ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਓ ਹਮ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਪਖੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ gur parasaadee har naam dhiaaeo ham satigur charan pakhe |1| rahaau | By Guru’s Grace, I meditate on the Name of the Lord; I wash the Feet of the True Guru. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਊਤਮ ਜਗੰਨਾਥ ਜਗਦੀਸੁਰ ਹਮ ਪਾਪੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਰਖੇ ॥ aootam jaganaath jagadeesur ham paapee saran rakhe | The Exalted Lord of the World, the Master of the Universe, keeps a sinner like me in His Sanctuary - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੁਮ ਵਡ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਦੀਓ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਖੇ ॥੧॥ tum vadd purakh deen dukh bhanjan har deeo naam mukhe |1| You are the Greatest Being, Lord, Destroyer of the pains of the meek; You have placed Your Name in my mouth, Lord. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਹਮ ਗਾਏ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਖੇ ॥ har gun aooch neech ham gaae gur satigur sang sakhe | I am lowly, but I sing the Lofty Praises of the Lord, meeting with the Guru, the True Guru, my Friend. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਉ ਚੰਦਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸੈ ਨਿੰਮੁ ਬਿਰਖਾ ਗੁਨ ਚੰਦਨ ਕੇ ਬਸਖੇ ॥੨॥ jiau chandan sang basai ninm birakhaa gun chandan ke basakhe |2| Like the bitter nimm tree, growing near the sandalwood tree, I am permeated with the fragrance of sandalwood. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਮਰੇ ਅਵਗਨ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਖੈ ਕੇ ਬਹੁ ਬਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਨਿਮਖੇ ॥ hamare avagan bikhiaa bikhai ke bahu baar baar nimakhe | My faults and sins of corruption are countless; over and over again, I commit them. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅਵਗਨਿਆਰੇ ਪਾਥਰ ਭਾਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਤਾਰੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਜਨਖੇ ॥੩॥ avaganiaare paathar bhaare har taare sang janakhe |3| I am unworthy, I am a heavy stone sinking down; but the Lord has carried me across, in association with His humble servants. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਭ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਕ੍ਰਿਖੇ ॥ jin kau tum har raakhahu suaamee sabh tin ke paap krikhe | Those whom You save, Lord - all their sins are destroyed. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਦਇਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਮ ਦੁਸਟ ਤਾਰੇ ਹਰਣਖੇ ॥੪॥੩॥ jan naanak ke deaal prabh suaamee tum dusatt taare haranakhe |4|3| O Merciful God, Lord and Master of servant Nanak, You have carried across even evil villains like Harnaakhash. ||4||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗੇ ॥ mere man jap har har raam range | O my mind, chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, with love. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੀ ਜਗਦੀਸੁਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਓ ਜਨ ਪਗਿ ਲਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ har har kripaa karee jagadeesur har dhiaaeo jan pag lage |1| rahaau | When the Lord of the Universe, Har, Har, granted His Grace, then I fell at the feet of the humble, and I meditate on the Lord. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਭੂਲ ਚੂਕ ਹਮ ਅਬ ਆਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਨਗੇ ॥ janam janam ke bhool chook ham ab aae prabh saranage | Mistaken and confused for so many past lives, I have now come and entered the Sanctuary of God. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੁਮ ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਮ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਵਡ ਪਾਪਗੇ ॥੧॥ tum saranaagat pratipaalak suaamee ham raakhahu vadd paapage |1| O my Lord and Master, You are the Cherisher of those who come to Your Sanctuary. I am such a great sinner - please save me! ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੁਮਰੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਕੋ ਨ ਉਧਰਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਏ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵਗੇ ॥ tumaree sangat har ko ko na udhario prabh kee patit pavage | Associating with You, Lord, who would not be saved? Only God sanctifies the sinners. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਛੀਪਾ ਦੁਸਟਾਰਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਪੈਜ ਜਨਗੇ ॥