ਜਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੋਬਨੁ ਗਇਆ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਆ ਨ ਨੀਕਾ ॥ jaraa jeevan joban geaa kichh keea na neekaa | Youth and old age - my entire life has passed, but I haven’t done any good. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਹੁ ਜੀਅਰਾ ਨਿਰਮੋਲਕੋ ਕਉਡੀ ਲਗਿ ਮੀਕਾ ॥੩॥ eihu jeearaa niramolako kauddee lag meekaa |3| This priceless soul has been treated as if if were worth no more than a shell. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਤਾਨਾ ਬਾਨਾ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਲਪਟਿਓ ॥੧॥ taanaa baanaa kachhoo na soojhai har har ras lapattio |1| He does not think at all of worldly weaving; he is absorbed in the subtle essence of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਸੁਨਹੁ ਜਿਠਾਨੀ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਦਿਰਾਨੀ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਏਕੁ ਭਇਓ ॥ sunahu jitthaanee sunahu diraanee acharaj ek bheo | Listen, O my sisters-in-law, a wondrous thing has happened! - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਾਤ ਸੂਤ ਇਨਿ ਮੁਡੀਂਏ ਖੋਏ ਇਹੁ ਮੁਡੀਆ ਕਿਉ ਨ ਮੁਇਓ ॥੨॥ saat soot in muddeene khoe ihu muddeea kiau na mueo |2| This boy has ruined our weaving business. Why didn’t he simply die? ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਕਾ ਏਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਇਓ ॥ sarab sukhaa kaa ek har suaamee so gur naam deo | O mother, the One Lord, the Lord and Master, is the source of all peace. The Guru has blessed me with His Name. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਹਰਨਾਖਸੁ ਨਖ ਬਿਦਰਿਓ ॥੩॥ sant prahalaad kee paij jin raakhee haranaakhas nakh bidario |3| He preserved the honor of Prahlaad, and destroyed Harnaakhash with his nails. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਘਰ ਕੇ ਦੇਵ ਪਿਤਰ ਕੀ ਛੋਡੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੋ ਸਬਦੁ ਲਇਓ ॥ ghar ke dev pitar kee chhoddee gur ko sabad leo | I have renounced the gods and ancestors of my house, for the Word of the Guru’s Shabad. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਪਾਪ ਖੰਡਨੁ ਸੰਤਹ ਲੈ ਉਧਰਿਓ ॥੪॥੪॥ kehat kabeer sagal paap khanddan santah lai udhario |4|4| Says Kabeer, God is the Destroyer of all sins; He is the Saving Grace of His Saints. ||4||4|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਏ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਸਭ ਦਿਵਸ ਚਾਰਿ ਕੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਕਰਤ ਦਿਵਾਜਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ e bhoopat sabh divas chaar ke jhootthe karat divaajaa |1| rahaau | All these lords of the world last for only a few days, putting on their false displays. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤੇਰੋ ਜਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਸੋਇ ਕਤ ਡੋਲੈ ਤੀਨਿ ਭਵਨ ਪਰ ਛਾਜਾ ॥ tero jan hoe soe kat ddolai teen bhavan par chhaajaa | How can Your humble servant waver? You spread Your shadow over the three worlds. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹਾਥੁ ਪਸਾਰਿ ਸਕੈ ਕੋ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਬੋਲਿ ਸਕੈ ਨ ਅੰਦਾਜਾ ॥੧॥ haath pasaar sakai ko jan kau bol sakai na andaajaa |1| Who can raise his hand against Your humble servant? No one can describe the Lord’s expanse. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਚੇਤਿ ਅਚੇਤ ਮੂੜ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਜੇ ਅਨਹਦ ਬਾਜਾ ॥ chet achet moorr man mere baaje anahad baajaa | Remember Him, O my thoughtless and foolish mind, and the unstruck melody of the sound current will resonate and resound. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਸੰਸਾ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਚੂਕੋ ਧ੍ਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦ ਨਿਵਾਜਾ ॥੨॥੫॥ keh kabeer sansaa bhram chooko dhraoo prahilaad nivaajaa |2|5| Says Kabeer, my skepticism and doubt have been dispelled; the Lord has exalted me, as He did Dhroo and Prahlaad. ||2||5|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਸੀਲੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਜਪੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਨ ਕੀਨੀ ਹਉ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਟੇਢ ਪਗਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ seel dharam jap bhagat na keenee hau abhimaan ttedt pagaree |1| rahaau | I have not practiced humility, righteousness or devotional worship; I am proud and egotistical, and I have taken a crooked path. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਮਰ ਜਾਨਿ ਸੰਚੀ ਇਹ ਕਾਇਆ ਇਹ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਕਾਚੀ ਗਗਰੀ ॥ amar jaan sanchee ih kaaeaa ih mithiaa kaachee gagaree | Believing this body to be immortal, I pampered it, but it is a fragile and perishable vessel. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਨਹਿ ਨਿਵਾਜਿ ਸਾਜਿ ਹਮ ਕੀਏ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਅਵਰ ਲਗਰੀ ॥੧॥ jineh nivaaj saaj ham kee tiseh bisaar avar lagaree |1| Forgetting the Lord who formed, fashioned and embellished me, I have become attached to another. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੰਧਿਕ ਤੋਹਿ ਸਾਧ ਨਹੀ ਕਹੀਅਉ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰੇ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਪਗਰੀ ॥ sandhik tohi saadh nahee kaheeo saran pare tumaree pagaree | I am Your thief; I cannot be called holy. I have fallen at Your feet, seeking Your Sanctuary. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਇਹ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਸੁਨੀਅਹੁ ਮਤ ਘਾਲਹੁ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਖਬਰੀ ॥੨॥੬॥ keh kabeer ih binatee suneeahu mat ghaalahu jam kee khabaree |2|6| Says Kabeer, please listen to this prayer of mine, O Lord; please do not send me sommons of the Messenger of Death. ||2||6|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਕਰੈ ਕੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਖੋਲਿੑ ਕਿਵਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ tujh bin surat karai ko meree darasan deejai khola kivaar |1| rahaau | Who else can take care of me, other than You? Please open Your door, and grant me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤੁਮ ਧਨ ਧਨੀ ਉਦਾਰ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਸ੍ਰਵਨਨੑ ਸੁਨੀਅਤੁ ਸੁਜਸੁ ਤੁਮੑਾਰ ॥ tum dhan dhanee udaar tiaagee sravanana suneeat sujas tumaar | You are the richest of the rich, generous and unattached. With my ears, I listen to Your Praises. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਾਗਉ ਕਾਹਿ ਰੰਕ ਸਭ ਦੇਖਉ ਤੁਮੑ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੋ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ maagau kaeh rank sabh dekhau tuma hee te mero nisataar |1| From whom should I beg? I see that all are beggars. My salvation comes only from You. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
