ਝੂਠਾ ਪਰਪੰਚੁ ਜੋਰਿ ਚਲਾਇਆ ॥੨॥ jhootthaa parapanch jor chalaaeaa |2| By Your Power, You have set this false contrivance in motion. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਿਨਹੂ ਲਾਖ ਪਾਂਚ ਕੀ ਜੋਰੀ ॥ kinahoo laakh paanch kee joree | Some collect hundreds of thousands of dollars, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅੰਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਰ ਗਗਰੀਆ ਫੋਰੀ ॥੩॥ ant kee baar gagareea foree |3| but in the end, the pitcher of the body bursts. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਇਕ ਨੀਵ ਉਸਾਰੀ ॥ keh kabeer ik neev usaaree | Says Kabeer, that single foundation which you have laid - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੧॥੯॥੬੦॥ khin meh binas jaae ahankaaree |4|1|9|60| will be destroyed in an instant - you are so egotistical. ||4||1||9||60|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਧ੍ਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦ ਜਪਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਜੈਸੇ ॥੧॥ dhraoo prahilaad japio har jaise |1| So should you meditate on the Lord, O my soul. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਤੇਰੇ ॥ deen deaal bharose tere | O Lord, Merciful to the meek, I have placed my faith in You; - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਜਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮਨਾਵੈ ॥ jaa tis bhaavai taa hukam manaavai | When it is pleasing to Him, then He inspires us to obey the Hukam of His Command. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਸ ਬੇੜੇ ਕਉ ਪਾਰਿ ਲਘਾਵੈ ॥੨॥ eis berre kau paar laghaavai |2| He causes this boat to cross over. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਐਸੀ ਬੁਧਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥ gur parasaad aisee budh samaanee | By Guru’s Grace, such understanding is infused into me; - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਚੂਕਿ ਗਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਵਨ ਜਾਨੀ ॥੩॥ chook gee fir aavan jaanee |3| my comings and goings in reincarnation have ended. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਭਜੁ ਸਾਰਿਗਪਾਨੀ ॥ kahu kabeer bhaj saarigapaanee | Says Kabeer, meditate, vibrate upon the Lord, the Sustainer of the earth. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਲਾਗਤ ਪਵਨ ਖਸਮੁ ਬਿਸਰਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ laagat pavan khasam bisaraaeo |1| as soon as the air touches him, he forgets his Lord and Master. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜੀਅਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਨਾ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jeearaa har ke gunaa gaau |1| rahaau | O my soul, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਗਰਭ ਜੋਨਿ ਮਹਿ ਉਰਧ ਤਪੁ ਕਰਤਾ ॥ garabh jon meh uradh tap karataa | You were upside-down, living in the womb; you generated the intense meditative heat of ‘tapas’. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਉ ਜਠਰ ਅਗਨਿ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਤਾ ॥੨॥ tau jatthar agan meh rahataa |2| Then, you escaped the fire of the belly. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਜੋਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਆਇਓ ॥ lakh chauraaseeh jon bhram aaeo | After wandering through 8.4 million incarnations, you came. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਬ ਕੇ ਛੁਟਕੇ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਠਾਇਓ ॥੩॥ ab ke chhuttake tthaur na tthaaeo |3| If you stumble and fall now, you shall find no home or place of rest. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਸੁਰਗ ਬਾਸੁ ਨ ਬਾਛੀਐ ਡਰੀਐ ਨ ਨਰਕਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥ surag baas na baachheeai ddareeai na narak nivaas | Don’t wish for a home in heaven, and don’t be afraid to live in hell. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹੋਨਾ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਮਨਹਿ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ਆਸ ॥੧॥ honaa hai so hoee hai maneh na keejai aas |1| Whatever will be will be, so don’t get your hopes up in your mind. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਕਿਆ ਜਪੁ ਕਿਆ ਤਪੁ ਸੰਜਮੋ ਕਿਆ ਬਰਤੁ ਕਿਆ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ॥ kiaa jap kiaa tap sanjamo kiaa barat kiaa isanaan | What good is chanting, penance or self-mortification? What good is fasting or cleansing baths, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਨ ਜਾਨੀਐ ਭਾਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੨॥ jab lag jugat na jaaneeai bhaau bhagat bhagavaan |2| unless you know the way to worship the Lord God with loving devotion? ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੰਪੈ ਦੇਖਿ ਨ ਹਰਖੀਐ ਬਿਪਤਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਨ ਰੋਇ ॥ sanpai dekh na harakheeai bipat dekh na roe | Don’t feel so delighted at the sight of wealth, and don’t weep at the sight of suffering and adversity. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਉ ਸੰਪੈ ਤਿਉ ਬਿਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਬਿਧ ਨੇ ਰਚਿਆ ਸੋ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥ jiau sanpai tiau bipat hai bidh ne rachiaa so hoe |3| As is wealth, so is adversity; whatever the Lord proposes, comes to pass. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਅਬ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਸੰਤਨ ਰਿਦੈ ਮਝਾਰਿ ॥ keh kabeer ab jaaniaa santan ridai majhaar | Says Kabeer, now I know that the Lord dwells within the hearts of His Saints; - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੇਵਕ ਸੋ ਸੇਵਾ ਭਲੇ ਜਿਹ ਘਟ ਬਸੈ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੨॥੬੩॥ sevak so sevaa bhale jih ghatt basai muraar |4|1|12|63| that servant performs the best service, whose heart is filled with the Lord. ||4||1||12||63|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਬਿਰਖ ਬਸੇਰੋ ਪੰਖਿ ਕੋ ਤੈਸੋ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ birakh basero pankh ko taiso ihu sansaar |1| This world is like the perch of the bird on the tree. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਰਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਆ ਰੇ ॥ raam ras peea re | I drink in the sublime essence of the Lord. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਹ ਰਸ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਗਏ ਰਸ ਅਉਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jih ras bisar ge ras aaur |1| rahaau | With the taste of this essence, I have forgotten all other tastes. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਉਰ ਮੁਏ ਕਿਆ ਰੋਈਐ ਜਉ ਆਪਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਨ ਰਹਾਇ ॥ aaur mue kiaa roeeai jau aapaa thir na rahaae | Why should we weep at the death of others, when we ourselves are not permanent? - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜੋ ਉਪਜੈ ਸੋ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਹੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਰਿ ਰੋਵੈ ਬਲਾਇ ॥੨॥ jo upajai so binas hai dukh kar rovai balaae |2| Whoever is born shall pass away; why should we cry out in grief? ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਹ ਕੀ ਉਪਜੀ ਤਹ ਰਚੀ ਪੀਵਤ ਮਰਦਨ ਲਾਗ ॥ jeh kee upajee teh rachee peevat maradan laag | We are re-absorbed into the One from whom we came; drink in the Lord’s essence, and remain attached to Him. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
