ਵਡਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਆਦਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥ vaddaa meraa govind agam agochar aad niranjan nirankaar jeeo | My Lord of the Universe is great, unapproachable, unfathomable, primal, immaculate and formless. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਅਮਿਤਿ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰ ਜੀਉ ॥ taa kee gat kahee na jaaee amit vaddiaaee meraa govind alakh apaar jeeo | His condition cannot be described; His Glorious Greatness is immeasurable. My Lord of the Universe is invisible and infinite. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਆਪੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਾਣੈ ॥ govind alakh apaar aparanpar aap aapanaa jaanai | The Lord of the Universe is invisible, infinite and unlimited. He Himself knows Himself. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕਿਆ ਇਹ ਜੰਤ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਆਖਿ ਵਖਾਣੈ ॥ kiaa ih jant vichaare kaheeeh jo tudh aakh vakhaanai | What should these poor creatures say? How can they speak of and describe You? - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਅਪਣੀ ਸੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥ jis no nadar kareh toon apanee so guramukh kare veechaar jeeo | That Gurmukh who is blessed by Your Glance of Grace contemplates You. - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਤੂੰ ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਾਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥ toon aad purakh aparanpar karataa teraa paar na paaeaa jaae jeeo | You, O Lord, O Primal Being, are the Limitless Creator; Your limits cannot be found. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੂੰ ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥ toon ghatt ghatt antar sarab nirantar sabh meh rahiaa samaae jeeo | You are pervading and permeating each and every heart, everywhere, You are contained in all. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ghatt antar paarabraham paramesar taa kaa ant na paaeaa | Within the heart is the Transcendent, Supreme Lord God, whose limits cannot be found. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤਿਸੁ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰੇਖ ਅਦਿਸਟੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਇਆ ॥ tis roop na rekh adisatt agochar guramukh alakh lakhaaeaa | He has no form or shape; He is unseen and unknown. The Gurmukh sees the unseen Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦਿ ਰਹੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਹਜੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥ sadaa anand rahai din raatee sahaje naam samaae jeeo | He remains in continual ecstasy, day and night, and is spontaneously absorbed into the Naam. - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੋ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸੁਜਾਨੁ ਜੀਉ ॥ har har prabh eko avar na koee toon aape purakh sujaan jeeo | The Lord God, Har, Har, is the One and only; there is no other at all. You Yourself are the all-knowing Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸੁਜਾਨੁ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਧਾਨੁ ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥ purakh sujaan toon paradhaan tudh jevadd avar na koee | You are the all-knowing Lord, the most exalted and auspicious; there is no other as great as You. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੇਰਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਭੁ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਵਰਤਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੁ ਹੋਈ ॥ teraa sabad sabh toonhai varateh toon aape kareh su hoee | The Word of Your Shabad is pervading in all; whatever You do, comes to pass. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਏਕੋ ਸੋਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲਖਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਉ ॥ har sabh meh raviaa eko soee guramukh lakhiaa har naam jeeo | The One Lord God is permeating all; the Gurmukh comes to understand the Lord’s Name. - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪੇ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਚਲਾਵਹਿ ਸਭ ਤੇਰੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥ tudh aape bhaavai tivai chalaaveh sabh terai sabad samaae jeeo | As it pleases Your Will, so do we act. All are merged into Your Shabad. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਭ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਜਾਂ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤੇਰੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ sabh sabad samaavai jaan tudh bhaavai terai sabad vaddiaaee | When it pleases Your Will, we obtain greatness through Your Shabad. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਈਐ ਸਬਦੇ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਈ ॥ guramukh budh paaeeai aap gavaaeeai sabade rahiaa samaaee | The Gurmukh obtains wisdom, and eliminates his self-conceit, and remains absorbed in the Shabad. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੇਰਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥ teraa sabad agochar guramukh paaeeai naanak naam samaae jeeo | The Gurmukh obtains Your incomprehensible Shabad; O Nanak, he remains merged in the Naam. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਭੁ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਚਲਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੭॥੧੪॥ sabh toonhai karataa sabh teree vaddiaaee jiau bhaavai tivai chalaae jeeo |4|7|14| You are the Creator of all, and all greatness is Yours. As it pleases Your Will, so do we act. ||4||7||14|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਭਿੰਨੇ ਲੋਇਣਾ ਮਨੁ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਰਤੰਨਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ ॥ har amrit bhine loeinaa man prem ratanaa raam raaje | My eyes are wet with the Nectar of the Lord, and my mind is imbued with His Love, O Lord King. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਮਨੁ ਰਾਮਿ ਕਸਵਟੀ ਲਾਇਆ ਕੰਚਨੁ ਸੋਵਿੰਨਾ ॥ man raam kasavattee laaeaa kanchan sovinaa | The Lord applied His touch-stone to my mind, and found it one hundred per cent gold. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲਿਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੋ ਭਿੰਨਾ ॥ guramukh rang chalooliaa meraa man tano bhinaa | As Gurmukh, I am dyed in the deep red of the poppy, and my mind and body are drenched with His Love. - Guru Ramdas Ji
