ਹਰਿ ਤੁਮ ਵਡ ਵਡੇ ਵਡੇ ਵਡ ਊਚੇ ਸੋ ਕਰਹਿ ਜਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੀਸ ॥ har tum vadd vadde vadde vadd aooche so kareh ji tudh bhaavees | O Lord, You are the Greatest of the Great, the Greatest of the Great, the most Lofty and High. You do whatever You please. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਆ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਬੀਸ ॥੨॥੨॥੮॥ jan naanak amrit peea guramatee dhan dhan dhan dhan dhan guroo saabees |2|2|8| Servant Nanak drinks in the Ambrosial Nectar through the Guru’s Teachings. ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮੋ ਮਨਿ ਰਾਮ ॥ bhaj raamo man raam | O mind, meditate and vibrate on the Lord, Raam, Raam. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਸੁ ਰੂਪ ਨ ਰੇਖ ਵਡਾਮ ॥ jis roop na rekh vaddaam | He has no form or feature - He is Great! - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲੁ ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮ ॥ satasangat mil bhaj raam | Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, vibrate and meditate on the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਬਡ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਭਾਗ ਮਥਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ badd ho ho bhaag mathaam |1| rahaau | This is the high destiny written on your forehead. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਤੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹੋਤੁ ਜਾਸੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਆਨਦੋ ਆਨੰਦੁ ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ॥ jit grihi mandar har hot jaas tith ghar aanado aanand bhaj raam raam raam | That household, that mansion, in which the Lord’s Praises are sung - that home is filled with ecstasy and joy; so vibrate and meditate on the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਹਰੇ ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥ raam naam gun gaavahu har preetam upades guroo gur satiguraa sukh hot har hare har hare hare bhaj raam raam raam |1| Sing the Glorious Praises of the Name of the Lord, the Beloved Lord. ਸਭ ਸਿਸਟਿ ਧਾਰ ਹਰਿ ਤੁਮ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ॥ sabh sisatt dhaar har tum kirapaal karataa sabh too too too raam raam raam | You are the Support of the whole universe, Lord; O Merciful Lord, You, You, You are the Creator of all, Raam, Raam, Raam. - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਾਟਉ ਪਗ ਚਾਟ ॥ satigur chaattau pag chaatt | I eagerly kiss the Feet of the True Guru. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਤੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਧਰ ਬਾਟ ॥ jit mil har paadhar baatt | Meeting Him, the Path to the Lord becomes smooth and easy. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਭਜੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਰਸ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਟ ॥ bhaj har ras ras har gaatt | I lovingly vibrate and meditate on the Lord, and gulp down His Sublime Essence. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਲਿਖੇ ਲਿਲਾਟ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ har ho ho likhe lilaatt |1| rahaau | The Lord has written this destiny on my forehead. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਖਟ ਕਰਮ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਕਰਿ ਬਹੁ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਸਥਾਰ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਜੋਗੀਆ ਕਰਿ ਜਟ ਜਟਾ ਜਟ ਜਾਟ ॥ khatt karam kiriaa kar bahu bahu bisathaar sidh saadhik jogeea kar jatt jattaa jatt jaatt | Some perform the six rituals and rites; the Siddhas, seekers and Yogis put on all sorts of pompous shows, with their hair all tangled and matted. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕਰਿ ਭੇਖ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੋਗੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਤਸੰਗਤੀ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਖੋਲਿ ਖੋਲਿ ਕਪਾਟ ॥੧॥ kar bhekh na paaeeai har braham jog har paaeeai satasangatee upades guroo gur sant janaa khol khol kapaatt |1| Yoga - Union with the Lord God - is not obtained by wearing religious robes; the Lord is found in the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and the Guru’s Teachings. The humble Saints throw the doors wide open. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੂ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਤਿ ਅਗਾਹੁ ਤੂ ਭਰਪੁਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਜਲ ਥਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਇਕੁ ਇਕੋ ਇਕ ਏਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਥਾਟ ॥ too aparanpar suaamee at agaahu too bharapur rahiaa jal thale har ik iko ik ekai har thaatt | O my Lord and Master, You are the farthest of the far, utterly unfathomable. You are totally pervading the water and the land. You alone are the One and Only Unique Lord of all creation. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੂ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਆਪੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਘਟਿ ਘਟੇ ਘਟਿ ਘਟੇ ਘਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਘਾਟ ॥੨॥੪॥੧੦॥ too jaaneh sabh bidh boojheh aape jan naanak ke prabh ghatt ghatte ghatt ghatte ghatt har ghaatt |2|4|10| You alone know all Your ways and means. You alone understand Yourself. Servant Nanak’s Lord God is in each heart, in every heart, in the home of each and every heart. ||2||4||10|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਮਾਧੋ ॥ jap man gobid maadho | O mind, chant and meditate on the Lord, the Lord of the Universe. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧੋ ॥ har har agam agaadho | The Lord, Har, Har, is inaccessible and unfathomable. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਲਾਧੋ ॥ mat guramat har prabh laadho | Through the Guru’s Teachings, my intellect attains the Lord God. - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਬਿਖੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਸੰਚਿ ਬਹੁ ਚਿਤੈ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਧੋ ॥ bikh maaeaa sanch bahu chitai bikaar sukh paaeeai har bhaj sant sant sangatee mil satiguroo gur saadho | Collecting the poison of Maya, people think of all sorts of evil. But peace is found only by vibrating and meditating on the Lord; with the Saints, in the Sangat, the Society of the Saints, meet the True Guru, the Holy Guru. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਉ ਛੁਹਿ ਪਾਰਸ ਮਨੂਰ ਭਏ ਕੰਚਨ ਤਿਉ ਪਤਿਤ ਜਨ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਸੁਧ ਹੋਵਤ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਸੁਧ ਹਾਧੋ ॥੧॥ jiau chhuhi paaras manoor bhe kanchan tiau patit jan mil sangatee sudh hovat guramatee sudh haadho |1| Just as when the iron slag is transmuted into gold by touching the Philosopher’s Stone - when the sinner joins the Sangat, he becomes pure, through the Guru’s Teachings. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਉ ਕਾਸਟ ਸੰਗਿ ਲੋਹਾ ਬਹੁ ਤਰਤਾ ਤਿਉ ਪਾਪੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਰੇ ਸਾਧ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸਾਧੋ ॥ jiau kaasatt sang lohaa bahu tarataa tiau paapee sang tare saadh saadh sangatee gur satiguroo gur saadho | Just like the heavy iron which is carried across on the wooden raft, sinners are carried across in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and the Guru, the True Guru, the Holy Guru. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਚਾਰਿ ਬਰਨ ਚਾਰਿ ਆਸ੍ਰਮ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਮਿਲੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਕੁਲ ਸਗਲ ਤਰਾਧੋ ॥੨॥੫॥੧੧॥ chaar baran chaar aasram hai koee milai guroo gur naanak so aap tarai kul sagal taraadho |2|5|11| There are four castes, four social classes, and four stages of life. Whoever meets the Guru, Guru Nanak, is himself carried across, and he carries all his ancestors and generations across as well. ||2||5||11|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਤ ਪਾਪ ਲਹਾਨ ॥ jas gaavat paap lahaan | Singing His Praises, sins are washed away. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਜਸੁ ਕਾਨ ॥ mat guramat sun jas kaan | Through the Word of the Guru’s Teachings, listen to His Praises with your ears. - Guru Ramdas Ji
