ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਜੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਗੇ ॥ prabh keejai kripaa nidhaan ham har gun gaavahage | O God, Treasure of Mercy, please bless me, that I may sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਉ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕਰਉ ਨਿਤ ਆਸ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਬ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ hau tumaree krau nit aas prabh mohi kab gal laavahige |1| rahaau | I always place my hopes in You; O God, when will you take me in Your Embrace? ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਮੁਗਧ ਇਆਨ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਮਝਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥ ham baarik mugadh eaan pitaa samajhaavahige | I am a foolish and ignorant child; Father, please teach me! - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੁਤੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਭੂਲਿ ਬਿਗਾਰਿ ਜਗਤ ਪਿਤ ਭਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧॥ sut khin khin bhool bigaar jagat pit bhaavahige |1| Your child makes mistakes again and again, but still, You are pleased with him, O Father of the Universe. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਮ ਦੇਹੁ ਸੋਈ ਹਮ ਪਾਵਹਗੇ ॥ jo har suaamee tum dehu soee ham paavahage | Whatever You give me, O my Lord and Master - that is what I receive. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮੋਹਿ ਦੂਜੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਠਉਰ ਜਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਹਮ ਜਾਵਹਗੇ ॥੨॥ mohi doojee naahee tthaur jis peh ham jaavahage |2| There is no other place where I can go. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਹਿ ਭਗਤ ਤਿਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥ jo har bhaaveh bhagat tinaa har bhaavahige | Those devotees who are pleasing to the Lord - the Lord is pleasing to them. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਜੋਤਿ ਰਲਿ ਜਾਵਹਗੇ ॥੩॥ jotee jot milaae jot ral jaavahage |3| Their light merges into the Light; the lights are merged and blended together. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਆਪਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥ har aape hoe kripaal aap liv laavahige | The Lord Himself has shown mercy; He lovingly attunes me to Himself. - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੂਖ ਨਿਵਾਰਣੁ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੇ ॥ paarabraham paramesur suaamee dookh nivaaran naaraaeine | O Supreme Lord God, Transcendent Lord and Master, Destroyer of pain, Transcendental Lord God. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਗਲ ਭਗਤ ਜਾਚਹਿ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਭਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਤਰਣ ਹਰਿ ਚਿੰਤਾਮਣੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ sagal bhagat jaacheh sukh saagar bhav nidh taran har chintaamane |1| rahaau | All Your devotees beg of You. Ocean of peace, carry us across the terrifying world-ocean; You are the Wish-fulfilling Jewel. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਦਮੋਦਰ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੇ ॥ deen deaal jagadees damodar har antarajaamee gobinde | Merciful to the meek and poor, Lord of the world, Support of the earth, Inner-knower, Searcher of hearts, Lord of the Universe. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਜਿਨ ਸ੍ਰੀਰਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੁਕੰਦੇ ॥੧॥ te nirbhau jin sreeraam dhiaaeaa guramat muraar har mukande |1| Those who meditate on the Supreme Lord become fearless. Through the Wisdom of the Guru’s Teachings, they meditate on the Lord, the Liberator Lord. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਗਦੀਸੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਜੋ ਆਏ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਭਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ॥ jagadeesur charan saran jo aae te jan bhav nidh paar pare | Those who come to Sanctuary at the Feet of the Lord of the Universe - those humble beings cross over the terrifying world-ocean. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥੨॥੧॥੭॥ bhagat janaa kee paij har raakhai jan naanak aap har kripaa kare |2|1|7| The Lord preserves the honor of His humble devotees; O servant Nanak, the Lord Himself showers them with His Grace. ||2||1||7|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਅਲਿ ਮਕਰੰਦ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਫੇਰਿ ਫੇਰਿ ਰੀਝੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ al makarand charan kamal siau man fer fer reejhai |1| rahaau | May the bumble-bee of my mind be immersed again and again in the Honey of Your Lotus Feet. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਆਨ ਜਲਾ ਸਿਉ ਕਾਜੁ ਨ ਕਛੂਐ ਹਰਿ ਬੂੰਦ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਕਉ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੧॥ aan jalaa siau kaaj na kachhooai har boond chaatrik kau deejai |1| I am not concerned with any other water; please bless this songbird with a Drop of Your Water, Lord. ||1|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬਿਨੁ ਮਿਲਬੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੰਤੋਖਾ ਪੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜੀਜੈ ॥੨॥੧॥ bin milabe naahee santokhaa pekh darasan naanak jeejai |2|1| Unless I meet my Lord, I am not satisfied. Nanak lives, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. ||2||1|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਜਾਚਿਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਜਾਚੈ ॥ jaachik naam jaachai jaachai | This beggar begs and begs for Your Name, Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਰਬ ਧਾਰ ਸਰਬ ਕੇ ਨਾਇਕ ਸੁਖ ਸਮੂਹ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ sarab dhaar sarab ke naaeik sukh samooh ke daate |1| rahaau | You are the Support of all, the Master of all, the Giver of absolute peace. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਕੇਤੀ ਕੇਤੀ ਮਾਂਗਨਿ ਮਾਗੈ ਭਾਵਨੀਆ ਸੋ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੧॥ ketee ketee maangan maagai bhaavaneea so paaeeai |1| So many, so very many, beg for charity at Your Door; they receive only what You are pleased to give. ||1|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਫਲ ਸਫਲ ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸੁ ਰੇ ਪਰਸਿ ਪਰਸਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਈਐ ॥ safal safal safal daras re paras paras gun gaaeeai | Fruitful, fruitful, fruitful is the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; touching His Touch, I sing His Glorious Praises. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਤ ਤਤ ਸਿਉ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਹੀਰੈ ਹੀਰੁ ਬਿਧਾਈਐ ॥੨॥੨॥ naanak tat tat siau mileeai heerai heer bidhaaeeai |2|2| O Nanak, one’s essence is blended into the Essence; the diamond of the mind is pierced through by the Diamond of the Lord. ||2||2|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
