ਕਵਿ ਕੀਰਤ ਜੋ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਨ ਮੁੜਿ ਲਾਗਹਿ ਤਿਨੑ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਜਮ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸੁ ॥ kav keerat jo sant charan murr laageh tina kaam krodh jam ko nahee traas | So speaks Keerat the poet: those who grasp hold of the feet of the Saints, are not afraid of death, sexual desire or anger. - Bhatt Keerat
ਜਿਵ ਅੰਗਦੁ ਅੰਗਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਤਿਵ ਗੁਰ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਕੈ ਗੁਰੁ ਰਾਮਦਾਸੁ ॥੧॥ jiv angad ang sang naanak gur tiv gur amaradaas kai gur raamadaas |1| Just as Guru Nanak was part and parcel, life and limb with Guru Angad, so is Guru Amar Daas one with Guru Raam Daas. ||1|| - Bhatt Keerat
ਜਿਨਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਯਉ ਨਿਸਿ ਬਾਸੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥ jin satigur sev padaarath paayau nis baasur har charan nivaas | Whoever serves the True Guru obtains the treasure; night and day, he dwells at the Lord’s Feet. - Bhatt Keerat
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਘਨ ਭਾਇ ਭਉ ਮਾਨਹਿ ਤੁਮ ਮਲੀਆਗਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਸੁਬਾਸੁ ॥ taa te sangat saghan bhaae bhau maaneh tum maleeaagar pragatt subaas | And so, the entire Sangat loves, fears and respects You. You are the sandalwood tree; Your fragrance spreads gloriously far and wide. - Bhatt Keerat
ਧ੍ਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਕਬੀਰ ਤਿਲੋਚਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਤ ਉਪਜੵੋ ਜੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ॥ dhraoo prahalaad kabeer tilochan naam lait upajayo ju pragaas | Dhroo, Prahlaad, Kabeer and Trilochan chanted the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and His Illumination radiantly shines forth. - Bhatt Keerat
ਜਿਹ ਪਿਖਤ ਅਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਰਹਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਈ ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਰੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸੁ ॥੨॥ jih pikhat at hoe rehas man soee sant sahaar guroo raamadaas |2| Seeing Him, the mind is totally delighted; Guru Raam Daas is the Helper and Support of the Saints. ||2|| - Bhatt Keerat
ਨਾਨਕਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਜਾਨੵਉ ਕੀਨੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥ naanak naam niranjan jaanyau keenee bhagat prem liv laaee | Guru Nanak realized the Immaculate Naam, the Name of the Lord. He was lovingly attuned to loving devotional worship of the Lord. - Bhatt Keerat
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਅੰਗਦੁ ਅੰਗ ਸੰਗਿ ਭਯੋ ਸਾਇਰੁ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਕੀ ਨੀਵ ਰਖਾਈ ॥ taa te angad ang sang bhayo saaeir tin sabad surat kee neev rakhaaee | Gur Angad was with Him, life and limb, like the ocean; He showered His consciousness with the Word of the Shabad. - Bhatt Keerat
ਗੁਰ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਹੈ ਇਕ ਜੀਹ ਕਛੁ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ gur amaradaas kee akath kathaa hai ik jeeh kachh kahee na jaaee | The Unspoken Speech of Guru Amar Daas cannot be expressed with only one tongue. - Bhatt Keerat
ਸੋਢੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ੍ਟਿ ਸਕਲ ਤਾਰਣ ਕਉ ਅਬ ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਕਉ ਮਿਲੀ ਬਡਾਈ ॥੩॥ sodtee srisatt sakal taaran kau ab gur raamadaas kau milee baddaaee |3| Guru Raam Daas of the Sodhi dynasty has now been blessed with Glorious Greatness, to carry the whole world across. ||3|| - Bhatt Keerat
ਹਮ ਅਵਗੁਣਿ ਭਰੇ ਏਕੁ ਗੁਣੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਛਾਡਿ ਬਿਖੈ ਬਿਖੁ ਖਾਈ ॥ ham avagun bhare ek gun naahee amrit chhaadd bikhai bikh khaaee | I am overflowing with sins and demerits; I have no merits or virtues at all. I abandoned the Ambrosial Nectar, and I drank poison instead. - Bhatt Keerat
ਮਾਯਾ ਮੋਹ ਭਰਮ ਪੈ ਭੂਲੇ ਸੁਤ ਦਾਰਾ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਈ ॥ maayaa moh bharam pai bhoole sut daaraa siau preet lagaaee | I am attached to Maya, and deluded by doubt; I have fallen in love with my children and spouse. - Bhatt Keerat
