ਸਭ ਦਿਨ ਕੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਪੰਥ ਬਿਠੁਲੇ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥ sabh din ke samarath panth bitthule hau bal bal jaau | You are all-powerful, at all times; You show me the Way; I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to You. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਸੀਖ ਸਿਖਾਇ ਰਹਿਓ ਅਪਨੀ ਸੀ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਤੇ ਨ ਟਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ seekh sikhaae rahio apanee see duramat te na ttarai |1| rahaau | I am so tired of giving it instructions - it will not refrain from its evil-mindedness. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਮਦਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੈ ਭਇਓ ਬਾਵਰੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਨਹਿ ਉਚਰੈ ॥ mad maaeaa kai bheo baavaro har jas neh ucharai | It has gone insane with the intoxication of Maya; it does not chant the Lord’s Praise. - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਕਰਿ ਪਰਪੰਚੁ ਜਗਤ ਕਉ ਡਹਕੈ ਅਪਨੋ ਉਦਰੁ ਭਰੈ ॥੧॥ kar parapanch jagat kau ddahakai apano udar bharai |1| Practicing deception, it tries to cheat the world, and so it fills its belly. ||1|| - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਸੁਆਨ ਪੂਛ ਜਿਉ ਹੋਇ ਨ ਸੂਧੋ ਕਹਿਓ ਨ ਕਾਨ ਧਰੈ ॥ suaan poochh jiau hoe na soodho kahio na kaan dharai | Like a dog’s tail, it cannot be straightened; it will not listen to what I tell it. - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਤ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਕਾਜੁ ਸਰੈ ॥੨॥੧॥ kahu naanak bhaj raam naam nit jaa te kaaj sarai |2|1| Says Nanak, vibrate forever the Name of the Lord, and all your affairs shall be adjusted. ||2||1|| - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji

ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਭਾਈ ਸੁਤ ਬੰਧਪ ਅਰੁ ਫੁਨਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੀ ਨਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ maat pitaa bhaaee sut bandhap ar fun grih kee naar |1| rahaau | mother, father, siblings, children, relatives and the wife of your home. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਤਨ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਹੋਤ ਜਬ ਨਿਆਰੇ ਟੇਰਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਤਿ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ॥ tan te praan hot jab niaare tterat pret pukaar | When the soul is separated from the body, then they will cry out, calling you a ghost. - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਆਧ ਘਰੀ ਕੋਊ ਨਹਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਘਰ ਤੇ ਦੇਤ ਨਿਕਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ aadh gharee koaoo neh raakhai ghar te det nikaar |1| No one will let you stay, for even half an hour; they drive you out of the house. ||1|| - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਜਿਉ ਜਗ ਰਚਨਾ ਯਹ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ॥ mrig trisanaa jiau jag rachanaa yeh dekhahu ridai bichaar | The created world is like an illusion, a mirage - see this, and reflect upon it in your mind. - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਜੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਤ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਹੋਤ ਉਧਾਰ ॥੨॥੨॥ kahu naanak bhaj raam naam nit jaa te hot udhaar |2|2| Says Nanak, vibrate forever the Name of the Lord, which shall deliver you. ||2||2|| - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji

ਜਗਤ ਮੈ ਝੂਠੀ ਦੇਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥ jagat mai jhootthee dekhee preet | In this world, I have seen love to be false. - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਅਪਨੇ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਸਿਉ ਸਭ ਲਾਗੇ ਕਿਆ ਦਾਰਾ ਕਿਆ ਮੀਤ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ apane hee sukh siau sabh laage kiaa daaraa kiaa meet |1| rahaau | Whether they are spouses or friends, all are concerned only with their own happiness. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਮੇਰਉ ਮੇਰਉ ਸਭੈ ਕਹਤ ਹੈ ਹਿਤ ਸਿਉ ਬਾਧਿਓ ਚੀਤ ॥ merau merau sabhai kehat hai hit siau baadhio cheet | All say, “Mine, mine”, and attach their consciousness to you with love. - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਅੰਤਿ ਕਾਲਿ ਸੰਗੀ ਨਹ ਕੋਊ ਇਹ ਅਚਰਜ ਹੈ ਰੀਤਿ ॥੧॥ ant kaal sangee neh koaoo ih acharaj hai reet |1| But at the very last moment, none shall go along with you. How strange are the ways of the world! ||1|| - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਮਨ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਜਹੂ ਨਹ ਸਮਝਤ ਸਿਖ ਦੈ ਹਾਰਿਓ ਨੀਤ ॥ man moorakh ajahoo neh samajhat sikh dai haario neet | The foolish mind has not yet reformed itself, although I have grown weary of continually instructing it. - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੈ ਜਉ ਗਾਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਗੀਤ ॥੨॥੩॥੬॥੩੮॥੪੭॥ naanak bhaujal paar parai jau gaavai prabh ke geet |2|3|6|38|47| O Nanak, one crosses over the terrifying world-ocean, singing the Songs of God. ||2||3||6||38||47|| - Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
