ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ik oankaar sat naam karataa purakh nirbhau niravair akaal moorat ajoonee saibhan gur prasaad | One Universal Creator God. ਰਾਮਾ ਰਮ ਰਾਮੈ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ raamaa ram raamai ant na paaeaa | The Lord, the Beauteous Lord - no one has found His limits. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰੇ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਤੂ ਬਡ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ham baarik pratipaare tumare too badd purakh pitaa meraa maaeaa |1| rahaau | I am a child - You cherish and sustain me. You are the Great Primal Being, my Mother and Father. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਸੰਖ ਅਗਮ ਹਹਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਮ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ॥ har ke naam asankh agam heh agam agam har raaeaa | The Names of the Lord are Countless and Unfathomable. My Sovereign Lord is Unfathomable and Incomprehensible. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਣੀ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਬਹੁ ਕੀਨੀ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ gunee giaanee surat bahu keenee ik til nahee keemat paaeaa |1| The virtuous and the spiritual teachers have given it great thought, but they have not found even an iota of His Value. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੋਬਿਦ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਸਦ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ gobid gun gobid sad gaaveh gun gobid ant na paaeaa | They sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, the Lord of the Universe forever. They sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, but they do not find His limits. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੂ ਅਮਿਤਿ ਅਤੋਲੁ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬਹੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਥਾਹ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥ too amit atol aparanpar suaamee bahu japeeai thaah na paaeaa |2| You are Immeasurable, Unweighable, and Infinite, O Lord and Master; no matter how much one may meditate on You, Your Depth cannot be fathomed. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਜਨ ਮਾਧੌ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ॥ ausatat kareh tumaree jan maadhau gun gaaveh har raaeaa | Lord, Your humble servants praise You, singing Your Glorious Praises, O Sovereign Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੁਮੑ ਜਲ ਨਿਧਿ ਹਮ ਮੀਨੇ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ tuma jal nidh ham meene tumare teraa ant na katahoo paaeaa |3| You are the ocean of water, and I am Your fish. No one has ever found Your limits. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਮਧਸੂਦਨ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਇਆ ॥ jan kau kripaa karahu madhasoodan har devahu naam japaaeaa | Please be Kind to Your humble servant, Lord; please bless me with the meditation of Your Name. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਟੇਕ ਹੈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧॥ mai moorakh andhule naam ttek hai jan naanak guramukh paaeaa |4|1| I am a blind fool; Your Name is my only Support. Servant Nanak, as Gurmukh, has found it. ||4||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਹਸਿਆ ॥ har jan gun gaavat hasiaa | The humble servant of the Lord sings the Lord’s Praise, and blossoms forth. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਨੀ ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ har har bhagat banee mat guramat dhur masatak prabh likhiaa |1| rahaau | My intellect is embellished with devotion to the Lord, Har, Har, through the Guru’s Teachings. This is the destiny which God has recorded on my forehead. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਪਗ ਸਿਮਰਉ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਸਿਆ ॥ gur ke pag simrau din raatee man har har har basiaa | I meditate in remembrance on the Guru’s Feet, day and night. The Lord, Har, Har, Har, comes to dwell in my mind. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਜਗਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਘਸਿ ਚੰਦਨੁ ਜਸੁ ਘਸਿਆ ॥੧॥ har har har keerat jag saaree ghas chandan jas ghasiaa |1| The Praise of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, is Excellent and Sublime in this world. His Praise is the sandalwood paste which I rub. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ਸਭਿ ਸਾਕਤ ਖੋਜਿ ਪਇਆ ॥ har jan har har har liv laaee sabh saakat khoj peaa | The humble servant of the Lord is lovingly attuned to the Lord, Har, Har, Har; all the faithless cynics pursue him. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਉ ਕਿਰਤ ਸੰਜੋਗਿ ਚਲਿਓ ਨਰ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਪਗੁ ਨਾਗਨਿ ਛੁਹਿ ਜਲਿਆ ॥੨॥ jiau kirat sanjog chalio nar nindak pag naagan chhuhi jaliaa |2| The slanderous person acts in accordance with the record of his past deeds; his foot trips over the snake, and he is stung by its bite. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਕੇ ਤੁਮੑ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਮੑ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਜਨ ਰਖਿਆ ॥ jan ke tuma har raakhe suaamee tuma jug jug jan rakhiaa | O my Lord and Master, You are the Saving Grace, the Protector of Your humble servants. You protect them, age after age. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕਹਾ ਭਇਆ ਦੈਤਿ ਕਰੀ ਬਖੀਲੀ ਸਭ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਝਰਿ ਪਰਿਆ ॥੩॥ kahaa bheaa dait karee bakheelee sabh kar kar jhar pariaa |3| What does it matter, if a demon speaks evil? By doing so, he only gets frustrated. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੇਤੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਏ ਸਭਿ ਕਾਲੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਗ੍ਰਸਿਆ ॥ jete jeea jant prabh kee sabh kaalai mukh grasiaa | All the beings and creatures created by God are caught in the mouth of Death. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਇਆ ॥੪॥੨॥ har jan har har har prabh raakhe jan naanak saran peaa |4|2| The humble servants of the Lord are protected by the Lord God, Har, Har, Har; servant Nanak seeks His Sanctuary. ||4||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
