ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਹਮ ਐਸੇ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ॥ gobind ham aise aparaadhee | O Lord of the Universe, I am such a sinner! - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਥਾ ਦੀਆ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਭਾਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਸਾਧੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jin prabh jeeo pindd thaa deea tis kee bhaau bhagat nahee saadhee |1| rahaau | God gave me body and soul, but I have not practiced loving devotional worship to Him. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਪਰ ਧਨ ਪਰ ਤਨ ਪਰ ਤੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਪਰ ਅਪਬਾਦੁ ਨ ਛੂਟੈ ॥ par dhan par tan par tee nindaa par apabaad na chhoottai | Others’ wealth, others’ bodies, others’ wives, others’ slander and others’ fights - I have not given them up. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਆਵਾ ਗਵਨੁ ਹੋਤੁ ਹੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਫੁਨਿ ਇਹੁ ਪਰਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਤੂਟੈ ॥੨॥ aavaa gavan hot hai fun fun ihu parasang na toottai |2| For the sake of these, coming and going in reincarnation happens over and over again, and this story never ends. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਹ ਘਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਹੋਤ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਇਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਕੀਨੑੋ ਮੈ ਫੇਰਾ ॥ jih ghar kathaa hot har santan ik nimakh na keenao mai feraa | That house, in which the Saints speak of the Lord - I have not visited it, even for an instant. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਲੰਪਟ ਚੋਰ ਦੂਤ ਮਤਵਾਰੇ ਤਿਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਦਾ ਬਸੇਰਾ ॥੩॥ lanpatt chor doot matavaare tin sang sadaa baseraa |3| Drunkards, thieves, and evil-doers - I constantly dwell with them. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਦ ਮਤਸਰ ਏ ਸੰਪੈ ਮੋ ਮਾਹੀ ॥ kaam krodh maaeaa mad matasar e sanpai mo maahee | Sexual desire, anger, the wine of Maya, and envy - these are what I collect within myself. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਦਇਆ ਧਰਮੁ ਅਰੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਏ ਸੁਪਨੰਤਰਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੪॥ deaa dharam ar gur kee sevaa e supanantar naahee |4| Compassion, righteousness, and service to the Guru - these do not visit me, even in my dreams. ||4|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਮੋਦਰ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਛਲ ਭੈ ਹਾਰੀ ॥ deen deaal kripaal damodar bhagat bachhal bhai haaree | He is merciful to the meek, compassionate and benevolent, the Lover of His devotees, the Destroyer of fear. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਭੀਰ ਜਨ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਉ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੀ ॥੫॥੮॥ kehat kabeer bheer jan raakhahu har sevaa krau tumaaree |5|8| Says Kabeer, please protect Your humble servant from disaster; O Lord, I serve only You. ||5||8|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਹ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਹੋਇ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥ jih simaran hoe mukat duaar | Remembering Him in meditation, the door of liberation is found. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਾਹਿ ਬੈਕੁੰਠਿ ਨਹੀ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ॥ jaeh baikuntth nahee sansaar | You shall go to heaven, and not return to this earth. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਬਜਾਵਹਿ ਤੂਰ ॥ nirbhau kai ghar bajaaveh toor | In the home of the Fearless Lord, the celestial trumpets resound. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਨਹਦ ਬਜਹਿ ਸਦਾ ਭਰਪੂਰ ॥੧॥ anahad bajeh sadaa bharapoor |1| The unstruck sound current will vibrate and resonate forever. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਐਸਾ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ aisaa simaran kar man maeh | Practice such meditative remembrance in your mind. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਤ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ bin simaran mukat kat naeh |1| rahaau | Without this meditative remembrance, liberation will never be found. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਹ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਨਨਕਾਰੁ ॥ jih simaran naahee nanakaar | Remembering Him in meditation, you will meet with no obstruction. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਰੈ ਉਤਰੈ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਰੁ ॥ mukat karai utarai bahu bhaar | You will be liberated, and the great load will be taken away. