ਪਾਂਡੇ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਰਾਮਚੰਦੁ ਸੋ ਭੀ ਆਵਤੁ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਥਾ ॥ paandde tumaraa raamachand so bhee aavat dekhiaa thaa | O Pandit, I saw your Raam Chand coming too - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਰਾਵਨ ਸੇਤੀ ਸਰਬਰ ਹੋਈ ਘਰ ਕੀ ਜੋਇ ਗਵਾਈ ਥੀ ॥੩॥ raavan setee sarabar hoee ghar kee joe gavaaee thee |3| ; he lost his wife, fighting a war against Raawan. ||3|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਹਿੰਦੂ ਅੰਨੑਾ ਤੁਰਕੂ ਕਾਣਾ ॥ hindoo anaa turakoo kaanaa | The Hindu is sightless; the Muslim has only one eye. - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਦੁਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਿਆਣਾ ॥ duhaan te giaanee siaanaa | The spiritual teacher is wiser than both of them. - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਹਿੰਦੂ ਪੂਜੈ ਦੇਹੁਰਾ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਣੁ ਮਸੀਤਿ ॥ hindoo poojai dehuraa musalamaan maseet | The Hindu worships at the temple, the Muslim at the mosque. - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਨਾਮੇ ਸੋਈ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਜਹ ਦੇਹੁਰਾ ਨ ਮਸੀਤਿ ॥੪॥੩॥੭॥ naame soee seviaa jeh dehuraa na maseet |4|3|7| Naam Dayv serves that Lord, who is not limited to either the temple or the mosque. ||4||3||7|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji

ਮੁਕੰਦ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਜਪਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥ mukand mukand japahu sansaar | Meditate on the Lord Mukanday, the Liberator, O people of the world. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਬਿਨੁ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਤਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਅਉਹਾਰ ॥ bin mukand tan hoe aauhaar | Without Mukanday, the body shall be reduced to ashes. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਸੋਈ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ॥ soee mukand mukat kaa daataa | Mukanday is the Giver of liberation. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਸੋਈ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਹਮਰਾ ਪਿਤ ਮਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ soee mukand hamaraa pit maataa |1| Mukanday is my father and mother. ||1|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਜੀਵਤ ਮੁਕੰਦੇ ਮਰਤ ਮੁਕੰਦੇ ॥ jeevat mukande marat mukande | Meditate on Mukanday in life, and meditate on Mukanday in death. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ taa ke sevak kau sadaa anande |1| rahaau | His servant is blissful forever. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਮੁਕੰਦ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੰ ॥ mukand mukand hamaare praanan | The Lord, Mukanday, is my breath of life. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਜਪਿ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਨੀਸਾਨੰ ॥ jap mukand masatak neesaanan | Meditating on Mukanday, one’s forehead will bear the Lord’s insignia of approval. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਸੇਵ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਕਰੈ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥ sev mukand karai bairaagee | The renunciate serves Mukanday. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਸੋਈ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਦੁਰਬਲ ਧਨੁ ਲਾਧੀ ॥੨॥ soee mukand durabal dhan laadhee |2| Mukanday is the wealth of the poor and forlorn. ||2|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਏਕੁ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਕਰੈ ਉਪਕਾਰੁ ॥ ek mukand karai upakaar | When the One Liberator does me a favor, - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਹਮਰਾ ਕਹਾ ਕਰੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥ hamaraa kahaa karai sansaar | then what can the world do to me? - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਮੇਟੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਹੂਏ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥ mettee jaat hooe darabaar | Erasing my social status, I have entered His Court. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਤੁਹੀ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗ ਤਾਰਿ ॥੩॥ tuhee mukand jog jug taar |3| You, Mukanday, are potent throughout the four ages. ||3|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਉਪਜਿਓ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਹੂਆ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥ aupajio giaan hooaa paragaas | Spiritual wisdom has welled up, and I have been enlightened. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੀਨੇ ਕੀਟ ਦਾਸ ॥ kar kirapaa leene keett daas | In His Mercy, the Lord has made this worm His slave. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਕਹੁ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਅਬ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਚੂਕੀ ॥ kahu ravidaas ab trisanaa chookee | Says Ravi Daas, now my thirst is quenched; - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਜਪਿ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਸੇਵਾ ਤਾਹੂ ਕੀ ॥੪॥੧॥ jap mukand sevaa taahoo kee |4|1| I meditate on Mukanday the Liberator, and I serve Him. ||4||1|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji

ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਅਠਸਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਨੑਾਵੈ ॥ je ohu atthasatth teerath naavai | Someone may bathe at the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage, - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਦੁਆਦਸ ਸਿਲਾ ਪੂਜਾਵੈ ॥ je ohu duaadas silaa poojaavai | and worship the twelve Shiva-lingam stones, - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਕੂਪ ਤਟਾ ਦੇਵਾਵੈ ॥ je ohu koop tattaa devaavai | and dig wells and pools, - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਕਰੈ ਨਿੰਦ ਸਭ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ karai nind sabh birathaa jaavai |1| but if he indulges in slander, then all of this is useless. ||1|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕਾ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਕੈਸੇ ਤਰੈ ॥ saadh kaa nindak kaise tarai | How can the slanderer of the Holy Saints be saved? - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਸਰਪਰ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਨਰਕ ਹੀ ਪਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ sarapar jaanahu narak hee parai |1| rahaau | Know for certain, that he shall go to hell. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਗ੍ਰਹਨ ਕਰੈ ਕੁਲਖੇਤਿ ॥ je ohu grahan karai kulakhet | Someone may bathe at Kuruk-shaytra during a solar eclipse, - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਅਰਪੈ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਸਮੇਤਿ ॥ arapai naar seegaar samet | and give his decorated wife in offering, - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਸਗਲੀ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸ੍ਰਵਨੀ ਸੁਨੈ ॥ sagalee sinmrit sravanee sunai | and listen to all the Simritees, - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਕਰੈ ਨਿੰਦ ਕਵਨੈ ਨਹੀ ਗੁਨੈ ॥੨॥ karai nind kavanai nahee gunai |2| but if he indulges in slander, these are of no account. ||2|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ ਕਰਾਵੈ ॥ je ohu anik prasaad karaavai | Someone may give countless feasts, - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਭੂਮਿ ਦਾਨ ਸੋਭਾ ਮੰਡਪਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥ bhoom daan sobhaa manddap paavai | and donate land, and build splendid buildings; - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਗਾਰਿ ਬਿਰਾਂਨਾ ਸਾਂਢੈ ॥ apanaa bigaar biraanaa saandtai | he may neglect his own affairs to work for others, - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਕਰੈ ਨਿੰਦ ਬਹੁ ਜੋਨੀ ਹਾਂਢੈ ॥੩॥ karai nind bahu jonee haandtai |3| but if he indulges in slander, he shall wander in countless incarnations. ||3|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਹਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥ nindaa kahaa karahu sansaaraa | Why do you indulge in slander, O people of the world? - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਪਰਗਟਿ ਪਾਹਾਰਾ ॥ nindak kaa paragatt paahaaraa | The emptiness of the slanderer is soon exposed. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਸੋਧਿ ਸਾਧਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥ nindak sodh saadh beechaariaa | I have thought, and determined the fate of the slanderer. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