ਇਕੁ ਉਤਮ ਪੰਥੁ ਸੁਨਿਓ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਤਿਹ ਮਿਲੰਤ ਜਮ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਮਿਟਾਈ ॥ eik utam panth sunio gur sangat tih milant jam traas mittaaee | I have heard that the most exalted Path of all is the Sangat, the Guru’s Congregation. Joining it, the fear of death is taken away. - Bhatt Keerat
ਇਕ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਭਾਟ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਕੀ ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੪॥੫੮॥ eik aradaas bhaatt keerat kee gur raamadaas raakhahu saranaaee |4|58| Keerat the poet offers this one prayer: O Guru Raam Daas, save me! Take me into Your Sanctuary! ||4||58|| - Bhatt Keerat
ਮੋਹੁ ਮਲਿ ਬਿਵਸਿ ਕੀਅਉ ਕਾਮੁ ਗਹਿ ਕੇਸ ਪਛਾੜੵਉ ॥ mohu mal bivas keeo kaam geh kes pachhaarryau | He has crushed and overpowered emotional attachment. He seized sexual desire by the hair, and threw it down. - Bhatt Salh
ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਖੰਡਿ ਪਰਚੰਡਿ ਲੋਭੁ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਸਿਉ ਝਾੜੵਉ ॥ krodh khandd parachandd lobh apamaan siau jhaarryau | With His Power, He cut anger into pieces, and sent greed away in disgrace. - Bhatt Salh
ਜਨਮੁ ਕਾਲੁ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਜੋ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਮੰਨੈ ॥ janam kaal kar jorr hukam jo hoe su manai | Life and death, with palms pressed together, respect and obey the Hukam of His Command. - Bhatt Salh
ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਬੰਧਿਅਉ ਸਿਖ ਤਾਰੇ ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨੈ ॥ bhav saagar bandhiaau sikh taare suprasanai | He brought the terrifying world-ocean under His Control; by His Pleasure, He carried His Sikhs across. - Bhatt Salh
ਸਿਰਿ ਆਤਪਤੁ ਸਚੌ ਤਖਤੁ ਜੋਗ ਭੋਗ ਸੰਜੁਤੁ ਬਲਿ ॥ sir aatapat sachau takhat jog bhog sanjut bal | He is seated upon the Throne of Truth, with the canopy above His Head; He is embellished with the powers of Yoga and the enjoyment of pleasures. - Bhatt Salh
ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਸਚੁ ਸਲੵ ਭਣਿ ਤੂ ਅਟਲੁ ਰਾਜਿ ਅਭਗੁ ਦਲਿ ॥੧॥ gur raamadaas sach salay bhan too attal raaj abhag dal |1| So speaks SALL the poet: O Guru Raam Daas, Your sovereign power is eternal and unbreakable; Your army is invincible. ||1|| - Bhatt Salh
ਤੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਚਹੁ ਜੁਗੀ ਆਪਿ ਆਪੇ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ॥ too satigur chahu jugee aap aape paramesar | You are the True Guru, throughout the four ages; You Yourself are the Transcendent Lord. - Bhatt Salh
ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਸਿਧ ਸਿਖ ਸੇਵੰਤ ਧੁਰਹ ਧੁਰੁ ॥ sur nar saadhik sidh sikh sevant dhurah dhur | The angelic beings, seekers, Siddhas and Sikhs have served You, since the very beginning of time. - Bhatt Salh
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਕਲਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਲੋਅਹ ॥ aad jugaad anaad kalaa dhaaree trihu loah | You are the Primal Lord God, from the very beginning, and throughout the ages; Your Power supports the three worlds. - Bhatt Salh
ਅਗਮ ਨਿਗਮ ਉਧਰਣ ਜਰਾ ਜੰਮਿਹਿ ਆਰੋਅਹ ॥ agam nigam udharan jaraa jamihi aaroah | You are Inaccessible; You are the Saving Grace of the Vedas. You have conquered old age and death. - Bhatt Salh
ਗੁਰ ਅਮਰਦਾਸਿ ਥਿਰੁ ਥਪਿਅਉ ਪਰਗਾਮੀ ਤਾਰਣ ਤਰਣ ॥ gur amaradaas thir thapiaau paragaamee taaran taran | Guru Amar Daas has permanently established You; You are the Emancipator, to carry all across to the other side. - Bhatt Salh
ਅਘ ਅੰਤਕ ਬਦੈ ਨ ਸਲੵ ਕਵਿ ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣ ॥੨॥੬੦॥ agh antak badai na salay kav gur raamadaas teree saran |2|60| So speaks SALL the poet: O Guru Raam Daas, You are the Destroyer of sins; I seek Your Sanctuary. ||2||60|| - Bhatt Salh

ਸਿਮਰੰ ਸੋਈ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਚਲੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥ simaran soee purakh achal abinaasee | Meditate in remembrance on the Primal Lord God, Eternal and Imperishable. - Bhatt Kalh Sahar
ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਲੁ ਨਾਸੀ ॥ jis simarat duramat mal naasee | Remembering Him in meditation, the filth of evil-mindedness is eradicated. - Bhatt Kalh Sahar
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਣ ਕਵਲ ਰਿਦਿ ਧਾਰੰ ॥ satigur charan kaval rid dhaaran | I enshrine the Lotus Feet of the True Guru within my heart. - Bhatt Kalh Sahar
