ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ik oankaar sat naam karataa purakh nirbhau niravair akaal moorat ajoonee saibhan gur prasaad | One Universal Creator God. ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾਂ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿਆ ॥ meraa man saadh janaan mil hariaa | Meeting with the Holy people, my mind blossoms forth. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾਂ ਕਉ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਰਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ hau bal bal bal bal saadh janaan kau mil sangat paar utariaa |1| rahaau | I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice to those Holy beings; joining the Sangat, the Congregation, I am carried across to the other side. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੀ ਹਮ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾਂ ਪਗ ਪਰਿਆ ॥ har har kripaa karahu prabh apanee ham saadh janaan pag pariaa | O Lord, Har, Har, please bless me with Your Mercy, God, that I may fall at the feet of the Holy. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸਾਧ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਰਿਆ ॥੧॥ dhan dhan saadh jin har prabh jaaniaa mil saadhoo patit udhariaa |1| Blessed, blessed are the Holy, who know the Lord God. Meeting with the Holy, even sinners are saved. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮਨੂਆ ਚਲੈ ਚਲੈ ਬਹੁ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਵਸਗਤਿ ਕਰਿਆ ॥ manooaa chalai chalai bahu bahu bidh mil saadhoo vasagat kariaa | The mind roams and rambles all around in all directions. Meeting with the Holy, it is overpowered and brought under control, - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਉਂ ਜਲ ਤੰਤੁ ਪਸਾਰਿਓ ਬਧਕਿ ਗ੍ਰਸਿ ਮੀਨਾ ਵਸਗਤਿ ਖਰਿਆ ॥੨॥ jiaun jal tant pasaario badhak gras meenaa vasagat khariaa |2| just as when the fisherman spreads his net over the water, he catches and overpowers the fish. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਤ ਭਲ ਨੀਕੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਲੁ ਲਹੀਆ ॥ har ke sant sant bhal neeke mil sant janaa mal laheea | The Saints, the Saints of the Lord, are noble and good. Meeting with the humble Saints, filth is washed away. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਉਮੈ ਦੁਰਤੁ ਗਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਨੀਕਰਿ ਜਿਉ ਸਾਬੁਨਿ ਕਾਪਰੁ ਕਰਿਆ ॥੩॥ haumai durat geaa sabh neekar jiau saabun kaapar kariaa |3| All the sins and egotism are washed away, like soap washing dirty clothes. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਿਲਾਟਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਧੁਰਿ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਉਰ ਧਰਿਆ ॥ masatak lilaatt likhiaa dhur tthaakur gur satigur charan ur dhariaa | According to that pre-ordained destiny inscribed on my forehead by my Lord and Master, I have enshrined the Feet of the Guru, the True Guru, within my heart. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਭੁ ਦਾਲਦੁ ਦੂਖ ਭੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਉਧਰਿਆ ॥੪॥੧॥ sabh daalad dookh bhanj prabh paaeaa jan naanak naam udhariaa |4|1| I have found God, the Destroyer of all poverty and pain; servant Nanak is saved through the Naam. ||4||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਪਗ ਰੇਨ ॥ meraa man sant janaa pag ren | My mind is the dust of the feet of the Saints. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਨੁ ਕੋਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਭੇਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ har har kathaa sunee mil sangat man koraa har rang bhen |1| rahaau | Joining the Sangat, the Congregation, I listen to the sermon of the Lord, Har, Har. My crude and uncultured mind is drenched with the Love of the Lord. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਮ ਅਚਿਤ ਅਚੇਤ ਨ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਏ ਸੁਚਿਤ ਚਿਤੇਨ ॥ ham achit achet na jaaneh gat mit gur kee suchit chiten | I am thoughtless and unconscious; I do not know God’s state and extent. The Guru has made me thoughtful and conscious. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਿ ਕੀਓ ਅੰਗੀਕ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੇਨ ॥੧॥ prabh deen deaal keeo angeekrit man har har naam japen |1| God is Merciful to the meek; He has made me His Own. My mind chants and meditates on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਹਿ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਕਟਿ ਦੇਵਉ ਹੀਅਰਾ ਤੇਨ ॥ har ke sant mileh man preetam katt devau heearaa ten | Meeting with the Lord’s Saints, the Beloveds of the mind, I would cut out my heart, and offer it to them. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਮ ਕੀਏ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵੇਨ ॥੨॥ har ke sant mile har miliaa ham kee patit paven |2| Meeting with the Lord’s Saints, I meet with the Lord; this sinner has been sanctified. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਜਨ ਊਤਮ ਜਗਿ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਜਿਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਪਾਥਰ ਸੇਨ ॥ har ke jan aootam jag kaheeeh jin miliaa paathar sen | The humble servants of the Lord are said to be exalted in this world; meeting with them, even stones are softened. - Guru Ramdas Ji
