ਸੇਵਕ ਜਨ ਬਨੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੇ ॥ sevak jan bane tthaakur liv laage | Those who become the humble servants of the Lord and Master, lovingly focus their minds on Him. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੋ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਜਸੁ ਕਹਤੇ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਮੁਖ ਭਾਗ ਸਭਾਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jo tumaraa jas kahate guramat tin mukh bhaag sabhaage |1| rahaau | Those who chant Your Praises, through the Guru’s Teachings, have great good fortune recorded upon their foreheads. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਟੂਟੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਫਾਹੇ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੇ ॥ ttootte maaeaa ke bandhan faahe har raam naam liv laage | The bonds and shackles of Maya are shattered, by lovingly focusing their minds on the Name of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਮਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਮੋਹਿਓ ਗੁਰ ਮੋਹਨਿ ਹਮ ਬਿਸਮ ਭਈ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਗੇ ॥੧॥ hamaraa man mohio gur mohan ham bisam bhee mukh laage |1| My mind is enticed by the Guru, the Enticer; beholding Him, I am wonder-struck. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਗਲੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਸੋਈ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਕਿੰਚਤ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਾਗੇ ॥ sagalee rain soee andhiaaree gur kinchat kirapaa jaage | I slept through the entire dark night of my life, but through the tiniest bit of the Guru’s Grace, I have been awakened. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੋਹਿ ਤੁਮ ਸਰਿ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੇ ॥੨॥੧॥ jan naanak ke prabh sundar suaamee mohi tum sar avar na laage |2|1| O Beautiful Lord God, Master of servant Nanak, there is none comparable to You. ||2||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਬਤਾਵਹੁ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਹਮ ਪੀਛੈ ਲਾਗਿ ਚਲੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ har ke sant bataavahu maarag ham peechhai laag chalee |1| rahaau | O Saints of the Lord, show me the Way, and I shall follow. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਕੇ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਖਾਨੇ ਹੀਅਰੈ ਇਹ ਚਾਲ ਬਨੀ ਹੈ ਭਲੀ ॥ pria ke bachan sukhaane heearai ih chaal banee hai bhalee | I cherish in my heart the Words of my Beloved; this is the best way. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਲਟੁਰੀ ਮਧੁਰੀ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭਾਈ ਓਹ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਢੁਲਿ ਮਿਲੀ ॥੧॥ latturee madhuree tthaakur bhaaee oeh sundar har dtul milee |1| The bride may be hunch-backed and short, but if she is loved by her Lord Master, she becomes beautiful, and she melts in the Lord’s embrace. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਏਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਸਖੀਆ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਕੀ ਜੋ ਭਾਵੈ ਪਿਰ ਸਾ ਭਲੀ ॥ eko priau sakheea sabh pria kee jo bhaavai pir saa bhalee | There is only the One Beloved - we are all soul-brides of our Husband Lord. She who is pleasing to her Husband Lord is good. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗਰੀਬੁ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੈ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਤੁ ਰਾਹਿ ਚਲੀ ॥੨॥੨॥ naanak gareeb kiaa karai bichaaraa har bhaavai tith raeh chalee |2|2| What can poor, helpless Nanak do? As it pleases the Lord, so does he walk. ||2||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲੈ ਰਾਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭੀਨੀ ਚੋਲੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ guramukh rang chaloolai raatee har prem bheenee choleeai |1| rahaau | The Gurmukh is imbued with the deep red color of the poppy. His shawl is saturated with the Lord’s Love. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਉ ਫਿਰਉ ਦਿਵਾਨੀ ਆਵਲ ਬਾਵਲ ਤਿਸੁ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਹਰਿ ਢੋਲੀਐ ॥ hau firau divaanee aaval baaval tis kaaran har dtoleeai | I wander around here and there, like a madman, bewildered, seeking out my Darling Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕੋਈ ਮੇਲੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹਮ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਗੁਲ ਗੋਲੀਐ ॥੧॥ koee melai meraa preetam piaaraa ham tis kee gul goleeai |1| I shall be the slave of the slave of whoever unites me with my Darling Beloved. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਨਾਵਹੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀ ਝੋਲੀਐ ॥ satigur purakh manaavahu apunaa har amrit pee jholeeai | So align yourself with the Almighty True Guru; drink in and savor the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਧਾ ਦੇਹ ਟੋਲੀਐ ॥੨॥੩॥ gur prasaad jan naanak paaeaa har laadhaa deh ttoleeai |2|3| By Guru’s Grace, servant Nanak has obtained the wealth of the Lord within. ||2||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਜਬ ਹਮ ਸਰਣਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕੀ ਆਈ ਰਾਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭਾਵੈ ਮਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jab ham saran prabhoo kee aaee raakh prabhoo bhaavai maar |1| rahaau | Now that I have come seeking Your Sanctuary, God, please, either save me, or kill me. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
