ਰਾਜਨ ਕਉਨੁ ਤੁਮਾਰੈ ਆਵੈ ॥ raajan kaun tumaarai aavai | O king, who will come to you? - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਐਸੋ ਭਾਉ ਬਿਦਰ ਕੋ ਦੇਖਿਓ ਓਹੁ ਗਰੀਬੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਭਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ aiso bhaau bidar ko dekhio ohu gareeb mohi bhaavai |1| rahaau | I have seen such love from Bidur, that the poor man is pleasing to me. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹਸਤੀ ਦੇਖਿ ਭਰਮ ਤੇ ਭੂਲਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਵਾਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥ hasatee dekh bharam te bhoolaa sree bhagavaan na jaaniaa | Gazing upon your elephants, you have gone astray in doubt; you do not know the Great Lord God. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤੁਮਰੋ ਦੂਧੁ ਬਿਦਰ ਕੋ ਪਾਨੑੋ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਕਰਿ ਮੈ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥ tumaro doodh bidar ko paanao amrit kar mai maaniaa |1| I judge Bidur’s water to be like ambrosial nectar, in comparison with your milk. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਖੀਰ ਸਮਾਨਿ ਸਾਗੁ ਮੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਰੈਨਿ ਬਿਹਾਨੀ ॥ kheer samaan saag mai paaeaa gun gaavat rain bihaanee | I find his rough vegetables to be like rice pudding; the night of my life passes singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਬੀਰ ਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੀ ਮਾਨੀ ॥੨॥੯॥ kabeer ko tthaakur anad binodee jaat na kaahoo kee maanee |2|9| Kabeer’s Lord and Master is joyous and blissful; He does not care about anyone’s social class. ||2||9|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਖੇਤੁ ਜੁ ਮਾਂਡਿਓ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਅਬ ਜੂਝਨ ਕੋ ਦਾਉ ॥੧॥ khet ju maanddio sooramaa ab joojhan ko daau |1| The spiritual warriors enter the field of battle; now is the time to fight! ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੂਰਾ ਸੋ ਪਹਿਚਾਨੀਐ ਜੁ ਲਰੈ ਦੀਨ ਕੇ ਹੇਤ ॥ sooraa so pahichaaneeai ju larai deen ke het | He alone is known as a spiritual hero, who fights in defense of religion. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਪੁਰਜਾ ਪੁਰਜਾ ਕਟਿ ਮਰੈ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਛਾਡੈ ਖੇਤੁ ॥੨॥੨॥ purajaa purajaa katt marai kabahoo na chhaaddai khet |2|2| He may be cut apart, piece by piece, but he never leaves the field of battle. ||2||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਚਾਰਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਚਾਰੈ ਸਿਧਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਦੂਲਹ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਿਓ ॥ chaar mukat chaarai sidh mil kai doolah prabh kee saran pario | I have obtained the four kinds of liberation, and the four miraculous spiritual powers, in the Sanctuary of God, my Husband Lord. - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭਇਓ ਚਉਹੂੰ ਜੁਗ ਜਾਨਿਓ ਜਸੁ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਮਾਥੈ ਛਤ੍ਰੁ ਧਰਿਓ ॥੧॥ mukat bheo chauhoon jug jaanio jas keerat maathai chhatru dhario |1| I am liberated, and famous throughout the four ages; the canopy of praise and fame waves over my head. ||1|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji

ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਭਗਤੁ ਭਗਤੁ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਿਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ gur upades saadh kee sangat bhagat bhagat taa ko naam pario |1| rahaau | Whoever follows the Guru’s Teachings and joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, is called the most devoted of the devotees. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਸੰਖ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਮਾਲਾ ਤਿਲਕੁ ਬਿਰਾਜਿਤ ਦੇਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੁ ਜਮੁ ਡਰਿਓ ॥ sankh chakr maalaa tilak biraajit dekh prataap jam ddario | He is adorned with the conch, the chakra, the mala and the ceremonial tilak mark on his forehead; gazing upon his radiant glory, the Messenger of Death is scared away. - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਰਾਮ ਬਲ ਗਰਜਿਤ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਹਿਰਿਓ ॥੨॥ nirbhau bhe raam bal garajit janam maran santaap hirio |2| He becomes fearless, and the power of the Lord thunders through him; the pains of birth and death are taken away. ||2|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਅੰਬਰੀਕ ਕਉ ਦੀਓ ਅਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਰਾਜੁ ਭਭੀਖਨ ਅਧਿਕ ਕਰਿਓ ॥ anbareek kau deeo abhai pad raaj bhabheekhan adhik kario | The Lord blessed Ambreek with fearless dignity, and elevated Bhabhikhan to become king. - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਦਈ ਸੁਦਾਮੈ ਧ੍ਰੂਅ ਅਟਲੁ ਅਜਹੂ ਨ ਟਰਿਓ ॥੩॥ nau nidh tthaakur dee sudaamai dhraooa attal ajahoo na ttario |3| Sudama’s Lord and Master blessed him with the nine treasures; he made Dhroo permanent and unmoving; as the north star, he still hasn’t moved. ||3|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਭਗਤ ਹੇਤਿ ਮਾਰਿਓ ਹਰਨਾਖਸੁ ਨਰਸਿੰਘ ਰੂਪ ਹੋਇ ਦੇਹ ਧਰਿਓ ॥ bhagat het maario haranaakhas narasingh roop hoe deh dhario | For the sake of His devotee Prahlaad, God assumed the form of the man-lion, and killed Harnaakhash. - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਨਾਮਾ ਕਹੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਸਿ ਕੇਸਵ ਅਜਹੂੰ ਬਲਿ ਕੇ ਦੁਆਰ ਖਰੋ ॥੪॥੧॥ naamaa kahai bhagat bas kesav ajahoon bal ke duaar kharo |4|1| Says Naam Dayv, the beautiful-haired Lord is in the power of His devotees; He is standing at Balraja’s door, even now! ||4||1|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji

ਦੀਨੁ ਬਿਸਾਰਿਓ ਰੇ ਦਿਵਾਨੇ ਦੀਨੁ ਬਿਸਾਰਿਓ ਰੇ ॥ deen bisaario re divaane deen bisaario re | You have forgotten your religion, O madman; you have forgotten your religion. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਪੇਟੁ ਭਰਿਓ ਪਸੂਆ ਜਿਉ ਸੋਇਓ ਮਨੁਖੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਹੈ ਹਾਰਿਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ pett bhario pasooaa jiau soeo manukh janam hai haario |1| rahaau | You fill your belly, and sleep like an animal; you have wasted and lost this human life. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਨੀ ਰਚਿਓ ਧੰਧੈ ਝੂਠ ॥ saadhasangat kabahoo nahee keenee rachio dhandhai jhootth | You never joined the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. You are engrossed in false pursuits. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੁਆਨ ਸੂਕਰ ਬਾਇਸ ਜਿਵੈ ਭਟਕਤੁ ਚਾਲਿਓ ਊਠਿ ॥੧॥ suaan sookar baaeis jivai bhattakat chaalio aootth |1| You wander like a dog, a pig, a crow; soon, you shall have to get up and leave. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਆਪਸ ਕਉ ਦੀਰਘੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨੈ ਅਉਰਨ ਕਉ ਲਗ ਮਾਤ ॥ aapas kau deeragh kar jaanai aauran kau lag maat | You believe that you yourself are great, and that others are small. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਨਸਾ ਬਾਚਾ ਕਰਮਨਾ ਮੈ ਦੇਖੇ ਦੋਜਕ ਜਾਤ ॥੨॥ manasaa baachaa karamanaa mai dekhe dojak jaat |2| Those who are false in thought, word and deed, I have seen them going to hell. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਾਮੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੀ ਚਾਤੁਰੀ ਬਾਜੀਗਰ ਬੇਕਾਮ ॥ kaamee krodhee chaaturee baajeegar bekaam | The lustful, the angry, the clever, the deceitful and the lazy - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਤੇ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਿਰਾਨੋ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਸਿਮਰਿਓ ਰਾਮੁ ॥੩॥ nindaa karate janam siraano kabahoo na simario raam |3| waste their lives in slander, and never remember their Lord in meditation. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਚੇਤੈ ਨਹੀ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਮੁਗਧੁ ਗਵਾਰੁ ॥ keh kabeer chetai nahee moorakh mugadh gavaar | Says Kabeer, the fools, the idiots and the brutes do not remember the Lord. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
