ਹਾਥ ਪਾਉ ਕਰਿ ਕਾਮੁ ਸਭੁ ਚੀਤੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੨੧੩॥ haath paau kar kaam sabh cheet niranjan naal |213| With your hands and feet, do all your work, but let your consciousness remain with the Immaculate Lord. ||213|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਕਬੀਰਾ ਹਮਰਾ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਹਮ ਕਿਸ ਹੂ ਕੇ ਨਾਹਿ ॥ kabeeraa hamaraa ko nahee ham kis hoo ke naeh | Kabeer, no one belongs to me, and I belong to no one else. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜਿਨਿ ਇਹੁ ਰਚਨੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਹਿ ॥੨੧੪॥ jin ihu rachan rachaaeaa tis hee maeh samaeh |214| The One who created the creation - into Him I shall be absorbed. ||214|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਕੀਚੜਿ ਆਟਾ ਗਿਰਿ ਪਰਿਆ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਆਇਓ ਹਾਥ ॥ kabeer keecharr aattaa gir pariaa kichhoo na aaeo haath | Kabeer, the flour has fallen into the mud; nothing has come into my hands. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਪੀਸਤ ਪੀਸਤ ਚਾਬਿਆ ਸੋਈ ਨਿਬਹਿਆ ਸਾਥ ॥੨੧੫॥ peesat peesat chaabiaa soee nibahiaa saath |215| That which was eaten while it was being ground - that alone is of any use. ||215|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਮਨੁ ਜਾਨੈ ਸਭ ਬਾਤ ਜਾਨਤ ਹੀ ਅਉਗਨੁ ਕਰੈ ॥ kabeer man jaanai sabh baat jaanat hee aaugan karai | Kabeer, the mortal knows everything, and knowing, he still makes mistakes. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਾਹੇ ਕੀ ਕੁਸਲਾਤ ਹਾਥਿ ਦੀਪੁ ਕੂਏ ਪਰੈ ॥੨੧੬॥ kaahe kee kusalaat haath deep kooe parai |216| What good is a lamp in one’s hand, if he falls into the well? ||216|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸੁਜਾਨ ਸਿਉ ਬਰਜੈ ਲੋਗੁ ਅਜਾਨੁ ॥ kabeer laagee preet sujaan siau barajai log ajaan | Kabeer, I am in love with the All-knowing Lord; the ignorant ones try to hold me back. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਟੂਟੀ ਕਿਉ ਬਨੈ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਜੀਅ ਪਰਾਨ ॥੨੧੭॥ taa siau ttoottee kiau banai jaa ke jeea paraan |217| How could I ever break with the One, who owns our soul and breath of life. ||217|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਕੋਠੇ ਮੰਡਪ ਹੇਤੁ ਕਰਿ ਕਾਹੇ ਮਰਹੁ ਸਵਾਰਿ ॥ kabeer kotthe manddap het kar kaahe marahu savaar | Kabeer, why kill yourself for your love of decorations of your home and mansion? - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਾਢੇ ਤੀਨਿ ਹਥ ਘਨੀ ਤ ਪਉਨੇ ਚਾਰਿ ॥੨੧੮॥ kaaraj saadte teen hath ghanee ta paune chaar |218| In the end, only six feet, or a little more, shall be your lot. ||218|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਜੋ ਮੈ ਚਿਤਵਉ ਨਾ ਕਰੈ ਕਿਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿਤਵੇ ਹੋਇ ॥ kabeer jo mai chitvau naa karai kiaa mere chitave hoe | Kabeer, whatever I wish for does not happen. What can I accomplish by merely thinking? - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਪਨਾ ਚਿਤਵਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਕਰੈ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥੨੧੯॥ apanaa chitaviaa har karai jo mere chit na hoe |219| The Lord does whatever He wishes; it is not up to me at all. ||219|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਚਿੰਤਾ ਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਇਸੀ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਭਿ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ॥ chintaa bhi aap karaaeisee achint bhi aape dee | God Himself makes the mortals anxious, and He Himself takes the anxiety away. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਜਿ ਸਭਨਾ ਸਾਰ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੨੨੦॥ naanak so saalaaheeai ji sabhanaa saar karee |220| O Nanak, praise the One, who takes care of all. ||220|| - Guru Amardas Ji

ਕਬੀਰ ਰਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤਿਓ ਫਿਰਿਆ ਲਾਲਚ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ kabeer raam na chetio firiaa laalach maeh | Kabeer, the mortal does not remember the Lord; he wanders around, engrossed in greed. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਪਾਪ ਕਰੰਤਾ ਮਰਿ ਗਇਆ ਅਉਧ ਪੁਨੀ ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥੨੨੧॥ paap karantaa mar geaa aaudh punee khin maeh |221| Committing sins, he dies, and his life ends in an instant. ||221|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਕਾਇਆ ਕਾਚੀ ਕਾਰਵੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਕਾਚੀ ਧਾਤੁ ॥ kabeer kaaeaa kaachee kaaravee keval kaachee dhaat | Kabeer, the body is like a clay vessel or a brittle metal pot. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਾਬਤੁ ਰਖਹਿ ਤ ਰਾਮ ਭਜੁ ਨਾਹਿ ਤ ਬਿਨਠੀ ਬਾਤ ॥