ਪੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਗਸੇ ਆਪਿ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥੪॥੫॥੮॥ pekh darasan naanak bigase aap le milaae |4|5|8| Beholding the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, Nanak has blossomed forth; the Lord has united him in Union. ||4||5||8|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਅਬਿਚਲ ਨਗਰੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥ abichal nagar gobind guroo kaa naam japat sukh paaeaa raam | Eternal and immovable is the City of God and Guru; chanting His Name, I have found peace. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਮਨ ਇਛੇ ਸੇਈ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ਕਰਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥ man ichhe seee fal paae karatai aap vasaaeaa raam | I have obtained the fruits of my mind’s desires; the Creator Himself established it. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਕਰਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ਪੁਤ ਭਾਈ ਸਿਖ ਬਿਗਾਸੇ ॥ karatai aap vasaaeaa sarab sukh paaeaa put bhaaee sikh bigaase | The Creator Himself established it. I have found total peace; my children, siblings and Sikhs have all blossomed forth in bliss. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਸੇ ॥ gun gaaveh pooran paramesur kaaraj aaeaa raase | Singing the Glorious Praises of the Perfect Transcendent Lord, my affairs have come to be resolved. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪੇ ਰਖਾ ਆਪਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਮਾਇਆ ॥ prabh aap suaamee aape rakhaa aap pitaa aap maaeaa | God Himself is my Lord and Master. He Himself is my Saving Grace; He Himself is my father and mother. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ kahu naanak satigur balihaaree jin ehu thaan suhaaeaa |1| Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the True Guru, who has embellished and adorned this place. ||1|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਘਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਹਟਨਾਲੇ ਸੋਹੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਰਾਮ ॥ ghar mandar hattanaale sohe jis vich naam nivaasee raam | Homes, mansions, stores and markets are beautiful, when the Lord’s Name abides within. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਸੰਤ ਭਗਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਕਟੀਐ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫਾਸੀ ਰਾਮ ॥ sant bhagat har naam araadheh katteeai jam kee faasee raam | The Saints and devotees worship the Lord’s Name in adoration, and the noose of Death is cut away. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਕਾਟੀ ਜਮ ਫਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥ kaattee jam faasee prabh abinaasee har har naam dhiaae | The noose of Death is cut away, meditating on the Name of the Eternal, Unchanging Lord, Har, Har. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਸਗਲ ਸਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਮਨ ਇਛੇ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ॥ sagal samagree pooran hoee man ichhe fal paae | Everything is perfect for them, and they obtain the fruits of their mind’s desires. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਸੰਤ ਸਜਨ ਸੁਖਿ ਮਾਣਹਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਨਾਸੀ ॥ sant sajan sukh maaneh raleea dookh darad bhram naasee | The Saints and friends enjoy peace and pleasure; their pain, suffering and doubts are dispelled. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਸੀ ॥੨॥ sabad savaare satigur poorai naanak sad bal jaasee |2| The Perfect True Guru has embellished them with the Word of the Shabad; Nanak is forever a sacrifice to them. ||2|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਦਾਤਿ ਖਸਮ ਕੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ daat khasam kee pooree hoee nit nit charrai savaaee raam | The gift of our Lord and Master is perfect; it increases day by day. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਖਸਮਾਨਾ ਕੀਆ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ paarabraham khasamaanaa keea jis dee vaddee vaddiaaee raam | The Supreme Lord God has made me His own; His Glorious Greatness is so great! - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭਇਆ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ aad jugaad bhagatan kaa raakhaa so prabh bheaa deaalaa | From the very beginning, and throughout the ages, He is the Protector of His devotees; God has become merciful to me. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖੀ ਵਸਾਏ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥ jeea jant sabh sukhee vasaae prabh aape kar pratipaalaa | All beings and creatures now dwell in peace; God Himself cherishes and cares for them. