ਬੰਦਕ ਹੋਇ ਬੰਧ ਸੁਧਿ ਲਹੈ ॥੨੯॥ bandak hoe bandh sudh lahai |29| If you turn your thoughts to the Lord, the Lord will take care of you like a relative. ||29|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਭਭਾ ਭੇਦਹਿ ਭੇਦ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ॥ bhabhaa bhedeh bhed milaavaa | BHABHA: When doubt is pierced, union is achieved. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਬ ਭਉ ਭਾਨਿ ਭਰੋਸਉ ਆਵਾ ॥ ab bhau bhaan bharosau aavaa | I have shattered my fear, and now I have come to have faith. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜੋ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸੋ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥ jo baahar so bheetar jaaniaa | I thought that He was outside of me, but now I know that He is within me. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਭਇਆ ਭੇਦੁ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਿਆ ॥੩੦॥ bheaa bhed bhoopat pahichaaniaa |30| When I came to understand this mystery, then I recognized the Lord. ||30|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਮਾ ਮੂਲ ਗਹਿਆ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨੈ ॥ mamaa mool gahiaa man maanai | MAMMA: Clinging to the source, the mind is satisfied. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਰਮੀ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਜਾਨੈ ॥ maramee hoe su man kau jaanai | One who knows this mystery understands his own mind. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਤ ਕੋਈ ਮਨ ਮਿਲਤਾ ਬਿਲਮਾਵੈ ॥ mat koee man milataa bilamaavai | Let no one delay in uniting his mind. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਗਨ ਭਇਆ ਤੇ ਸੋ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੩੧॥ magan bheaa te so sach paavai |31| Those who obtain the True Lord are immersed in delight. ||31|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਮਾ ਮਨ ਸਿਉ ਕਾਜੁ ਹੈ ਮਨ ਸਾਧੇ ਸਿਧਿ ਹੋਇ ॥ mamaa man siau kaaj hai man saadhe sidh hoe | MAMMA: The mortal’s business is with his own mind; one who disciplines his mind attains perfection. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਨ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਸਿਉ ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰਾ ਮਨ ਸਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੩੨॥ man hee man siau kahai kabeeraa man saa miliaa na koe |32| Only the mind can deal with the mind; says Kabeer, I have not met anything like the mind. ||32|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਕਤੀ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਉ ॥ eihu man sakatee ihu man seeo | This mind is Shakti; this mind is Shiva. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਪੰਚ ਤਤ ਕੋ ਜੀਉ ॥ eihu man panch tat ko jeeo | This mind is the life of the five elements. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਲੇ ਜਉ ਉਨਮਨਿ ਰਹੈ ॥ eihu man le jau unaman rahai | When this mind is channeled, and guided to enlightenment, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਉ ਤੀਨਿ ਲੋਕ ਕੀ ਬਾਤੈ ਕਹੈ ॥੩੩॥ tau teen lok kee baatai kahai |33| it can describe the secrets of the three worlds. ||33|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਯਯਾ ਜਉ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਤਉ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਬਸਿ ਕਾਇਆ ਗਾਉ ॥ yayaa jau jaaneh tau duramat han kar bas kaaeaa gaau | YAYYA: If you know anything, then destroy your evil-mindedness, and subjugate the body-village. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਰਣਿ ਰੂਤਉ ਭਾਜੈ ਨਹੀ ਸੂਰਉ ਥਾਰਉ ਨਾਉ ॥੩੪॥ ran rootau bhaajai nahee soorau thaarau naau |34| When you are engaged in the battle, don’t run away; then, you shall be known as a spiritual hero. ||34|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਰਾਰਾ ਰਸੁ ਨਿਰਸ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥ raaraa ras niras kar jaaniaa | RARRA: I have found tastes to be tasteless. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹੋਇ ਨਿਰਸ ਸੁ ਰਸੁ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਿਆ ॥ hoe niras su ras pahichaaniaa | Becoming tasteless, I have realized that taste. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਹ ਰਸ ਛਾਡੇ ਉਹ ਰਸੁ ਆਵਾ ॥ eih ras chhaadde uh ras aavaa | Abandoning these tastes, I have found that taste. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਉਹ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਆ ਇਹ ਰਸੁ ਨਹੀ ਭਾਵਾ ॥੩੫॥ auh ras peea ih ras nahee bhaavaa |35| Drinking in that taste, this taste is no longer pleasing. ||35|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਲਲਾ ਐਸੇ ਲਿਵ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥ lalaa aise liv man laavai | LALLA: Embrace such love for the Lord in your mind, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਨਤ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਪਰਮ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥ anat na jaae param sach paavai | that you shall not have to go to any other; you shall attain the supreme truth. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਰੁ ਜਉ ਤਹਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵੈ ॥ ar jau tahaa prem liv laavai | And if you embrace love and affection for Him there, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਉ ਅਲਹ ਲਹੈ ਲਹਿ ਚਰਨ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥੩੬॥ tau alah lahai leh charan samaavai |36| then you shall obtain the Lord; obtaining Him, you shall be absorbed in His Feet. ||36|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਵਵਾ ਬਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਬਿਸਨ ਸਮ੍ਹਾਰਿ ॥ vavaa baar baar bisan samhaar | WAWA: Time and time again, dwell upon the Lord. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਬਿਸਨ ਸੰਮ੍ਹਾਰਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਹਾਰਿ ॥ bisan samhaar na aavai haar | Dwelling upon the Lord, defeat shall not come to you. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜੇ ਬਿਸਨਤਨਾ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵੈ ॥ bal bal je bisanatanaa jas gaavai | I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to those, who sing the praises of the Saints, the sons of the Lord. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਵਿਸਨ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੩੭॥ visan mile sabh hee sach paavai |37| Meeting the Lord, total Truth is obtained. ||37|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਵਾਵਾ ਵਾਹੀ ਜਾਨੀਐ ਵਾ ਜਾਨੇ ਇਹੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ vaavaa vaahee jaaneeai vaa jaane ihu hoe | WAWA: Know Him. By knowing Him, this mortal becomes Him. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਹੁ ਅਰੁ ਓਹੁ ਜਬ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਬ ਮਿਲਤ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੩੮॥ eihu ar ohu jab milai tab milat na jaanai koe |38| When this soul and that Lord are blended, then, having been blended, they cannot be known separately. ||38|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਸਾ ਸੋ ਨੀਕਾ ਕਰਿ ਸੋਧਹੁ ॥ sasaa so neekaa kar sodhahu | SASSA: Discipline your mind with sublime perfection. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਘਟ ਪਰਚਾ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਨਿਰੋਧਹੁ ॥ ghatt parachaa kee baat nirodhahu | Refrain from that talk which attracts the heart. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਘਟ ਪਰਚੈ ਜਉ ਉਪਜੈ ਭਾਉ ॥ ghatt parachai jau upajai bhaau | The heart is attracted, when love wells up. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਤਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਰਾਉ ॥੩੯॥ poor rahiaa teh tribhavan raau |39| The King of the three worlds is perfectly pervading and permeating there. ||39|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਖਖਾ ਖੋਜਿ ਪਰੈ ਜਉ ਕੋਈ ॥ khakhaa khoj parai jau koee | KHAKHA: Anyone who seeks Him, and by seeking Him, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜੋ ਖੋਜੈ ਸੋ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥ jo khojai so bahur na hoee | finds Him, shall not be born again. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਖੋਜ ਬੂਝਿ ਜਉ ਕਰੈ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥ khoj boojh jau karai beechaaraa | When someone seeks Him, and comes to understand and contemplate Him, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਉ ਭਵਜਲ ਤਰਤ ਨ ਲਾਵੈ ਬਾਰਾ ॥੪੦॥ tau bhavajal tarat na laavai baaraa |40| then he crosses over the terrifying world-ocean in an instant. ||40|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਸਾ ਸੋ ਸਹ ਸੇਜ ਸਵਾਰੈ ॥ sasaa so seh sej savaarai | SASSA: The bed of the soul-bride is adorned by her Husband Lord; - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋਈ ਸਹੀ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ॥ soee sahee sandeh nivaarai | her skepticism is dispelled. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਲਪ ਸੁਖ ਛਾਡਿ ਪਰਮ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵਾ ॥ alap sukh chhaadd param sukh paavaa | Renouncing the shallow pleasures of the world, she obtains the supreme delight. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਬ ਇਹ ਤ੍ਰੀਅ ਓੁਹੁ ਕੰਤੁ ਕਹਾਵਾ ॥੪੧॥ tab ih treea ouhu kant kahaavaa |41| Then, she is the soul-bride; He is called her Husband Lord. ||41|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹਾਹਾ ਹੋਤ ਹੋਇ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨਾ ॥ haahaa hot hoe nahee jaanaa | HAHA: He exists, but He is not known to exist. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਬ ਹੀ ਹੋਇ ਤਬਹਿ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਾ ॥ jab hee hoe tabeh man maanaa | When He is known to exist, then the mind is pleased and appeased. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹੈ ਤਉ ਸਹੀ ਲਖੈ ਜਉ ਕੋਈ ॥ hai tau sahee lakhai jau koee | Of course the Lord exists, if one could only understand Him. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਬ ਓਹੀ ਉਹੁ ਏਹੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੪੨॥ tab ohee uhu ehu na hoee |42| Then, He alone exists, and not this mortal being. ||42|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਲਿੰਉ ਲਿੰਉ ਕਰਤ ਫਿਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਲੋਗੁ ॥ linau linau karat firai sabh log | Everyone goes around saying, I’ll take this, and I’ll take that. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਾ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਬਹੁ ਸੋਗੁ ॥ taa kaaran biaapai bahu sog | Because of that, they suffer in terrible pain. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਲਖਿਮੀ ਬਰ ਸਿਉ ਜਉ ਲਿਉ ਲਾਵੈ ॥ lakhimee bar siau jau liau laavai | When someone comes to love the Lord of Lakhshmi, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋਗੁ ਮਿਟੈ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੪੩॥ sog mittai sabh hee sukh paavai |43| his sorrow departs, and he obtains total peace. ||43|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਖਖਾ ਖਿਰਤ ਖਪਤ ਗਏ ਕੇਤੇ ॥ khakhaa khirat khapat ge kete | KHAKHA: Many have wasted their lives, and then perished. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਖਿਰਤ ਖਪਤ ਅਜਹੂੰ ਨਹ ਚੇਤੇ ॥ khirat khapat ajahoon neh chete | Wasting away, they do not remember the Lord, even now. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਬ ਜਗੁ ਜਾਨਿ ਜਉ ਮਨਾ ਰਹੈ ॥ ab jag jaan jau manaa rahai | But if someone, even now, comes to know the transitory nature of the world and restrain his mind, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਹ ਕਾ ਬਿਛੁਰਾ ਤਹ ਥਿਰੁ ਲਹੈ ॥੪੪॥ jeh kaa bichhuraa teh thir lahai |44| he shall find his permanent home, from which he was separated. ||44|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
