ਪੂਰਾ ਭਾਗੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ pooraa bhaag hovai mukh masatak sadaa har ke gun gaeh |1| rahaau | Perfect destiny is inscribed upon your forehead and face; sing the Praises of the Lord forever. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਇ ॥ amrit naam bhojan har dee | The Lord bestows the Ambrosial Food of the Naam. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਕੋਟਿ ਮਧੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਲੇਇ ॥ kott madhe koee viralaa lee | Out of millions, only a rare few receive it - Guru Amardas Ji
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਅਪਣੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੧॥ jis no apanee nadar karee |1|

ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਵਸਾਇ ॥ gur ke charan man maeh vasaae | Whoever enshrines the Guru’s Feet within his mind, - Guru Amardas Ji
ਦੁਖੁ ਅਨੑੇਰਾ ਅੰਦਰਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥ dukh anaeraa andarahu jaae | is rid of pain and darkness from within. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥੨॥ aape saachaa le milaae |2| The True Lord unites him with Himself. ||2|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਇ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥ gur kee baanee siau laae piaar | So embrace love for the Word of the Guru’s Bani. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਐਥੈ ਓਥੈ ਏਹੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥ aithai othai ehu adhaar | Here and hereafter, this is your only Support. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵੈ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰੁ ॥੩॥ aape devai sirajanahaar |3| The Creator Lord Himself bestows it. ||3|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸਚਾ ਮਨਾਏ ਅਪਣਾ ਭਾਣਾ ॥ sachaa manaae apanaa bhaanaa | One whom the Lord inspires to accept His Will, - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸੋਈ ਭਗਤੁ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੋੁਜਾਣਾ ॥ soee bhagat sugharr suojaanaa | is a wise and knowing devotee. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਣਾ ॥੪॥੭॥੧੭॥੭॥੨੪॥ naanak tis kai sad kurabaanaa |4|7|17|7|24| Nanak is forever a sacrifice to him. ||4||7||17||7||24|| - Guru Amardas Ji

ਰਸਕਿ ਰਸਕਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਲਿਵ ਉਨਮਨਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਗਾਨ ॥ rasak rasak gun gaavah guramat liv unaman naam lagaan | Through the Guru’s Teachings, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord with joyous love and delight; I am enraptured, lovingly attuned to the Naam, the Name of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਆ ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ ਹਮ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ॥੧॥ amrit ras peea gurasabadee ham naam vittahu kurabaan |1| Through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, I drink in the Ambrosial Essence; I am a sacrifice to the Naam. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਮਰੇ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ॥ hamare jagajeevan har praan | The Lord, the Life of the World, is my Breath of Life. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਊਤਮੁ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਭਾਇਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੰਤੁ ਦੀਓ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ har aootam rid antar bhaaeo gur mant deeo har kaan |1| rahaau | The Lofty and Exalted Lord became pleasing to my heart and my inner being, when the Guru breathed the Mantra of the Lord into my ears. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਨ ॥ aavahu sant milahu mere bhaaee mil har har naam vakhaan | Come, O Saints: let us join together, O Siblings of Destiny; let us meet and chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਈਐ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕਰਹੁ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਨ ॥੨॥ kit bidh kiau paaeeai prabh apunaa mo kau karahu upades har daan |2| How am I to find my God? Please bless me with the Gift of the Lord’s Teachings. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਜਾਨ ॥ satasangat meh har har vasiaa mil sangat har gun jaan | The Lord, Har, Har, abides in the Society of the Saints; joining this Sangat, the Lord’s Glories are known. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਈ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਸਿ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੩॥ vaddai bhaag satasangat paaee gur satigur paras bhagavaan |3| By great good fortune, the Society of the Saints is found. Through the Guru, the True Guru, I receive the Touch of the Lord God. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਗਮ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ਰਹੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ॥ gun gaavah prabh agam tthaakur ke gun gaae rahe hairaan | I sing the Glorious Praises of God, my Inaccessible Lord and Master; singing His Praises, I am enraptured. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਖਿਨ ਦਾਨ ॥੪॥੧॥ jan naanak kau gur kirapaa dhaaree har naam deeo khin daan |4|1| The Guru has showered His Mercy on servant Nanak; in an instant, He blessed him with the Gift of the Lord’s Name. ||4||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਉਗਵੈ ਸੂਰੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਸਭ ਰੈਨਿ ਸਮੑਾਲਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਲ ॥ augavai soor guramukh har boleh sabh rain samaaleh har gaal | With the rising of the sun, the Gurmukh speaks of the Lord. All through the night, he dwells upon the Sermon of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਮਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਹਮ ਲੋਚ ਲਗਾਈ ਹਮ ਕਰਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਲ ॥੧॥ hamarai prabh ham loch lagaaee ham karah prabhoo har bhaal |1| My God has infused this longing within me; I seek my Lord God. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ਰਵਾਲ ॥ meraa man saadhoo dhoor ravaal | My mind is the dust of the feet of the Holy. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਗੁਰ ਪਗ ਝਾਰਹ ਹਮ ਬਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ har har naam drirraaeo gur meetthaa gur pag jhaarah ham baal |1| rahaau | The Guru has implanted the Sweet Name of the Lord, Har, Har, within me. I dust the Guru’s Feet with my hair. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਾਕਤ ਕਉ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਅੰਧਾਰੀ ਮੋਹਿ ਫਾਥੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਾਲ ॥ saakat kau din rain andhaaree mohi faathe maaeaa jaal | Dark are the days and nights of the faithless cynics; they are caught in the trap of attachment to Maya. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਖਿਨੁ ਪਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਨ ਵਸਿਓ ਰਿਨਿ ਬਾਧੇ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਬਾਲ ॥੨॥ khin pal har prabh ridai na vasio rin baadhe bahu bidh baal |2| The Lord God does not dwell in their hearts, even for an instant; every hair of their heads is totally tied up in debts. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਮਤਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਪਾਈ ਹਉ ਛੂਟੇ ਮਮਤਾ ਜਾਲ ॥ satasangat mil mat budh paaee hau chhootte mamataa jaal | Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, wisdom and understanding are obtained, and one is released from the traps of egotism and possessiveness. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਏ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੩॥ har naamaa har meetth lagaanaa gur kee sabad nihaal |3| The Lord’s Name, and the Lord, seem sweet to me. Through the Word of His Shabad, the Guru has made me happy. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਗੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥ ham baarik gur agam gusaaee gur kar kirapaa pratipaal | I am just a child; the Guru is the Unfathomable Lord of the World. In His Mercy, He cherishes and sustains me. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਬਿਖੁ ਭਉਜਲ ਡੁਬਦੇ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥੪॥੨॥ bikh bhaujal ddubade kaadt lehu prabh gur naanak baal gupaal |4|2| I am drowning in the ocean of poison; O God, Guru, Lord of the World, please save Your child, Nanak. ||4||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