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ deh dis poor rahiaa jas suaamee keemat kehan na jaaee | The Praises of the Lord and Master are totally pervading in the ten directions; I cannot express His worth. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਅਬਿਚਲ ਨੀਵ ਰਖਾਈ ॥੩॥ kahu naanak satigur balihaaree jin abichal neev rakhaaee |3| Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the True Guru, who has laid this eternal foundation. ||3|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਗਿਆਨ ਧਿਆਨ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਨਿਤ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥ giaan dhiaan pooran paramesur har har kathaa nit suneeai raam | The spiritual wisdom and meditation of the Perfect Transcendent Lord, and the Sermon of the Lord, Har, Har, are continually heard there. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਅਨਹਦ ਚੋਜ ਭਗਤ ਭਵ ਭੰਜਨ ਅਨਹਦ ਵਾਜੇ ਧੁਨੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥ anahad choj bhagat bhav bhanjan anahad vaaje dhuneeai raam | The devotees of the Lord, the Destroyer of fear, play endlessly there, and the unstruck melody resounds and vibrates there. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਅਨਹਦ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੇ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਨਿਤ ਹੋਵੈ ॥ anahad jhunakaare tat beechaare sant gosatt nit hovai | The unstruck melody resounds and resonates, and the Saints contemplate the essence of reality; this discourse is their daily routine. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਸਭ ਕਾਟਹਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਗਲੇ ਖੋਵੈ ॥ har naam araadheh mail sabh kaatteh kilavikh sagale khovai | They worship the Lord’s Name, and all their filth is washed away; they rid themselves of all sins. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਤਹ ਜਨਮ ਨ ਮਰਣਾ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਜੋੁਨੀਐ ॥ teh janam na maranaa aavan jaanaa bahurr na paaeeai juoneeai | There is no birth or death there, no coming or going, and no entering into the womb of reincarnation again. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਇਛ ਪੁਨੀਐ ॥੪॥੬॥੯॥ naanak gur paramesar paaeaa jis prasaad ichh puneeai |4|6|9| Nanak has found the Guru, the Transcendent Lord; by His Grace, desires are fulfilled. ||4||6||9|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਸੰਤਾ ਕੇ ਕਾਰਜਿ ਆਪਿ ਖਲੋਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਕੰਮੁ ਕਰਾਵਣਿ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥ santaa ke kaaraj aap khaloeaa har kam karaavan aaeaa raam | The Lord Himself has stood up to resolve the affairs of the Saints; He has come to complete their tasks. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਧਰਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਤਾਲੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਲੁ ਛਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥ dharat suhaavee taal suhaavaa vich amrit jal chhaaeaa raam | The land is beautiful, and the pool is beautiful; within it is contained the Ambrosial Water. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਲੁ ਛਾਇਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਾਜੁ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰੇ ॥ amrit jal chhaaeaa pooran saaj karaaeaa sagal manorath poore | The Ambrosial Water is filling it, and my job is perfectly complete; all my desires are fulfilled. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਭਇਆ ਜਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲਾਥੇ ਸਗਲ ਵਿਸੂਰੇ ॥ jai jai kaar bheaa jag antar laathe sagal visoore | Congratulations are pouring in from all over the world; all my sorrows are eliminated. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਚੁਤ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਜਸੁ ਵੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਗਾਇਆ ॥ pooran purakh achut abinaasee jas ved puraanee gaaeaa | The Vedas and the Puraanas sing the Praises of the Perfect, Unchanging, Imperishable Primal Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਰਖਿਆ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੧॥ apanaa birad rakhiaa paramesar naanak naam dhiaaeaa |1| The Transcendent Lord has kept His promise, and confirmed His nature; Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਰਿਧਿ ਦੀਨੇ ਕਰਤੇ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਕਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ nav nidh sidh ridh deene karate tott na aavai kaaee raam | The Creator has given me the nine treasures, wealth and spiritual powers, and I do not lack anything. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
