ਪਿਰ ਕੀ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣਈ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥ pir kee saar na jaanee doojai bhaae piaar | She does not know the value of her Husband Lord; she is attached to the love of duality. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸਾ ਕੁਸੁਧ ਸਾ ਕੁਲਖਣੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਰੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਕੁਨਾਰਿ ॥੨॥ saa kusudh saa kulakhanee naanak naaree vich kunaar |2| She is impure, and ill-mannered, O Nanak; among women, she is the most evil woman. ||2|| - Guru Amardas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਪਣੀ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲੀ ਬੈਣੀ ॥ har har apanee deaa kar har bolee bainee | Be kind to me, Lord, that I might chant the Word of Your Bani. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਹਰਿ ਉਚਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਹਾ ਲੈਣੀ ॥ har naam dhiaaee har ucharaa har laahaa lainee | May I meditate on the Lord’s Name, chant the Lord’s Name, and obtain the profit of the Lord’s Name. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੋ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਹਉ ਕੁਰਬੈਣੀ ॥ jo japade har har dinas raat tin hau kurabainee | I am a sacrifice to those who chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, day and night. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਜਨ ਦੇਖਾ ਨੈਣੀ ॥ jinaa satigur meraa piaaraa araadhiaa tin jan dekhaa nainee | May I behold with my eyes those who worship and adore my Beloved True Guru. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਉ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਅਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਉ ਜਿਨਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣੁ ਮੇਲਿਆ ਸੈਣੀ ॥੨੪॥ hau vaariaa apane guroo kau jin meraa har sajan meliaa sainee |24| I am a sacrifice to my Guru, who has united me with my Lord, my friend, my very best friend. ||24|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਨ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੋ ਮਿਤੁ ॥ har daasan siau preet hai har daasan ko mit | The Lord loves His slaves; the Lord is the friend of His slaves. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਜਿਉ ਜੰਤੀ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਜੰਤੁ ॥ har daasan kai vas hai jiau jantee kai vas jant | The Lord is under the control of His slaves, like the musical instrument under the control of the musician. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਿਉ ਨੇਹੁ ॥ har ke daas har dhiaaeide kar preetam siau nehu | The Lord’s slaves meditate on the Lord; they love their Beloved. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਵਰਸੈ ਮੇਹੁ ॥ kirapaa kar kai sunahu prabh sabh jag meh varasai mehu | Please, hear me, O God - let Your Grace rain over the whole world. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਹੈ ਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ jo har daasan kee usatat hai saa har kee vaddiaaee | The praise of the Lord’s slaves is the Glory of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਭਾਵਦੀ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਜੈਕਾਰੁ ਕਰਾਈ ॥ har aapanee vaddiaaee bhaavadee jan kaa jaikaar karaaee | The Lord loves His Own Glory, and so His humble servant is celebrated and hailed. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਇਕ ਸਮਾਨਿ ॥ so har jan naam dhiaaeidaa har har jan ik samaan | That humble servant of the Lord meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; the Lord, and the Lord’s humble servant, are one and the same. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਹੁ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੧॥ jan naanak har kaa daas hai har paij rakhahu bhagavaan |1| Servant Nanak is the slave of the Lord; O Lord, O God, please, preserve his honor. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਾਈ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਰਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ naanak preet laaee tin saachai tis bin rehan na jaaee | Nanak loves the True Lord; without Him, he cannot even survive. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਾਈ ॥੨॥ satigur milai ta pooraa paaeeai har ras rasan rasaaee |2| Meeting the True Guru, one finds the Perfect Lord, and the tongue enjoys the sublime essence of the Lord. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਪਰਭਾਤਿ ਤੂਹੈ ਹੀ ਗਾਵਣਾ ॥ rain dinas parabhaat toohai hee gaavanaa | Night and day, morning and night, I sing to You, Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਰਬਤ ਨਾਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਧਿਆਵਣਾ ॥ jeea jant sarabat naau teraa dhiaavanaa | All beings and creatures meditate on Your Name. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਖਾਵਣਾ ॥ too daataa daataar teraa ditaa khaavanaa | You are the Giver, the Great Giver; we eat whatever You give us. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਪ ਗਵਾਵਣਾ ॥ bhagat janaa kai sang paap gavaavanaa | In the congregation of the devotees, sins are eradicated. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਵਣਾ ॥੨੫॥ jan naanak sad balihaarai bal bal jaavanaa |25| Servant Nanak is forever a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice, O Lord. ||25|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਭਈ ਮਤਿ ਮਧਿਮ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ antar agiaan bhee mat madhim satigur kee parateet naahee | He has spiritual ignorance within, and his intellect is dull and dim; he does not place his faith in the True Guru. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅੰਦਰਿ ਕਪਟੁ ਸਭੁ ਕਪਟੋ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਕਪਟੇ ਖਪਹਿ ਖਪਾਹੀ ॥ andar kapatt sabh kapatto kar jaanai kapatte khapeh khapaahee | He has deceit within himself, and so he sees deception in all others; through his deceptions, he is totally ruined. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਆਪਣੈ ਸੁਆਇ ਫਿਰਾਹੀ ॥ satigur kaa bhaanaa chit na aavai aapanai suaae firaahee | The True Guru’s Will does not enter into his consciousness, and so he wanders around, pursuing his own interests. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਜੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ kirapaa kare je aapanee taa naanak sabad samaahee |1| If He grants His Grace, then Nanak is absorbed into the Word of the Shabad. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਮਨੂਆ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥ manamukh maaeaa mohi viaape doojai bhaae manooaa thir naeh | The self-willed manmukhs are engrossed in emotional attachment to Maya; in the love of duality, their minds are unsteady. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਲਤ ਰਹਹਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਖਪਹਿ ਖਪਾਹਿ ॥ anadin jalat raheh din raatee haumai khapeh khapaeh | Night and day, they are burning; day and night, they are totally ruined by their egotism. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੋਭੁ ਮਹਾ ਗੁਬਾਰਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ antar lobh mahaa gubaaraa tin kai nikatt na koee jaeh | Within them, is the total pitch darkness of greed, and no one even approaches them. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਓਇ ਆਪਿ ਦੁਖੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਮਰਹਿ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ oe aap dukhee sukh kabahoo na paaveh janam mareh mar jaeh | They themselves are miserable, and they never find peace; they are born, only to die, and die again. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਬਖਸਿ ਲਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਜਿ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਹਿ ॥੨॥ naanak bakhas le prabh saachaa ji gur charanee chit laeh |2| O Nanak, the True Lord God forgives those, who focus their consciousness on the Guru’s feet. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਸੰਤ ਭਗਤ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥ sant bhagat paravaan jo prabh bhaaeaa | That Saint, that devotee, is acceptable, who is loved by God. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੇਈ ਬਿਚਖਣ ਜੰਤ ਜਿਨੀ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ seee bichakhan jant jinee har dhiaaeaa | Those beings are wise, who meditate on the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਖਾਇਆ ॥ amrit naam nidhaan bhojan khaaeaa | They eat the food, the treasure of the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਾਇਆ ॥ sant janaa kee dhoor masatak laaeaa | They apply the dust of the feet of the Saints to their foreheads. - Guru Ramdas Ji
