ਜਨੁ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਲਾਵ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਆਰੰਭੁ ਕਾਜੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ jan kahai naanak laav pahilee aaranbh kaaj rachaaeaa |1| Servant Nanak proclaims that, in this, the first round of the marriage ceremony, the marriage ceremony has begun. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਦੂਜੜੀ ਲਾਵ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ har doojarree laav satigur purakh milaaeaa bal raam jeeo | In the second round of the marriage ceremony, the Lord leads you to meet the True Guru, the Primal Being. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭੈ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ nirbhau bhai man hoe haumai mail gavaaeaa bal raam jeeo | With the Fear of God, the Fearless Lord in the mind, the filth of egotism is eradicated. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਭਉ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਰਾਮੁ ਹਦੂਰੇ ॥ niramal bhau paaeaa har gun gaaeaa har vekhai raam hadoore | In the Fear of God, the Immaculate Lord, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and behold the Lord’s Presence before you. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਸਾਰਿਆ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਬ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ॥ har aatam raam pasaariaa suaamee sarab rahiaa bharapoore | The Lord, the Supreme Soul, is the Lord and Master of the Universe; He is pervading and permeating everywhere, fully filling all spaces. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਮੰਗਲ ਗਾਏ ॥ antar baahar har prabh eko mil har jan mangal gaae | Deep within, and outside as well, there is only the One Lord God. Meeting together, the humble servants of the Lord sing the songs of joy. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੂਜੀ ਲਾਵ ਚਲਾਈ ਅਨਹਦ ਸਬਦ ਵਜਾਏ ॥੨॥ jan naanak doojee laav chalaaee anahad sabad vajaae |2| Servant Nanak proclaims that, in this, the second round of the marriage ceremony, the unstruck sound current of the Shabad resounds. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਤੀਜੜੀ ਲਾਵ ਮਨਿ ਚਾਉ ਭਇਆ ਬੈਰਾਗੀਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ har teejarree laav man chaau bheaa bairaageea bal raam jeeo | In the third round of the marriage ceremony, the mind is filled with Divine Love. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ sant janaa har mel har paaeaa vaddabhaageea bal raam jeeo | Meeting with the humble Saints of the Lord, I have found the Lord, by great good fortune. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲੀ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ niramal har paaeaa har gun gaaeaa mukh bolee har baanee | I have found the Immaculate Lord, and I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. I speak the Word of the Lord’s Bani. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਕਥੀਐ ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ॥ sant janaa vaddabhaagee paaeaa har katheeai akath kahaanee | By great good fortune, I have found the humble Saints, and I speak the Unspoken Speech of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧੁਨਿ ਉਪਜੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥ hiradai har har har dhun upajee har japeeai masatak bhaag jeeo | The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, vibrates and resounds within my heart; meditating on the Lord, I have realized the destiny inscribed upon my forehead. - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ guramukh miliaa subhaae har man tan meetthaa laaeaa bal raam jeeo | As Gurmukh, I have met Him, with intuitive ease; the Lord seems so sweet to my mind and body. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਇਆ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥ har meetthaa laaeaa mere prabh bhaaeaa anadin har liv laaee | The Lord seems so sweet; I am pleasing to my God. Night and day, I lovingly focus my consciousness on the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਜੀ ਵਾਧਾਈ ॥ man chindiaa fal paaeaa suaamee har naam vajee vaadhaaee | I have obtained my Lord and Master, the fruit of my mind’s desires. The Lord’s Name resounds and resonates. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਕਾਜੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ਧਨ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਿਗਾਸੀ ॥ har prabh tthaakur kaaj rachaaeaa dhan hiradai naam vigaasee | The Lord God, my Lord and Master, blends with His bride, and her heart blossoms forth in the Naam. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਚਉਥੀ ਲਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਵਿਨਾਸੀ ॥੪॥੨॥ jan naanak bole chauthee laavai har paaeaa prabh avinaasee |4|2| Servant Nanak proclaims that, in this, the fourth round of the marriage ceremony, we have found the Eternal Lord God. ||4||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥ guramukh har gun gaae | The Gurmukhs sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord; - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਾਏ ॥ hiradai rasan rasaae | in their hearts, and on their tongues, they enjoy and savor His taste. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਾਏ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਏ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥ har rasan rasaae mere prabh bhaae miliaa sehaj subhaae | They enjoy and savor His taste, and are pleasing to my God, who meets them with natural ease. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭੋਗ ਭੋਗੇ ਸੁਖਿ ਸੋਵੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ ॥ anadin bhog bhoge sukh sovai sabad rahai liv laae | Night and day, they enjoy enjoyments, and they sleep in peace; they remain lovingly absorbed in the Word of the Shabad. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥ vaddai bhaag gur pooraa paaeeai anadin naam dhiaae | By great good fortune, one obtains the Perfect Guru; night and day, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਹਜੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੧॥ sahaje sehaj miliaa jagajeevan naanak sun samaae |1| In absolute ease and poise, one meets the Life of the World. O Nanak, one is absorbed in the state of absolute absorption. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥ sangat sant milaae | Joining the Society of the Saints, - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਸਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲਿ ਨਾਏ ॥ har sar niramal naae | I bathe in the Immaculate Pool of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਿਰਮਲਿ ਜਲਿ ਨਾਏ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਭਏ ਪਵਿਤੁ ਸਰੀਰਾ ॥ niramal jal naae mail gavaae bhe pavit sareeraa | Bathing in these Immaculate Waters, my filth is removed, and my body is purified and sanctified. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਈ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਬਿਨਠੀ ਪੀਰਾ ॥ duramat mail gee bhram bhaagaa haumai binatthee peeraa | The filth of intellectual evil-mindedness is removed, doubt is gone, and the pain of egotism is dispelled. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਦਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਈ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਹੋਆ ਵਾਸਾ ॥ nadar prabhoo satasangat paaee nij ghar hoaa vaasaa | By God’s Grace, I found the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation. I dwell in the home of my own inner being. - Guru Ramdas Ji
