ਆਪੇ ਕਾਸਟ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਕਾਸਟ ਅਗਨਿ ਰਖਾਇਆ ॥ aape kaasatt aap har piaaraa vich kaasatt agan rakhaaeaa | The Beloved Lord Himself is the firewood, and He Himself keeps the fire within the wood. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਭੈ ਅਗਨਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਜਲਾਇਆ ॥ aape hee aap varatadaa piaaraa bhai agan na sakai jalaaeaa | The Beloved Lord Himself, all by Himself, permeates them, and because of the Fear of God, the fire cannot burn the wood. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਮਾਰਿ ਜੀਵਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸਾਹ ਲੈਦੇ ਸਭਿ ਲਵਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ aape maar jeevaaeidaa piaaraa saah laide sabh lavaaeaa |3| The Beloved Himself kills and revives; all draw the breath of life, given by Him. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਤਾਣੁ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਕਾਰੈ ਲਾਇਆ ॥ aape taan deebaan hai piaaraa aape kaarai laaeaa | The Beloved Himself is power and presence; He Himself engages us in our work. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਉ ਆਪਿ ਚਲਾਏ ਤਿਉ ਚਲੀਐ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਇਆ ॥ jiau aap chalaae tiau chaleeai piaare jiau har prabh mere bhaaeaa | As the Beloved makes me walk, I walk, as it pleases my Lord God. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਜੰਤੀ ਜੰਤੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਵਜਹਿ ਵਜਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੪॥ aape jantee jant hai piaaraa jan naanak vajeh vajaaeaa |4|4| The Beloved Himself is the musician, and the musical instrument; servant Nanak vibrates His vibration. ||4||4|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਆਪੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਉਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਸੂਰਜੁ ਚੰਦੁ ਚਾਨਾਣੁ ॥ aape srisatt upaaeidaa piaaraa kar sooraj chand chaanaan | The Beloved Himself created the Universe; He made the light of the sun and the moon. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪਿ ਨਿਤਾਣਿਆ ਤਾਣੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਮਾਣਿਆ ਮਾਣੁ ॥ aap nitaaniaa taan hai piaaraa aap nimaaniaa maan | The Beloved Himself is the power of the powerless; He Himself is the honor of the dishonored. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਰਖਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਸੁਘੜੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ aap deaa kar rakhadaa piaaraa aape sugharr sujaan |1| The Beloved Himself grants His Grace and protects us; He Himself is wise and all-knowing. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਜਪਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥ mere man jap raam naam neesaan | O my mind, chant the Name of the Lord, and receive His Insignia. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਧਿਆਇ ਤੂ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ satasangat mil dhiaae too har har bahurr na aavan jaan | rahaau | Join the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and meditate on the Lord, Har, Har; you shall not have to come and go in reincarnation again. ||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਗੁਣ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥ aape hee gun varatadaa piaaraa aape hee paravaan | The Beloved Himself pervades His Glorious Praises, and He Himself approves them. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸ ਕਰਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਸਚੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥ aape bakhas karaaeidaa piaaraa aape sach neesaan | The Beloved Himself grants His forgiveness, and He Himself bestows the Insignia of Truth. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਫੁਰਮਾਣੁ ॥੨॥ aape hukam varatadaa piaaraa aape hee furamaan |2| The Beloved Himself obeys His Will, and He Himself issues His Command. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵ ਕਰਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪਿ ਦਿਵਾਵੈ ਮਾਣੁ ॥ aape sev karaaeidaa piaaraa aap divaavai maan | The Beloved Himself commits some to His service, and He Himself blesses them with honor. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਤਾੜੀ ਲਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥੩॥ aape taarree laaeidaa piaaraa aape gunee nidhaan |3| The Beloved Himself is absorbed in Samaadhi; He Himself is the treasure of excellence. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਵਡਾ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਪਰਧਾਣੁ ॥ aape vaddaa aap hai piaaraa aape hee paradhaan | The Beloved Himself is the greatest; He Himself is supreme. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਤੁਲੁ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥ aape keemat paaeidaa piaaraa aape tul paravaan | The Beloved Himself appraises the value; He Himself is the scale, and the weights. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਅਤੁਲੁ ਤੁਲਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ॥੪॥੫॥ aape atul tulaaeidaa piaaraa jan naanak sad kurabaan |4|5| The Beloved Himself is unweighable - He weighs Himself; servant Nanak is forever a sacrifice to Him. ||4||5|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਆਪੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਹਾ ॥ aape gun gaavaaeidaa piaaraa aape sabad samaahaa | The Beloved Himself causes us to sing His Glorious Praises; He Himself is absorbed in the Word of His Shabad. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਲੇਖਣਿ ਆਪਿ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਆਪੇ ਲੇਖੁ ਲਿਖਾਹਾ ॥੧॥ aape lekhan aap likhaaree aape lekh likhaahaa |1| He Himself is the pen, and He Himself is the scribe; He Himself inscribes His inscription. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਜਪਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਓਮਾਹਾ ॥ mere man jap raam naam omaahaa | O my mind, joyfully chant the Name of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਅਨਦੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਲੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਹਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ anadin anad hovai vaddabhaagee lai gur poorai har laahaa | rahaau | Those very fortunate ones are in ecstasy night and day; through the Perfect Guru, they obtain the profit of the Lord’s Name. ||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਗੋਪੀ ਕਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਬਨਿ ਆਪੇ ਗਊ ਚਰਾਹਾ ॥ aape gopee kaan hai piaaraa ban aape gaoo charaahaa | The Beloved Himself is the milk-maid and Krishna; He Himself herds the cows in the woods. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਸਾਵਲ ਸੁੰਦਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਪੇ ਵੰਸੁ ਵਜਾਹਾ ॥ aape saaval sundaraa piaaraa aape vans vajaahaa | The Beloved Himself is the blue-skinned, handsome one; He Himself plays on His flute. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕੁਵਲੀਆਪੀੜੁ ਆਪਿ ਮਰਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਬਾਲਕ ਰੂਪਿ ਪਚਾਹਾ ॥੨॥ kuvaleeaapeerr aap maraaeidaa piaaraa kar baalak roop pachaahaa |2| The Beloved Himself took the form of a child, and destroyed Kuwalia-peer, the mad elephant. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪਿ ਅਖਾੜਾ ਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਆਪਿ ਚੋਜਾਹਾ ॥ aap akhaarraa paaeidaa piaaraa kar vekhai aap chojaahaa | The Beloved Himself sets the stage; He performs the plays, and He Himself watches them. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕਰਿ ਬਾਲਕ ਰੂਪ ਉਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਚੰਡੂਰੁ ਕੰਸੁ ਕੇਸੁ ਮਾਰਾਹਾ ॥ kar baalak roop upaaeidaa piaaraa chanddoor kans kes maaraahaa | The Beloved Himself assumed the form of the child, and killed the demons Chandoor, Kansa and Kaysee. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਬਲੁ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਬਲੁ ਭੰਨੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਮੁਗਧਾਹਾ ॥੩॥ aape hee bal aap hai piaaraa bal bhanai moorakh mugadhaahaa |3| The Beloved Himself, by Himself, is the embodiment of power; He shatters the power of the fools and idiots. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਜਗਤੁ ਉਪਾਇਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਵਸਿ ਆਪੇ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਹਥਾਹਾ ॥ sabh aape jagat upaaeidaa piaaraa vas aape jugat hathaahaa | The Beloved Himself created the whole world. In His hands He holds the power of the ages. - Guru Ramdas Ji
