ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਬੂਡੀ ਪਵਨੁ ਝੁਲਾਵੈ ਡੋਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੩॥ deh dis booddee pavan jhulaavai ddor rahee liv laaee |3| The drowning person is blown around in the ten directions by the wind, but I hold tight to the string of the Lord’s Love. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਉਨਮਨਿ ਮਨੂਆ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਸਮਾਨਾ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਭਾਗੀ ॥ aunaman manooaa sun samaanaa dubidhaa duramat bhaagee | The disturbed mind has been absorbed in the Lord; duality and evil-mindedness have run away. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਅਨਭਉ ਇਕੁ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥੪॥੨॥੪੬॥ kahu kabeer anbhau ik dekhiaa raam naam liv laagee |4|2|46| Says Kabeer, I have seen the One Lord, the Fearless One; I am attuned to the Name of the Lord. ||4||2||46|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਗਉੜੀ ਬੈਰਾਗਣਿ ਤਿਪਦੇ₃ ॥ gaurree bairaagan tipade₃ | Gauree Bairaagan, Thi-Padhay: - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਉਲਟਤ ਪਵਨ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਖਟੁ ਭੇਦੇ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸੁੰਨ ਅਨਰਾਗੀ ॥ aulattat pavan chakr khatt bhede surat sun anaraagee | I turned my breath inwards, and pierced through the six chakras of the body, and my awareness was centered on the Primal Void of the Absolute Lord. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਆਵੈ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜੀਵੈ ਤਾਸੁ ਖੋਜੁ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥੧॥ aavai na jaae marai na jeevai taas khoj bairaagee |1| Search for the One who does not come or go, who does not die and is not born, O renunciate. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਉਲਟਿ ਸਮਾਨਾ ॥ mere man man hee ulatt samaanaa | My mind has turned away from the world, and is absorbed in the Mind of God. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਅਕਲਿ ਭਈ ਅਵਰੈ ਨਾਤਰੁ ਥਾ ਬੇਗਾਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ gur parasaad akal bhee avarai naatar thaa begaanaa |1| rahaau | By Guru’s Grace, my understanding has been changed; otherwise, I was totally ignorant. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਨਿਵਰੈ ਦੂਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਫੁਨਿ ਨਿਵਰੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਜੈਸਾ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥ nivarai door door fun nivarai jin jaisaa kar maaniaa | That which was near has become distant, and again, that which was distant is near, for those who realize the Lord as He is. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਅਲਉਤੀ ਕਾ ਜੈਸੇ ਭਇਆ ਬਰੇਡਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਪੀਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥੨॥ alautee kaa jaise bheaa bareddaa jin peea tin jaaniaa |2| It is like the sugar water made from the candy; only one who drinks it knows its taste. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਤੇਰੀ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਕਥਾ ਕਾਇ ਸਿਉ ਕਹੀਐ ਐਸਾ ਕੋਇ ਬਿਬੇਕੀ ॥ teree niragun kathaa kaae siau kaheeai aisaa koe bibekee | Unto whom should I speak Your speech, O Lord; it is beyond the three qualities. Is there anyone with such discerning wisdom? - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਜਿਨਿ ਦੀਆ ਪਲੀਤਾ ਤਿਨਿ ਤੈਸੀ ਝਲ ਦੇਖੀ ॥੩॥੩॥੪੭॥ kahu kabeer jin deea paleetaa tin taisee jhal dekhee |3|3|47| Says Kabeer, as is the fuse which you apply, so is the flash you will see. ||3||3||47|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਤਹ ਪਾਵਸ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਧੂਪ ਨਹੀ ਛਹੀਆ ਤਹ ਉਤਪਤਿ ਪਰਲਉ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ teh paavas sindh dhoop nahee chhaheea teh utapat parlau naahee | There is no rainy season, ocean, sunshine or shade, no creation or destruction there. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਰਤੁ ਨ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਸੁੰਨ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਦੋਊ ਤਹ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ jeevan mirat na dukh sukh biaapai sun samaadh doaoo teh naahee |1| No life or death, no pain or pleasure is felt there. There is only the Primal Trance of Samaadhi, and no duality. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਸਹਜ ਕੀ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਹੈ ਨਿਰਾਰੀ ॥ sehaj kee akath kathaa hai niraaree | The description of the state of intuitive poise is indescribable and sublime. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਤੁਲਿ ਨਹੀ ਚਢੈ ਜਾਇ ਨ ਮੁਕਾਤੀ ਹਲੁਕੀ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਭਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ tul nahee chadtai jaae na mukaatee halukee lagai na bhaaree |1| rahaau | It is not measured, and it is not exhausted. It is neither light nor heavy. