ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਵੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ naanak rang ravai rang raatee jin har setee chit laaeaa |3| O Nanak, she revels in joy, imbued with His Love; she focuses her consciousness on the Lord. ||3|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਕਾਮਣਿ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਸਾਜਨ ਮਿਲੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ kaaman man sohilarraa saajan mile piaare raam | The mind of the soul bride is very happy, when she meets her Friend, her Beloved Lord. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ guramatee man niramal hoaa har raakhiaa ur dhaare raam | Through the Guru’s Teachings, her mind becomes immaculate; she enshrines the Lord within her heart. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ਅਪਨਾ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਤਾ ॥ har raakhiaa ur dhaare apanaa kaaraj savaare guramatee har jaataa | Keeping the Lord enshrined within her heart, her affairs are arranged and resolved; through the Guru’s Teachings, she knows her Lord. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਲਇਆ ਮਨੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਮ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥ preetam mohi leaa man meraa paaeaa karam bidhaataa | My Beloved has enticed my mind; I have obtained the Lord, the Architect of Destiny. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਮੰਨਿ ਮੁਰਾਰੇ ॥ satigur sev sadaa sukh paaeaa har vasiaa man muraare | Serving the True Guru, she finds lasting peace; the Lord, the Destroyer of pride, dwells in her mind. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਈ ਗੁਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੫॥੬॥ naanak mel lee gur apunai gur kai sabad savaare |4|5|6| O Nanak, she merges with her Guru, embellished and adorned with the Word of the Guru’s Shabad. ||4||5||6|| - Guru Amardas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭੀਜੈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ har man tano guramukh bheejai raam naam piaare raam | The mind and body of the Gurmukh is drenched with the Lord, the Beloved Lord. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਭਿ ਕੁਲ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ raam naam piaare sabh kul udhaare raam naam mukh baanee | Through the Name of the Beloved Lord, all one’s ancestors and generations are redeemed; chant the Lord’s Name with your mouth. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਘਰਿ ਅਨਹਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥ aavan jaan rahe sukh paaeaa ghar anahad surat samaanee | Comings and goings cease, peace is obtained, and in the home of the heart, one’s awareness is absorbed in the unstruck melody of the sound current. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੇ ॥ har har eko paaeaa har prabh naanak kirapaa dhaare | I have found the One and only Lord, Har, Har. The Lord God has showered His Mercy upon Nanak. - Guru Amardas Ji

ਗੁਰਿ ਮੇਲੀ ਬਹੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥ gur melee bahu kirapaa dhaaree har kai sabad subhaae raam | The Guru has very mercifully blessed me and united me with the Lord; through the Shabad, the Word of the Lord, I am lovingly embellished. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਮਿਲੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਰਲੀਆ ਮਾਣੇ ॥ mil sabad subhaae aap gavaae rang siau raleea maane | Merging in the Word of the Shabad, I am lovingly embellished; my ego is eradicated, and I revel in joyous love. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਖਾਲੀ ਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ॥ sej sukhaalee jaa prabh bhaaeaa har har naam samaane | My bed is so comfortable, since I became pleasing to God; I am absorbed in the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਸਾ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜੇ ਚਲੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਏ ॥ naanak sohaagan saa vaddabhaagee je chalai satigur bhaae | O Nanak, that soul bride is so very blessed, who walks in harmony with the True Guru’s Will. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਹਮ ਨੀਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਤਿ ਊਚਾ ਕਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥ ham neevee prabh at aoochaa kiau kar miliaa jaae raam |2| I am lowly, and God is lofty and exalted. How will I ever meet Him? ||2|| - Guru Amardas Ji
ਘਟਿ ਘਟੇ ਸਭਨਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਏਕੋ ਏਕੋ ਰਾਮ ਭਤਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥ ghatt ghatte sabhanaa vich eko eko raam bhataaro raam | In each and every heart, and deep within all, is the One Lord, the Husband Lord of all. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਇਕਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਵਸੈ ਇਕਨਾ ਮਨਿ ਆਧਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥ eikanaa prabh door vasai ikanaa man aadhaaro raam | God dwells far away from some, while for others, He is the Support of the mind. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਇਕਨਾ ਮਨ ਆਧਾਰੋ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੋ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ eikanaa man aadhaaro sirajanahaaro vaddabhaagee gur paaeaa | For some, the Creator Lord is the Support of the mind; He is obtained by great good fortune, through the Guru. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਇਆ ॥ ghatt ghatt har prabh eko suaamee guramukh alakh lakhaaeaa | The One Lord God, the Master, is in each and every heart; the Gurmukh sees the unseen. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸਹਜੇ ਅਨਦੁ ਹੋਆ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੀਚਾਰੋ ॥ sahaje anad hoaa man maaniaa naanak braham beechaaro | The mind is satisfied, in natural ecstasy, O Nanak, contemplating God. - Guru Amardas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਧੂੜਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਮੈ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਹਮ ਪਾਪੀ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥ har dhoorr devahu mai poore gur kee ham paapee mukat karaaeaa raam | O Lord, please bless me with the dust of the feet of the Perfect Guru, so that I, a sinner, may be liberated. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਪਾਪੀ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਕਰਾਏ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਵਾਸਾ ॥ paapee mukat karaae aap gavaae nij ghar paaeaa vaasaa | Even sinners are liberated, by eradicating their egotism; they obtain a home within their own heart. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬੁਧੀ ਸੁਖਿ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸਾ ॥ bibek budhee sukh rain vihaanee guramat naam pragaasaa | With clear unerstanding, the night of their lives passes peacefully; through the Guru’s Teachings, the Naam is revealed to them. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਏ ॥ har har anad bheaa din raatee naanak har meetth lagaae | Through the Lord, Har, Har, I am in ecstasy, day and night. O Nanak, the Lord seems sweet. - Guru Amardas Ji
