ਜਿਹ ਘਟੈ ਮੂਲੁ ਨਿਤ ਬਢੈ ਬਿਆਜੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jih ghattai mool nit badtai biaaj | rahaau | It depletes my capital, and the interest charges only increase. ||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਾਤ ਸੂਤ ਮਿਲਿ ਬਨਜੁ ਕੀਨ ॥ saat soot mil banaj keen | Weaving the seven threads together, they carry on their trade. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਰਮ ਭਾਵਨੀ ਸੰਗ ਲੀਨ ॥ karam bhaavanee sang leen | They are led on by the karma of their past actions. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤੀਨਿ ਜਗਾਤੀ ਕਰਤ ਰਾਰਿ ॥ teen jagaatee karat raar | The three tax-collectors argue with them. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਚਲੋ ਬਨਜਾਰਾ ਹਾਥ ਝਾਰਿ ॥੨॥ chalo banajaaraa haath jhaar |2| The traders depart empty-handed. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਪੂੰਜੀ ਹਿਰਾਨੀ ਬਨਜੁ ਟੂਟ ॥ poonjee hiraanee banaj ttoott | Their capital is exhausted, and their trade is ruined. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਟਾਂਡੋ ਗਇਓ ਫੂਟਿ ॥ deh dis ttaanddo geo foott | The caravan is scattered in the ten directions. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਮਨ ਸਰਸੀ ਕਾਜ ॥ keh kabeer man sarasee kaaj | Says Kabeer, O mortal, your tasks will be accomplished, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਨੋ ਤ ਭਰਮ ਭਾਜ ॥੩॥੬॥ sehaj samaano ta bharam bhaaj |3|6| when you merge in the Celestial Lord; let your doubts run away. ||3||6|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਮਾਤਾ ਜੂਠੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਭੀ ਜੂਠਾ ਜੂਠੇ ਹੀ ਫਲ ਲਾਗੇ ॥ maataa jootthee pitaa bhee jootthaa jootthe hee fal laage | The mother is impure, and the father is impure. The fruit they produce is impure. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਆਵਹਿ ਜੂਠੇ ਜਾਹਿ ਭੀ ਜੂਠੇ ਜੂਠੇ ਮਰਹਿ ਅਭਾਗੇ ॥੧॥ aaveh jootthe jaeh bhee jootthe jootthe mareh abhaage |1| Impure they come, and impure they go. The unfortunate ones die in impurity. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹੁ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਸੂਚਾ ਕਵਨੁ ਠਾਉ ॥ kahu panddit soochaa kavan tthaau | Tell me, O Pandit, O religious scholar, which place is uncontaminated? - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਹਾਂ ਬੈਸਿ ਹਉ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਖਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jahaan bais hau bhojan khaau |1| rahaau | Where should I sit to eat my meal? ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਹਬਾ ਜੂਠੀ ਬੋਲਤ ਜੂਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਿ ਜੂਠੇ ॥ jihabaa jootthee bolat jootthaa karan netr sabh jootthe | The tongue is impure, and its speech is impure. The eyes and ears are totally impure. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਕੀ ਜੂਠਿ ਉਤਰਸਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਅਗਨਿ ਕੇ ਲੂਠੇ ॥੨॥ eindree kee jootth utaras naahee braham agan ke lootthe |2| The impurity of the sexual organs does not depart; the Brahmin is burnt by the fire. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਗਨਿ ਭੀ ਜੂਠੀ ਪਾਨੀ ਜੂਠਾ ਜੂਠੀ ਬੈਸਿ ਪਕਾਇਆ ॥ agan bhee jootthee paanee jootthaa jootthee bais pakaaeaa | The fire is impure, and the water is impure. The place where you sit and cook is impure. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜੂਠੀ ਕਰਛੀ ਪਰੋਸਨ ਲਾਗਾ ਜੂਠੇ ਹੀ ਬੈਠਿ ਖਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ jootthee karachhee parosan laagaa jootthe hee baitth khaaeaa |3| Impure is the ladle which serves the food. Impure is the one who sits down to eat it. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਗੋਬਰੁ ਜੂਠਾ ਚਉਕਾ ਜੂਠਾ ਜੂਠੀ ਦੀਨੀ ਕਾਰਾ ॥ gobar jootthaa chaukaa jootthaa jootthee deenee kaaraa | Impure is the cow dung, and impure is the kitchen square. Impure are the lines that mark it off. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਮੇਰਾ ਚਿਤੁ ਨ ਚਲੈ ਮਨੁ ਭਇਓ ਪੰਗੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ meraa chit na chalai man bheo pang |1| rahaau | My consciousness does not go out wandering. My mind has become crippled. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Ramanand Ji
ਏਕ ਦਿਵਸ ਮਨ ਭਈ ਉਮੰਗ ॥ ek divas man bhee umang | One day, a desire welled up in my mind. - Bhagat Ramanand Ji
ਘਸਿ ਚੰਦਨ ਚੋਆ ਬਹੁ ਸੁਗੰਧ ॥ ghas chandan choaa bahu sugandh | I ground up sandalwood, along with several fragrant oils. - Bhagat Ramanand Ji
ਪੂਜਨ ਚਾਲੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਠਾਇ ॥ poojan chaalee braham tthaae | I went to God’s place, and worshipped Him there. - Bhagat Ramanand Ji
ਸੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਬਤਾਇਓ ਗੁਰ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਮਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ so braham bataaeo gur man hee maeh |1| That God showed me the Guru, within my own mind. ||1|| - Bhagat Ramanand Ji
ਜਹਾ ਜਾਈਐ ਤਹ ਜਲ ਪਖਾਨ ॥ jahaa jaaeeai teh jal pakhaan | Wherever I go, I find water and stones. - Bhagat Ramanand Ji
ਤੂ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਸਮਾਨ ॥ too poor rahio hai sabh samaan | You are totally pervading and permeating in all. - Bhagat Ramanand Ji
ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਸਭ ਦੇਖੇ ਜੋਇ ॥ bed puraan sabh dekhe joe | I have searched through all the Vedas and the Puraanas. - Bhagat Ramanand Ji
ਊਹਾਂ ਤਉ ਜਾਈਐ ਜਉ ਈਹਾਂ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥ aoohaan tau jaaeeai jau eehaan na hoe |2| I would go there, only if the Lord were not here. ||2|| - Bhagat Ramanand Ji

ਰਾਮਾਨੰਦ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਮਤ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ॥ raamaanand suaamee ramat braham | Raamaanand’s Lord and Master is the All-pervading Lord God. - Bhagat Ramanand Ji

ਚਿਰੰਕਾਲ ਨ ਜੀਵੈ ਦੋਊ ਕੁਲ ਲਜੈ ॥੧॥ chirankaal na jeevai doaoo kul lajai |1| he will not have a long life, and he brings shame to all his family. ||1|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji

ਤੈਸੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਛਾਡੈਂ ॥੨॥ taise sant janaan raam naam na chhaaddain |2| in the same way, the Saints do not forsake the Lord’s Name. ||2|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji
