ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਜਨ ਭਾਈ ॥ har har naam japahu jan bhaaee | Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O Siblings of Destiny. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਮਨੁ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਅਘਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ gur prasaad man asathir hovai anadin har ras rahiaa aghaaee |1| rahaau | By Guru’s Grace, the mind becomes steady and stable; night and day, it remains satisfied with the Sublime Essence of the Lord. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਇਸੁ ਜੁਗ ਕਾ ਲਾਹਾ ਭਾਈ ॥ anadin bhagat karahu din raatee is jug kaa laahaa bhaaee | Night and day, perform devotional worship service to the Lord, day and night; this is the profit to be obtained in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, O Siblings of Destiny. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸਦਾ ਜਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਸਚਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈ ॥੨॥ sadaa jan niramal mail na laagai sach naam chit laaee |2| The humble beings are forever immaculate; no filth ever sticks to them. They focus their consciousness on the True Name. ||2|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸੁਖੁ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ sukh seegaar satiguroo dikhaaeaa naam vaddee vaddiaaee | The True Guru has revealed the ornamentation of peace; the Glorious Greatness of the Naam is Great! - Guru Amardas Ji
ਅਖੁਟ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਭਰੇ ਕਦੇ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹੁ ਭਾਈ ॥੩॥ akhutt bhanddaar bhare kade tott na aavai sadaa har sevahu bhaaee |3| The Inexhaustible Treasures are overflowing; they are never exhausted. So serve the Lord forever, O Siblings of Destiny. ||3|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਦੇਵੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਈ ॥ aape karataa jis no devai tis vasai man aaee | The Creator comes to abide in the minds of those whom He Himself has blessed. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਸਦਾ ਤੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥੪॥੧॥ naanak naam dhiaae sadaa too satigur deea dikhaaee |4|1| O Nanak, meditate forever on the Naam, which the True Guru has revealed. ||4||1|| - Guru Amardas Ji

ਨਿਰਗੁਣੀਆਰੇ ਕਉ ਬਖਸਿ ਲੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪੇ ਲੈਹੁ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥ niraguneeaare kau bakhas lai suaamee aape laihu milaaee | I am unworthy; please forgive me and bless me, O my Lord and Master, and unite me with Yourself. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਤੂ ਬਿਅੰਤੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਬਦੇ ਦੇਹੁ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੧॥ too biant teraa ant na paaeaa sabade dehu bujhaaee |1| You are Endless; no one can find Your limits. Through the Word of Your Shabad, You bestow understanding. ||1|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੁਧੁ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥ har jeeo tudh vittahu bal jaaee | O Dear Lord, I am a sacrifice to You. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਰਪੀ ਤੁਧੁ ਆਗੈ ਰਾਖਉ ਸਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ tan man arapee tudh aagai raakhau sadaa rahaan saranaaee |1| rahaau | I dedicate my mind and body and place them in offering before You; I shall remain in Your Sanctuary forever. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਆਪਣੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਦਾ ਰਖੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੋ ਦੇਹਿ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ aapane bhaane vich sadaa rakh suaamee har naamo dehi vaddiaaee | Please keep me forever under Your Will, O my Lord and Master; please bless me with the Glorious Greatness of Your Name. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਭਾਣਾ ਜਾਪੈ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੨॥ poore gur te bhaanaa jaapai anadin sehaj samaaee |2| Through the Perfect Guru, God’s Will is revealed; night and day, remain absorbed in peace and poise. ||2|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਤੇਰੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਜੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥ terai bhaanai bhagat je tudh bhaavai aape bakhas milaaee | Those devotees who accept Your Will are pleasing to You, Lord; You Yourself forgive them, and unite them with Yourself. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਤੇਰੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਗਨਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੩॥ terai bhaanai sadaa sukh paaeaa gur trisanaa agan bujhaaee |3| Accepting Your Will, I have found everlasting peace; the Guru has extinguished the fire of desire. ||3|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਜੋ ਤੂ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਕਰਤੇ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕਰਣਾ ਜਾਈ ॥ jo too kareh su hovai karate avar na karanaa jaaee | Whatever You do comes to pass, O Creator; nothing else can be done. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਵੈ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦਾਤਾ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ॥੪॥੨॥ naanak naavai jevadd avar na daataa poore gur te paaee |4|2| O Nanak, nothing is as great as the Blessing of the Name; it is obtained through the Perfect Guru. ||4||2|| - Guru Amardas Ji

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਲਾਹਿਆ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਤਿਨ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਤਾ ॥ guramukh har saalaahiaa jinaa tin salaeh har jaataa | The Gurmukhs praise the Lord; praising the Lord, they know Him. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਵਿਚਹੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਗਇਆ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ vichahu bharam geaa hai doojaa gur kai sabad pachhaataa |1| Doubt and duality are gone from within; they realize the Word of the Guru’s Shabad. ||1|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਕੁ ਸੋਈ ॥ har jeeo too meraa ik soee | O Dear Lord, You are my One and Only. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਤੁਧੁ ਜਪੀ ਤੁਧੈ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਤੁਝ ਤੇ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ tudh japee tudhai saalaahee gat mat tujh te hoee |1| rahaau | I meditate on You and praise You; salvation and wisdom come from You. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਲਾਹਨਿ ਸੇ ਸਾਦੁ ਪਾਇਨਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸਾਰੁ ॥ guramukh saalaahan se saad paaein meetthaa amrit saar | The Gurmukhs praise You; they receive the most excellent and sweet Ambrosial Nectar. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸਦਾ ਮੀਠਾ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਫੀਕਾ ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥੨॥ sadaa meetthaa kade na feekaa gurasabadee veechaar |2| This Nectar is forever sweet; it never loses its taste. Contemplate the Word of the Guru’s Shabad. ||2|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਜਿਨਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਇਆ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥ jin meetthaa laaeaa soee jaanai tis vittahu bal jaaee | He makes it seem so sweet to me; I am a sacrifice to Him. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸਬਦਿ ਸਲਾਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਈ ॥੩॥ sabad salaahee sadaa sukhadaataa vichahu aap gavaaee |3| Through the Shabad, I praise the Giver of peace forever. I have eradicated self-conceit from within. ||3|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੋ ਇਛੈ ਸੋ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਏ ॥ satigur meraa sadaa hai daataa jo ichhai so fal paae | My True Guru is forever the Giver. I receive whatever fruits and rewards I desire. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥੩॥ naanak naam milai vaddiaaee gurasabadee sach paae |4|3| O Nanak, through the Naam, glorious greatness is obtained; through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, the True One is found. ||4||3|| - Guru Amardas Ji

ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਮੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ਨਾ ਕੋ ਹੋਆ ਨ ਹੋਗੁ ॥੧॥ tudh jevadd mai avar na soojhai naa ko hoaa na hog |1| I cannot even conceive of any other as Great as You. There never was, and there never shall be. ||1|| - Guru Amardas Ji

ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਏਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jiau bhaavai tiau raakhahu mere suaamee eeh teree vaddiaaee |1| rahaau | As it pleases You, You save me, O my Lord and Master; this is Your Glorious Greatness. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Amardas Ji
