ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਘਟ ਮਹਿ ਦੂਜੀ ਆਨ ॥ jab lag ghatt meh doojee aan | Know that as long as you place your hopes in others, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਉ ਲਉ ਮਹਲਿ ਨ ਲਾਭੈ ਜਾਨ ॥ tau lau mehal na laabhai jaan | you shall not find the Mansion of the Lord’s Presence. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਰਮਤ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਰੰਗੁ ॥ ramat raam siau laago rang | When you embrace love for the Lord, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਤਬ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਅੰਗ ॥੮॥੧॥ keh kabeer tab niramal ang |8|1| says Kabeer, then, you shall become pure in your very fiber. ||8||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਦੇਵਾ ਪਾਹਨ ਤਾਰੀਅਲੇ ॥ devaa paahan taareeale | God makes even stones float. - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਰਾਮ ਕਹਤ ਜਨ ਕਸ ਨ ਤਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ raam kehat jan kas na tare |1| rahaau | So why shouldn’t Your humble slave also float across, chanting Your Name, O Lord? ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਤਾਰੀਲੇ ਗਨਿਕਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਰੂਪ ਕੁਬਿਜਾ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਅਜਾਮਲੁ ਤਾਰੀਅਲੇ ॥ taareele ganikaa bin roop kubijaa biaadh ajaamal taareeale | You saved the prostitute, and the ugly hunch-back; You helped the hunter and Ajaamal swim across as well. - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਚਰਨ ਬਧਿਕ ਜਨ ਤੇਊ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭਏ ॥ charan badhik jan teaoo mukat bhe | The hunter who shot Krishna in the foot - even he was liberated. - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਿਨ ਰਾਮ ਕਹੇ ॥੧॥ hau bal bal jin raam kahe |1| I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to those who chant the Lord’s Name. ||1|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਦਾਸੀ ਸੁਤ ਜਨੁ ਬਿਦਰੁ ਸੁਦਾਮਾ ਉਗ੍ਰਸੈਨ ਕਉ ਰਾਜ ਦੀਏ ॥ daasee sut jan bidar sudaamaa ugrasain kau raaj dee | You saved Bidur, the son of the slave-girl, and Sudama; You restored Ugrasain to his throne. - Bhagat Namdev Ji
ਜਪ ਹੀਨ ਤਪ ਹੀਨ ਕੁਲ ਹੀਨ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਹੀਨ ਨਾਮੇ ਕੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇਊ ਤਰੇ ॥੨॥੧॥ jap heen tap heen kul heen kram heen naame ke suaamee teaoo tare |2|1| Without meditation, without penance, without a good family, without good deeds, Naam Dayv’s Lord and Master saved them all. ||2||1|| - Bhagat Namdev Ji

ਬੇਗਮ ਪੁਰਾ ਸਹਰ ਕੋ ਨਾਉ ॥ begam puraa sehar ko naau | Baygumpura, ‘the city without sorrow’, is the name of the town. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਦੂਖੁ ਅੰਦੋਹੁ ਨਹੀ ਤਿਹਿ ਠਾਉ ॥ dookh andohu nahee tihi tthaau | There is no suffering or anxiety there. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਨਾਂ ਤਸਵੀਸ ਖਿਰਾਜੁ ਨ ਮਾਲੁ ॥ naan tasavees khiraaj na maal | There are no troubles or taxes on commodities there. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਖਉਫੁ ਨ ਖਤਾ ਨ ਤਰਸੁ ਜਵਾਲੁ ॥੧॥ khauf na khataa na taras javaal |1| There is no fear, blemish or downfall there. ||1|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਖੂਬ ਵਤਨ ਗਹ ਪਾਈ ॥ ab mohi khoob vatan geh paaee | Now, I have found this most excellent city. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਊਹਾਂ ਖੈਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ aoohaan khair sadaa mere bhaaee |1| rahaau | There is lasting peace and safety there, O Siblings of Destiny. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਕਾਇਮੁ ਦਾਇਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ॥ kaaeim daaeim sadaa paatisaahee | God’s Kingdom is steady, stable and eternal. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਦੋਮ ਨ ਸੇਮ ਏਕ ਸੋ ਆਹੀ ॥ dom na sem ek so aahee | There is no second or third status; all are equal there. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਆਬਾਦਾਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਮਸਹੂਰ ॥ aabaadaan sadaa masahoor | That city is populous and eternally famous. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਊਹਾਂ ਗਨੀ ਬਸਹਿ ਮਾਮੂਰ ॥੨॥ aoohaan ganee baseh maamoor |2| Those who live there are wealthy and contented. ||2|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਤਿਉ ਤਿਉ ਸੈਲ ਕਰਹਿ ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ॥ tiau tiau sail kareh jiau bhaavai | They stroll about freely, just as they please. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਮਹਰਮ ਮਹਲ ਨ ਕੋ ਅਟਕਾਵੈ ॥ maharam mehal na ko attakaavai | They know the Mansion of the Lord’s Presence, and no one blocks their way. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਖਲਾਸ ਚਮਾਰਾ ॥ keh ravidaas khalaas chamaaraa | Says Ravi Daas, the emancipated shoe-maker: - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
ਜੋ ਹਮ ਸਹਰੀ ਸੁ ਮੀਤੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥੩॥੨॥ jo ham saharee su meet hamaaraa |3|2| whoever is a citizen there, is a friend of mine. ||3||2|| - Bhagat Ravidas Ji

ਘਟ ਅਵਘਟ ਡੂਗਰ ਘਣਾ ਇਕੁ ਨਿਰਗੁਣੁ ਬੈਲੁ ਹਮਾਰ ॥ ghatt avaghatt ddoogar ghanaa ik niragun bail hamaar | The path to God is very treacherous and mountainous, and all I have is this worthless ox. - Bhagat Ravidas Ji
