ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੇਲੇ ਜਿਨੑ ਵਚਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥ jaa har prabh bhaavai taa guramukh mele jina vachan guroo satigur man bhaaeaa | When it pleases the Lord God, he causes us to meet the Gurmukhs; the Hymns of the Guru, the True Guru, are very sweet to their minds. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਿਰਬਾਣ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥ vaddabhaagee gur ke sikh piaare har nirabaanee nirabaan pad paaeaa |2| Very fortunate are the beloved Sikhs of the Guru; through the Lord, they attain the supreme state of Nirvaanaa. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥ satasangat gur kee har piaaree jin har har naam meetthaa man bhaaeaa | The Sat Sangat, the True Congregation of the Guru, is loved by the Lord. The Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is sweet and pleasing to their minds. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਪਾਪੀ ਜਮਿ ਖਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ jin satigur sangat sang na paaeaa se bhaagaheen paapee jam khaaeaa |3| One who does not obtain the Association of the True Guru, is a most unfortunate sinner; he is consumed by the Messenger of Death. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਪਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਾਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥ aap kripaal kripaa prabh dhaare har aape guramukh milai milaaeaa | If God, the Kind Master, Himself shows His kindness, then the Lord causes the Gurmukh to merge into Himself. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੫॥ jan naanak bole gun baanee gurabaanee har naam samaaeaa |4|5| Servant Nanak chants the Glorious Words of the Guru’s Bani; through them, one is absorbed into the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||5|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕਰਿ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਵੈ ॥ jin satigur purakh jin har prabh paaeaa mo kau kar upades har meetth lagaavai | One who has found the Lord God through the True Guru, has made the Lord seem so sweet to me, through the His Teachings. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਭ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥੧॥ man tan seetal sabh hariaa hoaa vaddabhaagee har naam dhiaavai |1| My mind and body have been cooled and soothed, and totally rejuvenated; by great good fortune, I meditate on the Name of the Lord. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕੋਈ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ॥ bhaaee re mo kau koee aae milai har naam drirraavai | O Siblings of Destiny, let anyone who can implant the Lord’s Name within me, come and meet with me. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਦੇਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ mere preetam praan man tan sabh devaa mere har prabh kee har kathaa sunaavai |1| rahaau | Unto my Beloved, I give my mind and body, and my very breath of life. He speaks to me of the sermon of my Lord God. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਧੀਰਜੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥ dheeraj dharam guramat har paaeaa nit har naamai har siau chit laavai | Through the Guru’s Teachings, I have obtained courage, faith and the Lord. He keeps my mind focused continually on the Lord, and the Name of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਚਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜੋ ਬੋਲੈ ਸੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥ amrit bachan satigur kee baanee jo bolai so mukh amrit paavai |2| The Words of the True Guru’s Teachings are Ambrosial Nectar; this Amrit trickles into the mouth of the one who chants them. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵੈ ॥ niramal naam jit mail na laagai guramat naam japai liv laavai | Immaculate is the Naam, which cannot be stained by filth. Through the Guru’s Teachings, chant the Naam with love. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜਿਨ ਨਰ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਮੁਏ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੩॥ naam padaarath jin nar nahee paaeaa se bhaagaheen mue mar jaavai |3| That man who has not found the wealth of the Naam is most unfortunate; he dies over and over again. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਆਨਦ ਮੂਲੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥ aanad mool jagajeevan daataa sabh jan kau anad karahu har dhiaavai | The source of bliss, the Life of the world, the Great Giver brings bliss to all who meditate on the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਅ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੬॥ toon daataa jeea sabh tere jan naanak guramukh bakhas milaavai |4|6| You are the Great Giver, all beings belong to You. O servant Nanak, You forgive the Gurmukhs, and merge them into Yourself. ||4||6|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਮਾਈ ਬਾਪ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਕੀਏ ॥ maaee baap putr sabh har ke kee | Mother, father and sons are all made by the Lord; - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਭਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਨਬੰਧੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਏ ॥੧॥ sabhanaa kau sanabandh har kar dee |1| the relationships of all are established by the Lord. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਮਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ਸਭੁ ਰਹਿਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੀਰ ॥ hamaraa jor sabh rahio mere beer | I have given up all my strength, O my brother. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਸਰੀਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ har kaa tan man sabh har kai vas hai sareer |1| rahaau | The mind and body belong to the Lord, and the human body is entirely under His control. ||1||Pause|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਰਧਾ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਈ ॥ bhagat janaa kau saradhaa aap har laaee | The Lord Himself infuses devotion into His humble devotees. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਵਿਚੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਸਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਰਹਾਈ ॥੨॥ viche grisat udaas rahaaee |2| In the midst of family life, they remain unattached. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਬ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥ jab antar preet har siau ban aaee | When inner love is established with the Lord, - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤਬ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥੩॥ tab jo kichh kare su mere har prabh bhaaee |3| then whatever one does, is pleasing to my Lord God. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਤੁ ਕਾਰੈ ਕੰਮਿ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਏ ॥ jit kaarai kam ham har laae | I do those deeds and tasks which the Lord has set me to; - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੋ ਹਮ ਕਰਹ ਜੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ॥੪॥ so ham karah ju aap karaae |4| I do that which He makes me to do. ||4|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਨ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥ jin kee bhagat mere prabh bhaaee | Those whose devotional worship is pleasing to my God - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੫॥੧॥੭॥੧੬॥ te jan naanak raam naam liv laaee |5|1|7|16|
