ਦਾਰਿਦੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਭ ਕੋ ਹਸੈ ਐਸੀ ਦਸਾ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥ daarid dekh sabh ko hasai aisee dasaa hamaaree | Seeing my poverty, everyone laughed. Such was my condition. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਅਸਟ ਦਸਾ ਸਿਧਿ ਕਰ ਤਲੈ ਸਭ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ asatt dasaa sidh kar talai sabh kripaa tumaaree |1| Now, I hold the eighteen miraculous spiritual powers in the palm of my hand; everything is by Your Grace. ||1|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji

ਬਰਨ ਅਬਰਨ ਰੰਕੁ ਨਹੀ ਈਸੁਰੁ ਬਿਮਲ ਬਾਸੁ ਜਾਨੀਐ ਜਗਿ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ baran abaran rank nahee eesur bimal baas jaaneeai jag soe |1| rahaau | whether of high or low social class, whether rich or poor, shall have its pure fragrance spread all over the world. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਨ ਬੈਸ ਸੂਦ ਅਰੁ ਖੵਤ੍ਰੀ ਡੋਮ ਚੰਡਾਰ ਮਲੇਛ ਮਨ ਸੋਇ ॥ brahaman bais sood ar khayatree ddom chanddaar malechh man soe | Whether he is a Brahmin, a Vaishya, a Soodra, or a Kh’shaatriya; whether he is a poet, an outcaste, or a filthy-minded person, - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਹੋਇ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਭਜਨ ਤੇ ਆਪੁ ਤਾਰਿ ਤਾਰੇ ਕੁਲ ਦੋਇ ॥੧॥ hoe puneet bhagavant bhajan te aap taar taare kul doe |1| he becomes pure, by meditating on the Lord God. He saves himself, and the families of both his parents. ||1|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਧੰਨਿ ਸੁ ਗਾਉ ਧੰਨਿ ਸੋ ਠਾਉ ਧੰਨਿ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਸਭ ਲੋਇ ॥ dhan su gaau dhan so tthaau dhan puneet kuttanb sabh loe | Blessed is that village, and blessed is the place of his birth; blessed is his pure family, throughout all the worlds. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਜਿਨਿ ਪੀਆ ਸਾਰ ਰਸੁ ਤਜੇ ਆਨ ਰਸ ਹੋਇ ਰਸ ਮਗਨ ਡਾਰੇ ਬਿਖੁ ਖੋਇ ॥੨॥ jin peea saar ras taje aan ras hoe ras magan ddaare bikh khoe |2| One who drinks in the sublime essence abandons other tastes; intoxicated with this divine essence, he discards sin and corruption. ||2|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਸੂਰ ਛਤ੍ਰਪਤਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਭਗਤ ਬਰਾਬਰਿ ਅਉਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ panddit soor chhatrapat raajaa bhagat baraabar aaur na koe | Among the religious scholars, warriors and kings, there is no other equal to the Lord’s devotee. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਜੈਸੇ ਪੁਰੈਨ ਪਾਤ ਰਹੈ ਜਲ ਸਮੀਪ ਭਨਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜਨਮੇ ਜਗਿ ਓਇ ॥੩॥੨॥ jaise purain paat rahai jal sameep bhan ravidaas janame jag oe |3|2| As the leaves of the water lily float free in the water, says Ravi Daas, so is their life in the world. ||3||2|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji

ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੰਨਿਆ ਕੇ ਕਾਰਨੈ ਇਕੁ ਭਇਆ ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ ॥ nrip kaniaa ke kaaranai ik bheaa bhekhadhaaree | For a king’s daughter, a man disguised himself as Vishnu. - Bhagat Sadhna Ji
ਕਾਮਾਰਥੀ ਸੁਆਰਥੀ ਵਾ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ kaamaarathee suaarathee vaa kee paij savaaree |1| He did it for sexual exploitation, and for selfish motives, but the Lord protected his honor. ||1|| - Bhagat Sadhna Ji
ਤਵ ਗੁਨ ਕਹਾ ਜਗਤ ਗੁਰਾ ਜਉ ਕਰਮੁ ਨ ਨਾਸੈ ॥ tav gun kahaa jagat guraa jau karam na naasai | What is Your value, O Guru of the world, if You will not erase the karma of my past actions? - Bhagat Sadhna Ji
ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਨ ਕਤ ਜਾਈਐ ਜਉ ਜੰਬੁਕੁ ਗ੍ਰਾਸੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ singh saran kat jaaeeai jau janbuk graasai |1| rahaau | Why seek safety from a lion, if one is to be eaten by a jackal? ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Sadhna Ji
ਏਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਜਲ ਕਾਰਨੇ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥ ek boond jal kaarane chaatrik dukh paavai | For the sake of a single rain-drop, the rainbird suffers in pain. - Bhagat Sadhna Ji
ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਗਏ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥ praan ge saagar milai fun kaam na aavai |2| When its breath of life is gone, even an ocean is of no use to it. ||2|| - Bhagat Sadhna Ji

ਬੂਡਿ ਮੂਏ ਨਉਕਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਕਹੁ ਕਾਹਿ ਚਢਾਵਉ ॥੩॥ boodd mooe naukaa milai kahu kaeh chadtaavau |3| If I drown and die, and then a boat comes along, tell me, how shall I climb aboard? ||3|| - Bhagat Sadhna Ji
