ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਨੁ ਠਹਰਾਈਐ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਅਨਤ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਡੋਲੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ guramat man tthaharaaeeai meree jindurree anat na kaahoo ddole raam | Under Guru’s Instructions, hold your mind steady; O my soul, do not let it wander anywhere. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਅੜਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਗੁਣ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਾਣੀ ਬੋਲੇ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥ man chindiarraa fal paaeaa har prabh gun naanak baanee bole raam |1| One who utters the Bani of the Praises of the Lord God, O Nanak, obtains the fruits of his heart’s desires. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਵੁਠੜਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬੈਣ ਅਲਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥ guramat man amrit vuttharraa meree jindurree mukh amrit bain alaae raam | Under Guru’s Instruction, the Ambrosial Name abides within the mind, O my soul; with your mouth, utter the words of ambrosia. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਮਨਿ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥ amrit baanee bhagat janaa kee meree jindurree man suneeai har liv laae raam | The Words of the devotees are Ambrosial Nectar, O my soul; hearing them in the mind, embrace loving affection for the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਲਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥ chiree vichhunaa har prabh paaeaa gal miliaa sehaj subhaae raam | Separated for so very long, I have found the Lord God; He holds me close in His loving embrace. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਅਨਹਤ ਸਬਦ ਵਜਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥ jan naanak man anad bheaa hai meree jindurree anahat sabad vajaae raam |2| Servant Nanak’s mind is filled with bliss, O my soul; the unstruck sound-current of the Shabad vibrates within. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਉ ਮਨੁ ਦੇਵਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ਰਾਮ ॥ hau man devau tis aapanaa meree jindurree har prabh kee har kathaa sunaavai raam | I offer my mind to the one who recites the sermon of my Lord God, O my soul. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਅੜਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਰਾਮ ॥ guramukh sadaa araadh har meree jindurree man chindiarraa fal paavai raam | As Gurmukh, ever worship the Lord in adoration, O my soul, and you shall obtain the fruits of your heart’s desires. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਜੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਰਾਮ ॥੩॥ naanak bhaj har saranaagatee meree jindurree vaddabhaagee naam dhiaavai raam |3| O Nanak, hurry to the Lord’s Sanctuary; O my soul, those who meditate on the Lord’s Name are very fortunate. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਬਿਖੁ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਬਿਖੁ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥ haumai maaeaa bikh hai meree jindurree har amrit bikh leh jaae raam | Pride in Maya is poison, O my soul; through the Ambrosial Nectar of the Name, this poison is eradicated. - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਭਾਗ ਵਡੇ ਲਿਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥ har bhaag vadde likh paaeaa meree jindurree jan naanak naam samaae raam |1| The Lord has given me the pre-ordained blessing of high destiny, O my soul; servant Nanak merges in the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਜਿਉ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕੁ ਜਲ ਬਿਨੁ ਟੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ har bin saant na paaeeai meree jindurree jiau chaatrik jal bin ttere raam | Without the Lord, I find no peace, O my soul; I am like the song-bird, crying out without the rain drops. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਰਣੀ ਜਾਇ ਪਉ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਗੁਣ ਦਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ satigur saranee jaae pau meree jindurree gun dase har prabh kere raam | Go, and seek the Sanctuary of the True Guru, O my soul; He shall tell you of the Glorious Virtues of the Lord God. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਜੇ ਸਬਦ ਘਣੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥ jan naanak har melaaeaa meree jindurree ghar vaaje sabad ghanere raam |2| Servant Nanak has merged into the Lord, O my soul; the many melodies of the Shabad resound within his heart. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਛੁੜੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਬਿਖੁ ਬਾਧੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਜਾਲੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ manamukh haumai vichhurre meree jindurree bikh baadhe haumai jaale raam | Through egotism, the self-willed manmukhs are separated, O my soul; bound to poison, they are burnt by egotism. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਉ ਪੰਖੀ ਕਪੋਤਿ ਆਪੁ ਬਨੑਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਤਿਉ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਸਭਿ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ jiau pankhee kapot aap banaaeaa meree jindurree tiau manamukh sabh vas kaale raam | Like the pigeon, which itself falls into the trap, O my soul, all the self-willed manmukhs fall under the influence of death. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੋ ਮੋਹਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਦੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਸੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੂੜ ਬਿਤਾਲੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ jo mohi maaeaa chit laaeide meree jindurree se manamukh moorr bitaale raam | Those self-willed manmukhs who focus their consciousness on Maya, O my soul, are foolish, evil demons. - Guru Ramdas Ji