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਅਰਧ ਉਰਧ ਦੋਊ ਤਹ ਨਾਹੀ ਰਾਤਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਤਹ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ aradh uradh doaoo teh naahee raat dinas teh naahee | Neither lower nor upper worlds are there; neither day nor night are there. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਜਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਵਨੁ ਪਾਵਕੁ ਫੁਨਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤਹਾ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥੨॥ jal nahee pavan paavak fun naahee satigur tahaa samaahee |2| There is no water, wind or fire; there, the True Guru is contained. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਰਹੈ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਲਹੀਐ ॥ agam agochar rahai nirantar gur kirapaa te laheeai | The Inaccessible and Unfathomable Lord dwells there within Himself; by Guru’s Grace, He is found. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੀਐ ॥੩॥੪॥੪੮॥ kahu kabeer bal jaau gur apune satasangat mil raheeai |3|4|48| Says Kabeer, I am a sacrifice to my Guru; I remain in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||3||4||48|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਬੈਲ ਬਿਸਾਹੇ ਪਵਨੁ ਪੂਜੀ ਪਰਗਾਸਿਓ ॥ paap pun due bail bisaahe pavan poojee paragaasio | With both sin and virtue, the ox of the body is purchased; the air of the breath is the capital which has appeared. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਗੂਣਿ ਭਰੀ ਘਟ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਟਾਂਡ ਬਿਸਾਹਿਓ ॥੧॥ trisanaa goon bharee ghatt bheetar in bidh ttaandd bisaahio |1| The bag on its back is filled with desire; this is how we purchase the herd. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਐਸਾ ਨਾਇਕੁ ਰਾਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥ aisaa naaeik raam hamaaraa | My Lord is such a wealthy merchant! - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਸਗਲ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਕੀਓ ਬਨਜਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ sagal sansaar keeo banajaaraa |1| rahaau | He has made the whole world his peddler. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਏ ਜਗਾਤੀ ਮਨ ਤਰੰਗ ਬਟਵਾਰਾ ॥ kaam krodh due bhe jagaatee man tarang battavaaraa | Sexual desire and anger are the tax-collectors, and the waves of the mind are the highway robbers. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਪੰਚ ਤਤੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਨਿਬੇਰਹਿ ਟਾਂਡਾ ਉਤਰਿਓ ਪਾਰਾ ॥੨॥ panch tat mil daan nibereh ttaanddaa utario paaraa |2| The five elements join together and divide up their loot. This is how our herd is disposed of! ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰੇ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਅਬ ਐਸੀ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥ kehat kabeer sunahu re santahu ab aisee ban aaee | Says Kabeer, listen, O Saints: This is the state of affairs now! - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਘਾਟੀ ਚਢਤ ਬੈਲੁ ਇਕੁ ਥਾਕਾ ਚਲੋ ਗੋਨਿ ਛਿਟਕਾਈ ॥੩॥੫॥੪੯॥ ghaattee chadtat bail ik thaakaa chalo gon chhittakaaee |3|5|49| Going uphill, the ox has grown weary; throwing off his load, he continues on his journey. ||3||5||49|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਪੇਵਕੜੈ ਦਿਨ ਚਾਰਿ ਹੈ ਸਾਹੁਰੜੈ ਜਾਣਾ ॥ pevakarrai din chaar hai saahurarrai jaanaa | For a few short days, the soul-bride stays in her parent’s house; then, she must go to her in-laws. - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਅੰਧਾ ਲੋਕੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਈ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਏਆਣਾ ॥੧॥ andhaa lok na jaanee moorakh eaanaa |1| The blind, foolish and ignorant people do not know this. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਕਹੁ ਡਡੀਆ ਬਾਧੈ ਧਨ ਖੜੀ ॥ kahu ddaddeea baadhai dhan kharree | Tell me, why is the bride wearing her ordinary clothes? - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਪਾਹੂ ਘਰਿ ਆਏ ਮੁਕਲਾਊ ਆਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ paahoo ghar aae mukalaaoo aae |1| rahaau | The guests have arrived at her home, and her Husband has come to take her away. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਓਹ ਜਿ ਦਿਸੈ ਖੂਹੜੀ ਕਉਨ ਲਾਜੁ ਵਹਾਰੀ ॥ oeh ji disai khooharree kaun laaj vahaaree | Who has lowered the rope of the breath down, into the well of the world which we see? - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਲਾਜੁ ਘੜੀ ਸਿਉ ਤੂਟਿ ਪੜੀ ਉਠਿ ਚਲੀ ਪਨਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੨॥ laaj gharree siau toott parree utth chalee panihaaree |2| The rope of the breath breaks away from the pitcher of the body, and the water-carrier gets up and departs. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥ saahib hoe deaal kripaa kare apunaa kaaraj savaare | When the Lord and Master is kind and grants His Grace, then her affairs are all resolved. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
