ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੈ ਘਰਿ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ har amrit bhare bhanddaar sabh kichh hai ghar tis kai bal raam jeeo | The Lord’s Ambrosial Nectar is an overflowing treasure; everything is in His Home. I am a sacrifice to the Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬਾਬੁਲੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਵਡ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹਾਰਾ ॥ baabul meraa vadd samarathaa karan kaaran prabh haaraa | My Father is absolutely all-powerful. God is the Doer, the Cause of causes. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਦੁਖੁ ਕੋਈ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰਾ ॥ jis simarat dukh koee na laagai bhaujal paar utaaraa | Remembering Him in meditation, pain does not touch me; thus I cross over the terrifying world-ocean. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਜੀਵਾ ॥ aad jugaad bhagatan kaa raakhaa usatat kar kar jeevaa | In the beginning, and throughout the ages, He is the Protector of His devotees. Praising Him continually, I live. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਹਾ ਰਸੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪੀਵਾ ॥੧॥ naanak naam mahaa ras meetthaa anadin man tan peevaa |1| O Nanak, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the sweetest and most sublime essence. Night and day, I drink it in with my mind and body. ||1|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਕਿਉ ਵੇਛੋੜਾ ਥੀਵਈ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ har aape le milaae kiau vechhorraa theevee bal raam jeeo | The Lord unites me with Himself; how could I feel any separation? I am a sacrifice to the Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਸੋ ਸਦਾ ਸਦ ਜੀਵਈ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ jis no teree ttek so sadaa sad jeevee bal raam jeeo | One who has Your Support lives forever and ever. I am a sacrifice to the Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਤੁਝੈ ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ਸਾਚੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰਾ ॥ teree ttek tujhai te paaee saache sirajanahaaraa | I take my support from You alone, O True Creator Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਕੋਈ ਨਾਹੀ ਐਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥ jis te khaalee koee naahee aisaa prabhoo hamaaraa | No one lacks this Support; such is my God. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਆਸ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੀ ॥ sant janaa mil mangal gaaeaa din rain aas tumaaree | Meeting with the humble Saints, I sing the songs of joy; day and night, I place my hopes in You. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਫਲੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੨॥ safal daras bhettiaa gur pooraa naanak sad balihaaree |2| I have obtained the Blessed Vision, the Darshan of the Perfect Guru. Nanak is forever a sacrifice. ||2|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸੰਮੑਲਿਆ ਸਚੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਮਾਨੁ ਮਹਤੁ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ samaliaa sach thaan maan mehat sach paaeaa bal raam jeeo | Contemplating, dwelling upon the Lord’s true home, I receive honor, greatness and truth. I am a sacrifice to the Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਗੁਣ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਗਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ satigur miliaa deaal gun abinaasee gaaeaa bal raam jeeo | Meeting the Merciful True Guru, I sing the Praises of the Imperishable Lord. I am a sacrifice to the Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗਾਉ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੁਆਮੀਆ ॥ gun govind gaau nit nit praan preetam suaameea | Sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, continually, continuously; He is the Beloved Master of the breath of life. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸੁਭ ਦਿਵਸ ਆਏ ਗਹਿ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਏ ਮਿਲੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀਆ ॥ subh divas aae geh kantth laae mile antarajaameea | Good times have come; the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, has met me, and hugged me close in His Embrace. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਵਜਹਿ ਵਾਜੇ ਅਨਹਦਾ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੇ ॥ sat santokh vajeh vaaje anahadaa jhunakaare | The musical instruments of truth and contentment vibrate, and the unstruck melody of the sound current resounds. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸੁਣਿ ਭੈ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਸਗਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰੇ ॥੩॥ sun bhai binaase sagal naanak prabh purakh karanaihaare |3| Hearing this, all my fears have been dispelled; O Nanak, God is the Primal Being, the Creator Lord. ||3|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਉਪਜਿਆ ਤਤੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਸਾਹੁਰੈ ਪੇਈਐ ਇਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ aupajiaa tat giaan saahurai peeeai ik har bal raam jeeo | The essence of spiritual wisdom has welled up; in this world, and the next, the One Lord is pervading. I am a sacrifice to the Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮੈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਭਿੰਨ ਕਰਿ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ brahamai braham miliaa koe na saakai bhin kar bal raam jeeo | When God meets the God within the self, no one can separate them. I am a sacrifice to the Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬਿਸਮੁ ਪੇਖੈ ਬਿਸਮੁ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਬਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਨਦਰੀ ਆਇਆ ॥ bisam pekhai bisam suneeai bisamaad nadaree aaeaa | I gaze upon the Wondrous Lord, and listen to the Wondrous Lord; the Wondrous Lord has come into my vision. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥ jal thal maheeal pooran suaamee ghatt ghatt rahiaa samaaeaa | The Perfect Lord and Master is pervading the water, the land and the sky, in each and every heart. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥ jis te upajiaa tis maeh samaaeaa keemat kehan na jaae | I have merged again into the One from whom I originated. The value of this cannot be described. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਚਲਤ ਨ ਜਾਹੀ ਲਖਣੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੪॥੨॥ jis ke chalat na jaahee lakhane naanak tiseh dhiaae |4|2| Nanak meditates on Him. ||4||2|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ik oankaar satigur prasaad | One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣ ਲਾਗੇ ॥ gobind gun gaavan laage | I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾਗੇ ॥ har rang anadin jaage | I am awake, night and day, in the Lord’s Love. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਜਾਗੇ ਪਾਪ ਭਾਗੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੰਤ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ॥ har rang jaage paap bhaage mile sant piaariaa | Awake to the Lord’s Love, my sins have left me. I meet with the Beloved Saints. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣ ਲਾਗੇ ਭਰਮ ਭਾਗੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਗਲ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥ gur charan laage bharam bhaage kaaj sagal savaariaa | Attached to the Guru’s Feet, my doubts are dispelled, and all my affairs are resolved. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸੁਣਿ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਹਜਿ ਜਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੈ ॥ sun sravan baanee sehaj jaanee har naam jap vaddabhaagai | Listening to the Word of the Guru’s Bani with my ears, I know celestial peace. By great good fortune, I meditate on the Lord’s Name. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਗੈ ॥੧॥ binavant naanak saran suaamee jeeo pindd prabh aagai |1| Prays Nanak, I have entered my Lord and Master’s Sanctuary. I dedicate my body and soul to God. ||1|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਅਨਹਤ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ॥ anahat sabad suhaavaa | The unstruck melody of the Shabad, the Word of God is so very beautiful. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਚੁ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਾ ॥ sach mangal har jas gaavaa | True joy comes from singing the Lord’s Praises. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਖ ਨਾਸੇ ਰਹਸੁ ਉਪਜੈ ਮਨਿ ਘਣਾ ॥ gun gaae har har dookh naase rehas upajai man ghanaa | Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har, pain is dispelled, and my mind is filled with tremendous joy. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਮਨੁ ਤੰਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਭਣਾ ॥ man tan niramal dekh darasan naam prabh kaa mukh bhanaa | My mind and body have become immaculate and pure, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord’s Darshan; I chant the Name of God. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