੨੨੨॥ saabat rakheh ta raam bhaj naeh ta binatthee baat |222| If you wish to keep it safe and sound, then vibrate and meditate on the Lord; otherwise, the thing shall break. ||222|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਕੇਸੋ ਕੇਸੋ ਕੂਕੀਐ ਨ ਸੋਈਐ ਅਸਾਰ ॥ kabeer keso keso kookeeai na soeeai asaar | Kabeer, chant the Name of the Beautifully-haired Lord; do not sleep unaware. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਰਾਤਿ ਦਿਵਸ ਕੇ ਕੂਕਨੇ ਕਬਹੂ ਕੇ ਸੁਨੈ ਪੁਕਾਰ ॥੨੨੩॥ raat divas ke kookane kabahoo ke sunai pukaar |223| Chanting His Name night and day, the Lord will eventually hear your call. ||223|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਕਾਇਆ ਕਜਲੀ ਬਨੁ ਭਇਆ ਮਨੁ ਕੁੰਚਰੁ ਮਯ ਮੰਤੁ ॥ kabeer kaaeaa kajalee ban bheaa man kunchar may mant | Kabeer, the body is a banana forest, and the mind is an intoxicated elephant. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅੰਕਸੁ ਗੵਾਨੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਹੈ ਖੇਵਟੁ ਬਿਰਲਾ ਸੰਤੁ ॥੨੨੪॥ ankas gayaan ratan hai khevatt biralaa sant |224| The jewel of spiritual wisdom is the prod, and the rare Saint is the rider. ||224|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਮੁਖੁ ਕੋਥਰੀ ਪਾਰਖ ਆਗੈ ਖੋਲਿ ॥ kabeer raam ratan mukh kotharee paarakh aagai khol | Kabeer, the Lord’s Name is the jewel, and the mouth is the purse; open this purse to the Appraiser. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕੋਈ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੈਗੋ ਗਾਹਕੀ ਲੇਗੋ ਮਹਗੇ ਮੋਲਿ ॥੨੨੫॥ koee aae milaigo gaahakee lego mahage mol |225| If a buyer can be found, it will go for a high price. ||225|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਾਨਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਲਿਓ ਕਟਕੁ ਕੁਟੰਬੁ ॥ kabeer raam naam jaanio nahee paalio kattak kuttanb | Kabeer, the mortal does not know the Lord’s Name, but he has raised a very large family. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਧੰਧੇ ਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਮਰਿ ਗਇਓ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭਈ ਨ ਬੰਬ ॥੨੨੬॥ dhandhe hee meh mar geo baahar bhee na banb |226| He dies in the midst of his worldly affairs, and then he is not heard in the external world. ||226|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖੀ ਕੇਰੇ ਮਾਟੁਕੇ ਪਲੁ ਪਲੁ ਗਈ ਬਿਹਾਇ ॥ kabeer aakhee kere maattuke pal pal gee bihaae | Kabeer, in the blink of an eye, moment by moment, life is passing by. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਨੁ ਜੰਜਾਲੁ ਨ ਛੋਡਈ ਜਮ ਦੀਆ ਦਮਾਮਾ ਆਇ ॥੨੨੭॥ man janjaal na chhoddee jam deea damaamaa aae |227| The mortal does not give up his worldly entanglements; the Messenger of Death walks in and beats the drum. ||227|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਤਰਵਰ ਰੂਪੀ ਰਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਫਲ ਰੂਪੀ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ॥ kabeer taravar roopee raam hai fal roopee bairaag | Kabeer, the Lord is the tree, and disillusionment with the world is the fruit. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਛਾਇਆ ਰੂਪੀ ਸਾਧੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਤਜਿਆ ਬਾਦੁ ਬਿਬਾਦੁ ॥੨੨੮॥ chhaaeaa roopee saadh hai jin tajiaa baad bibaad |228| The Holy man, who has abandoned useless arguments, is the shade of the tree. ||228|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਐਸਾ ਬੀਜੁ ਬੋਇ ਬਾਰਹ ਮਾਸ ਫਲੰਤ ॥ kabeer aisaa beej boe baarah maas falant | Kabeer, plant the seeds of such a plant, which shall bear fruit throughout the twelve months, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੀਤਲ ਛਾਇਆ ਗਹਿਰ ਫਲ ਪੰਖੀ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੰਤ ॥੨੨੯॥ seetal chhaaeaa gahir fal pankhee kel karant |229| with cooling shade and abundant fruit, upon which birds joyously play. ||229|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਦਾਤਾ ਤਰਵਰੁ ਦਯਾ ਫਲੁ ਉਪਕਾਰੀ ਜੀਵੰਤ ॥ kabeer daataa taravar dayaa fal upakaaree jeevant | Kabeer, the Great Giver is the tree, which blesses all with the fruit of compassion. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਪੰਖੀ ਚਲੇ ਦਿਸਾਵਰੀ ਬਿਰਖਾ ਸੁਫਲ ਫਲੰਤ ॥੨੩੦॥ pankhee chale disaavaree birakhaa sufal falant |230| When the birds migrate to other lands, O Tree, you bear the fruits. ||230|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੁ ਪਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇ ਲਿਲਾਟ ॥ kabeer saadhoo sang paraapatee likhiaa hoe lilaatt | Kabeer, the mortal finds the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, if he has such destiny written upon his forehead. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