੨॥ gun gaavat chheepaa dusattaario prabh raakhee paij janage |2| Naam Dayv, the calico printer, was driven out by the evil villains, as he sang Your Glorious Praises; O God, You protected the honor of Your humble servant. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੋ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਤਿਨਗੇ ॥ jo tumare gun gaaveh suaamee hau bal bal bal tinage | Those who sing Your Glorious Praises, O my Lord and Master - I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice to them. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਭਵਨ ਭਵਨ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਿ ਕੀਏ ਜਹ ਧੂਰਿ ਪਰੀ ਜਨ ਪਗੇ ॥੩॥ bhavan bhavan pavitr sabh kee jeh dhoor paree jan page |3| Those houses and homes are sanctified, upon which the dust of the feet of the humble settles. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੁਮਰੇ ਗੁਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਹਿ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਵਡ ਵਡ ਪੁਰਖ ਵਡਗੇ ॥ tumare gun prabh keh na sakeh ham tum vadd vadd purakh vaddage | I cannot describe Your Glorious Virtues, God; You are the greatest of the great, O Great Primal Lord God. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਦਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਾਰਹੁ ਹਮ ਸੇਵਹ ਤੁਮ ਜਨ ਪਗੇ ॥੪॥੪॥ jan naanak kau deaa prabh dhaarahu ham sevah tum jan page |4|4| Please shower Your Mercy upon servant Nanak, God; I serve at the feet of Yor humble servants. ||4||4|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਜਗੰਨਾਥਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੀ ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮ ਬਨੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jaganaath kirapaa prabh dhaaree mat guramat naam bane |1| rahaau | God, the Master of the Universe, has showered His Mercy upon me, and through the Guru’s Teachings, my intellect has been molded by the Naam. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਇਓ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸੁਨੇ ॥ har jan har jas har har gaaeo upades guroo gur sune | The Lord’s humble servant sings the Praises of the Lord, Har, Har, listening to the Guru’s Teachings. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਪਾਪ ਨਾਮ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਟੇ ਜਿਵ ਖੇਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਾਨਿ ਲੁਨੇ ॥੧॥ kilabikh paap naam har kaatte jiv khet krisaan lune |1| The Lord’s Name cuts down all sins, like the farmer cutting down his crops. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੁਮਰੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਹਮ ਕਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨੇ ॥ tumaree upamaa tum hee prabh jaanahu ham keh na sakeh har gune | You alone know Your Praises, God; I cannot even describe Your Glorious Virtues, Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੈਸੇ ਤੁਮ ਤੈਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਗੁਨ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪੁਨੇ ॥੨॥ jaise tum taise prabh tum hee gun jaanahu prabh apune |2| You are what You are, God; You alone know Your Glorious Virtues, God. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮਾਇਆ ਫਾਸ ਬੰਧ ਬਹੁ ਬੰਧੇ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਖੁਲ ਖੁਲਨੇ ॥ maaeaa faas bandh bahu bandhe har japio khul khulane | The mortals are bound by the many bonds of Maya’s noose. Meditating on the Lord, the knot is untied, - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਕੁੰਚਰੁ ਤਦੂਐ ਬਾਂਧਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਿਓ ਮੋਖ ਮੁਖਨੇ ॥੩॥ jiau jal kunchar tadooai baandhio har chetio mokh mukhane |3| like the elephant, which was caught in the water by the crococile; it remembered the Lord, and chanted the Lord’s Name, and was released. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਤੁਮ ਖੋਜਹੁ ਜੁਗ ਜੁਗਨੇ ॥ suaamee paarabraham paramesar tum khojahu jug jugane | O my Lord and Master, Supreme Lord God, Transcendent Lord, throughout the ages, mortals search for You. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੁਮਰੀ ਥਾਹ ਪਾਈ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵੈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਵਡਨੇ ॥੪॥੫॥ tumaree thaah paaee nahee paavai jan naanak ke prabh vaddane |4|5| Your extent cannot be estimated or known, O Great God of servant Nanak. ||4||5|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
