ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੋ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇ ਨਿਤ ਕਰ ਜੁਰਨਾ ॥ jis te sukh paaveh man mere so sadaa dhiaae nit kar juranaa | He shall give you peace, O my mind; meditate forever, every day on Him, with your palms pressed together. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਇਕੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਨਿਤ ਬਸਹਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਹਰੀ ਮੋਹਿ ਚਰਨਾ ॥੪॥੩॥ jan naanak kau har daan ik deejai nit baseh ridai haree mohi charanaa |4|3| Please bless servant Nanak with this one gift, O Lord, that Your feet may dwell within my heart forever. ||4||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਾਹ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹ ਉਮਰਾਵ ਸਿਕਦਾਰ ਚਉਧਰੀ ਸਭਿ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਝੂਠੁ ਭਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ਜਾਣੁ ॥ jitane saah paatisaah umaraav sikadaar chaudharee sabh mithiaa jhootth bhaau doojaa jaan | All the kings, emperors, nobles, lords and chiefs are false and transitory, engrossed in duality - know this well. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਭਜੁ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ har abinaasee sadaa thir nihachal tis mere man bhaj paravaan |1| The eternal Lord is permanent and unchanging; meditate on Him, O my mind, and you shall be approved. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰੀ ਭਜੁ ਸਦਾ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ॥ mere man naam haree bhaj sadaa deebaan | O my mind, vibrate, and meditate on the Lord’s Name, which shall be your defender forever. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਸੈ ਦਾ ਤਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jo har mehal paavai gur bachanee tis jevadd avar naahee kisai daa taan |1| rahaau | One who obtains the Mansion of the Lord’s Presence, through the Word of the Guru’s Teachings - no one else’s power is as great as his. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਤਨੇ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਮਿਲਖਵੰਤ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਜਿਉ ਰੰਗੁ ਕਸੁੰਭ ਕਚਾਣੁ ॥ jitane dhanavant kulavant milakhavant deeseh man mere sabh binas jaeh jiau rang kasunbh kachaan | All the wealthy, high class property owners which you see, O my mind, shall vanish, like the fading color of the safflower. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੇਵਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਤੂ ਮਾਣੁ ॥੨॥ har sat niranjan sadaa sev man mere jit har daragah paaveh too maan |2| Serve the True, Immaculate Lord forever, O my mind, and you shall be honored in the Court of the Lord. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣੁ ਖਤ੍ਰੀ ਸੂਦ ਵੈਸ ਚਾਰਿ ਵਰਨ ਚਾਰਿ ਆਸ੍ਰਮ ਹਹਿ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਸੋ ਪਰਧਾਨੁ ॥ braahaman khatree sood vais chaar varan chaar aasram heh jo har dhiaavai so paradhaan | There are four castes: Brahmin, Kh’shaatriya, Soodra and Vaishya, and there are four stages of life. One who meditates on the Lord, is the most distinguished and renowned. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਉ ਚੰਦਨ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਵਸੈ ਹਿਰਡੁ ਬਪੁੜਾ ਤਿਉ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥੩॥ jiau chandan nikatt vasai hiradd bapurraa tiau satasangat mil patit paravaan |3| The poor castor oil plant, growing near the sandalwood tree, becomes fragrant; in the same way, the sinner, associating with the Saints, becomes acceptable and approved. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਓਹੁ ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਸਭ ਤੇ ਸੂਚਾ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਵਸਿਆ ਭਗਵਾਨੁ ॥ ohu sabh te aoochaa sabh te soochaa jaa kai hiradai vasiaa bhagavaan | He, within whose heart the Lord abides, is the highest of all, and the purest of all. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਪਖਾਲੈ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਨੀਚੁ ਜਾਤਿ ਸੇਵਕਾਣੁ ॥੪॥੪॥ jan naanak tis ke charan pakhaalai jo har jan neech jaat sevakaan |4|4| Servant Nanak washes the feet of that humble servant of the Lord; he may be from a low class family, but he is now the Lord’s servant. ||4||4|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਸਭਤੈ ਵਰਤੈ ਜੇਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਾਏ ਤੇਹਾ ਕੋ ਕਰਈਐ ॥ har antarajaamee sabhatai varatai jehaa har karaae tehaa ko kareeai | The Lord, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, is all-pervading. As the Lord causes them to act, so do they act. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੋ ਐਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੋ ਤੁਧਨੋ ਸਭ ਦੂ ਰਖਿ ਲਈਐ ॥੧॥ so aisaa har sev sadaa man mere jo tudhano sabh doo rakh leeai |1| So serve forever such a Lord, O my mind, who will protect you from everything. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਤ ਪੜਈਐ ॥ mere man har jap har nit parreeai | O my mind, meditate on the Lord, and read about the Lord every day. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਿ ਜੀਵਾਲਿ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਕਾਇਤੁ ਕੜਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ har bin ko maar jeevaal na saakai taa mere man kaaeit karreeai |1| rahaau | Other than the Lord, no one can kill you or save you; so why do you worry, O my mind? ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਪਰਪੰਚੁ ਕੀਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਰਤੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਧਰਈਐ ॥ har parapanch keea sabh karatai vich aape aapanee jot dhareeai | The Creator created the entire universe, and infused His Light into it. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਬੋਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਬੁਲਾਏ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਦਿਖਈਐ ॥੨॥ har eko bolai har ek bulaae gur poorai har ek dikheeai |2| The One Lord speaks, and the One Lord causes all to speak.The Perfect Guru has revealed the One Lord. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਾਲੇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਨਾਲੇ ਕਹੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਪਾਸਹੁ ਮਨ ਕਿਆ ਚੋਰਈਐ ॥ har antar naale baahar naale kahu tis paasahu man kiaa choreeai | The Lord is with you, inside and out; tell me, O mind, how can You hide anything from Him? - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਿਹਕਪਟ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਜੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੇਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਈਐ ॥੩॥ nihakapatt sevaa keejai har keree taan mere man sarab sukh peeai |3| Serve the Lord open-heartedly, and then, O my mind, you shall find total peace. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਸ ਦੈ ਵਸਿ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਸੋ ਸਭ ਦੂ ਵਡਾ ਸੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਅਈਐ ॥ jis dai vas sabh kichh so sabh doo vaddaa so mere man sadaa dhiaeeai | Everything is under His control; He is the greatest of all. O my mind, meditate forever on Him. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਲਿ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇ ਤੂ ਤੁਧੁ ਲਏ ਛਡਈਐ ॥੪॥੫॥ jan naanak so har naal hai terai har sadaa dhiaae too tudh le chhaddeeai |4|5| O Servant Nanak, that Lord is always with you. Meditate forever on your Lord, and He shall emancipate you. ||4||5|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਬਹੁ ਤਪਤੈ ਜਿਉ ਤ੍ਰਿਖਾਵੰਤੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਨੀਰ ॥੧॥ har darasan kau meraa man bahu tapatai jiau trikhaavant bin neer |1| My mind yearns so deeply for the Blessed Vision of the Lord’s Darshan, like the thirsty man without water. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਲਗੋ ਹਰਿ ਤੀਰ ॥ merai man prem lago har teer | My mind is pierced through by the arrow of the Lord’s Love. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਮਰੀ ਬੇਦਨ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਨੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰ ਕੀ ਪੀਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ hamaree bedan har prabh jaanai mere man antar kee peer |1| rahaau | The Lord God knows my anguish, and the pain deep within my mind. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਕੀ ਕੋਈ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਭਾਈ ਸੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੀਰ ॥੨॥ mere har preetam kee koee baat sunaavai so bhaaee so meraa beer |2| Whoever tells me the Stories of my Beloved Lord is my Sibling of Destiny, and my friend. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
