ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਸੁਨਉ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਨੀ ॥੩॥ sravanee keeratan sunau din raatee hiradai har har bhaanee |3| With my ears, I listen to the Kirtan of His Praises, day and night. I love the Lord, Har, Har, with all my heart. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਪੰਚ ਜਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਵਸਗਤਿ ਆਣੇ ਤਉ ਉਨਮਨਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਗਾਨੀ ॥ panch janaa gur vasagat aane tau unaman naam lagaanee | When the Guru helped me to overcome the five thieves, then I found ultimate bliss, attached to the Naam. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥੪॥੫॥ jan naanak har kirapaa dhaaree har raamai naam samaanee |4|5| The Lord has showered His Mercy on servant Nanak; he merges in the Lord, in the Name of the Lord. ||4||5|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਪੜ੍ਹੁ ਸਾਰੁ ॥ jap man raam naam parrhu saar | O my mind, chant the Name of the Lord, and study His Excellence. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰੁ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਸਭੁ ਬਿਸਥਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ raam naam bin thir nahee koee hor nihafal sabh bisathaar |1| rahaau | Without the Lord’s Name, nothing is steady or stable. All the rest of the show is useless. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕਿਆ ਲੀਜੈ ਕਿਆ ਤਜੀਐ ਬਉਰੇ ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸੋ ਛਾਰੁ ॥ kiaa leejai kiaa tajeeai baure jo deesai so chhaar | What is there to accept, and what is there to reject, O madman? Whatever is seen shall turn to dust. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਸੁ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਕਉ ਤੁਮੑ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਸਾ ਛਾਡਿ ਜਾਹੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਭਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ jis bikhiaa kau tuma apunee kar jaanahu saa chhaadd jaahu sir bhaar |1| That poison which you believe to be your own - you must abandon it and leave it behind. What a load you have to carry on your head! ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤਿਲੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਪਲੁ ਪਲੁ ਅਉਧ ਫੁਨਿ ਘਾਟੈ ਬੂਝਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਗਵਾਰੁ ॥ til til pal pal aaudh fun ghaattai boojh na sakai gavaar | Moment by moment, instant by instant, your life is running out. The fool cannot understand this. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੈ ਜਿ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ਇਹੁ ਸਾਕਤ ਕਾ ਆਚਾਰੁ ॥੨॥ so kichh karai ji saath na chaalai ihu saakat kaa aachaar |2| He does things which will not go along with him in the end. This is the lifestyle of the faithless cynic. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲੁ ਬਉਰੇ ਤਉ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥ sant janaa kai sang mil baure tau paaveh mokh duaar | So join together with the humble Saints, O madman, and you shall find the Gate of Salvation. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਸੰਗ ਸੁਖੁ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ਪੂਛਹੁ ਬੇਦ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥੩॥ bin satasang sukh kinai na paaeaa jaae poochhahu bed beechaar |3| Without the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, no one finds any peace. Go and ask the scholars of the Vedas. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਰਾਣਾ ਰਾਉ ਸਭੈ ਕੋਊ ਚਾਲੈ ਝੂਠੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਜਾਇ ਪਾਸਾਰੁ ॥ raanaa raau sabhai koaoo chaalai jhootth chhodd jaae paasaar | All the kings and queens shall depart; they must leave this false expanse. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਜਿਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੬॥ naanak sant sadaa thir nihachal jin raam naam aadhaar |4|6| O Nanak, the Saints are eternally steady and stable; they take the Support of the Name of the Lord. ||4||6|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਕਾਹੇ ਪੂਤ ਝਗਰਤ ਹਉ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਾਪ ॥ kaahe poot jhagarat hau sang baap | O son, why do you argue with your father? - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਜਣੇ ਬਡੀਰੇ ਤੁਮ ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਸਿਉ ਝਗਰਤ ਪਾਪ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jin ke jane baddeere tum hau tin siau jhagarat paap |1| rahaau | It is a sin to argue with the one who fathered you and raised you. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਸੁ ਧਨ ਕਾ ਤੁਮ ਗਰਬੁ ਕਰਤ ਹਉ ਸੋ ਧਨੁ ਕਿਸਹਿ ਨ ਆਪ ॥ jis dhan kaa tum garab karat hau so dhan kiseh na aap | That wealth, which you are so proud of - that wealth does not belong to anyone. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਛੋਡਿ ਜਾਇ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਰਸੁ ਤਉ ਲਾਗੈ ਪਛੁਤਾਪ ॥੧॥ khin meh chhodd jaae bikhiaa ras tau laagai pachhutaap |1| In an instant, you shall have to leave behind all your corrupt pleasures; you shall be left to regret and repent. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੋ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹੋਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਜਾਪਹੁ ਜਾਪ ॥ jo tumare prabh hote suaamee har tin ke jaapahu jaap | He is God, your Lord and Master - chant the Chant of that Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਕਰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਤੁਮ ਕਉ ਜਉ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਤਉ ਜਾਇ ਸੰਤਾਪ ॥੨॥੧॥੭॥ aupades karat naanak jan tum kau jau sunahu tau jaae santaap |2|1|7| Servant Nanak spreads the Teachings; if you listen to it, you shall be rid of your pain. ||2||1||7|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਜਗੰਨਾਥ ਜਗਦੀਸਰੋ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੋ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਟੇਕ ਸਭ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਸਭ ਰਾਤਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jap man jaganaath jagadeesaro jagajeevano manamohan siau preet laagee mai har har har ttek sabh dinas sabh raat |1| rahaau | O my mind, meditate on the Lord of the World, the Master of the Universe, the Life of the World, the Enticer of the mind; fall in love with Him. I take the Support of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, all day and all night. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਅਨਿਕ ਅਨਿਕ ਅਨਿਕ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਸੁਕ ਨਾਰਦ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਦਿਕ ਤਵ ਗੁਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਗਨਿਨ ਨ ਜਾਤਿ ॥ har kee upamaa anik anik anik gun gaavat suk naarad brahamaadik tav gun suaamee ganin na jaat | Endless, endless, endless are the Praises of the Lord. Suk Dayv, Naarad and the gods like Brahma sing His Glorious Praises. Your Glorious Virtues, O my Lord and Master, cannot even be counted. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੂ ਹਰਿ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਤੂ ਹਰਿ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਤੂ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਆਪਨੀ ਭਾਂਤਿ ॥੧॥ too har beant too har beant too har suaamee too aape hee jaaneh aapanee bhaant |1| O Lord, You are Infinite, O Lord, You are Infinite, O Lord, You are my Lord and Master; only You Yourself know Your Own Ways. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਕਟ ਹੀ ਬਸਤੇ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਜਨ ਸਾਧੂ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਾਤ ॥ har kai nikatt nikatt har nikatt hee basate te har ke jan saadhoo har bhagaat | Those who are near, near to the Lord - those who dwell near the Lord - those humble servants of the Lord are the Holy, the devotees of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਰਲਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਜੈਸੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਲਲੈ ਸਲਲ ਮਿਲਾਤਿ ॥੨॥੧॥੮॥ te har ke jan har siau ral mile jaise jan naanak salalai salal milaat |2|1|8| Those humble servants of the Lord merge with their Lord, O Nanak, like water merging with water. ||2||1||8|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