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਨਮਸਕਾਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ namasakaar kar hiradai maeh | Bow in humility within your heart, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਵਨੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥ fir fir teraa aavan naeh |2| and you will not have to be reincarnated over and over again. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਹ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਤੂ ਕੇਲ ॥ jih simaran kareh too kel | Remember Him in meditation, celebrate and be happy. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਦੀਪਕੁ ਬਾਂਧਿ ਧਰਿਓ ਬਿਨੁ ਤੇਲ ॥ deepak baandh dhario bin tel | God has placed His lamp deep within you, which burns without any oil. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਅਮਰਕੁ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ॥ so deepak amarak sansaar | That lamp makes the world immortal; - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਬਿਖੁ ਕਾਢੀਲੇ ਮਾਰਿ ॥੩॥ kaam krodh bikh kaadteele maar |3| it conquers and drives out the poisons of sexual desire and anger. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਹ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥ jih simaran teree gat hoe | Remembering Him in meditation, you shall obtain salvation. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਰਖੁ ਕੰਠਿ ਪਰੋਇ ॥ so simaran rakh kantth paroe | Wear that meditative remembrance as your necklace. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਨਹੀ ਰਾਖੁ ਉਤਾਰਿ ॥ so simaran kar nahee raakh utaar | Practice that meditative remembrance, and never let it go. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਉਤਰਹਿ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੪॥ gur parasaadee utareh paar |4| By Guru’s Grace, you shall cross over. ||4|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਹ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੁਹਿ ਕਾਨਿ ॥ jih simaran naahee tuhi kaan | Remembering Him in meditation, you shall not be obligated to others. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮੰਦਰਿ ਸੋਵਹਿ ਪਟੰਬਰ ਤਾਨਿ ॥ mandar soveh pattanbar taan | You shall sleep in your mansion, in blankets of silk. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਖਾਲੀ ਬਿਗਸੈ ਜੀਉ ॥ sej sukhaalee bigasai jeeo | Your soul shall blossom forth in happiness, on this comfortable bed. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਤੂ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਪੀਉ ॥੫॥ so simaran too anadin peeo |5| So drink in this meditative remembrance, night and day. ||5|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਹ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਾਇ ਬਲਾਇ ॥ jih simaran teree jaae balaae | Remembering Him in meditation, your troubles will depart. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਹ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਤੁਝੁ ਪੋਹੈ ਨ ਮਾਇ ॥ jih simaran tujh pohai na maae | Remembering Him in meditation, Maya will not bother you. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਗਾਈਐ ॥ simar simar har har man gaaeeai | Meditate, meditate in remembrance on the Lord, Har, Har, and sing His Praises in your mind. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਹੁ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੬॥ eihu simaran satigur te paaeeai |6| This meditative remembrance is obtained from the True Guru. ||6|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ॥ sadaa sadaa simar din raat | Forever and ever, remember Him, day and night, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ॥ aootthat baitthat saas giraas | while standing up and sitting down, with every breath and morsel of food. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਾਗੁ ਸੋਇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਰਸ ਭੋਗ ॥ jaag soe simaran ras bhog | While awake and asleep, enjoy the essence of this meditative remembrance. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਸੰਜੋਗ ॥੭॥ har simaran paaeeai sanjog |7| The Lord’s meditative remembrance is obtained by good destiny. ||7|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਹ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੁਝੁ ਭਾਰ ॥ jih simaran naahee tujh bhaar | Remembering Him in meditation, you shall not be loaded down. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥ so simaran raam naam adhaar | Make this meditative remembrance of the Lord’s Name your Support. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਨਹੀ ਅੰਤੁ ॥ keh kabeer jaa kaa nahee ant | Says Kabeer, He has no limits; - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਆਗੇ ਤੰਤੁ ਨ ਮੰਤੁ ॥੮॥੯॥ tis ke aage tant na mant |8|9| no tantras or mantras can be used against Him. ||8||9|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
