ਜਬ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ jab na hoe raam naam adhaaraa |1| rahaau | I have not taken the Lord’s Name as my Support. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਖੋਜਉ ਅਸਮਾਨ ॥ kahu kabeer khojau asamaan | Says Kabeer, I have searched the skies, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਰਾਮ ਸਮਾਨ ਨ ਦੇਖਉ ਆਨ ॥੨॥੩੪॥ raam samaan na dekhau aan |2|34| and have not seen another, equal to the Lord. ||2||34|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਜਿਹ ਸਿਰਿ ਰਚਿ ਰਚਿ ਬਾਧਤ ਪਾਗ ॥ jih sir rach rach baadhat paag | That head which was once embellished with the finest turban - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋ ਸਿਰੁ ਚੁੰਚ ਸਵਾਰਹਿ ਕਾਗ ॥੧॥ so sir chunch savaareh kaag |1|
- upon that head, the crow now cleans his beak. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਸੁ ਤਨ ਧਨ ਕੋ ਕਿਆ ਗਰਬਈਆ ॥ eis tan dhan ko kiaa garabeea | What pride should we take in this body and wealth? - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਾਹੇ ਨ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੑੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ raam naam kaahe na drirraeea |1| rahaau | Why not hold tight to the Lord’s Name instead? ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਸੁਖੁ ਮਾਂਗਤ ਦੁਖੁ ਆਗੈ ਆਵੈ ॥ sukh maangat dukh aagai aavai | People beg for pleasure, but pain comes instead. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਹਮਹੁ ਨ ਮਾਂਗਿਆ ਭਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ so sukh hamahu na maangiaa bhaavai |1| I would rather not beg for that pleasure. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਬਿਖਿਆ ਅਜਹੁ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸੁਖ ਆਸਾ ॥ bikhiaa ajahu surat sukh aasaa | People are involved in corruption, but still, they hope for pleasure. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕੈਸੇ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਨਿਵਾਸਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ kaise hoee hai raajaa raam nivaasaa |1| rahaau | How will they find their home in the Sovereign Lord King? ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਸੁ ਸੁਖ ਤੇ ਸਿਵ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਡਰਾਨਾ ॥ eis sukh te siv braham ddaraanaa | Even Shiva and Brahma are afraid of this pleasure, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਹਮਹੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨਾ ॥੨॥ so sukh hamahu saach kar jaanaa |2| but I have judged that pleasure to be true. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਨਕਾਦਿਕ ਨਾਰਦ ਮੁਨਿ ਸੇਖਾ ॥ sanakaadik naarad mun sekhaa | Even sages like Sanak and Naarad, and the thousand-headed serpent, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਿਨ ਭੀ ਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਮਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਪੇਖਾ ॥੩॥ tin bhee tan meh man nahee pekhaa |3| did not see the mind within the body. ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਕੋਈ ਖੋਜਹੁ ਭਾਈ ॥ eis man kau koee khojahu bhaaee | Anyone can search for this mind, O Siblings of Destiny. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਨ ਛੂਟੇ ਮਨੁ ਕਹਾ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੪॥ tan chhootte man kahaa samaaee |4| When it escapes from the body, where does the mind go? ||4|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਜੈਦੇਉ ਨਾਮਾਂ ॥ gur parasaadee jaideo naamaan | By Guru’s Grace, Jai Dayv and Naam Dayv - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਭਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਇਨ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥੫॥ bhagat kai prem in hee hai jaanaan |5| came to know this, through loving devotional worship of the Lord. ||5|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਨਹੀ ਆਵਨ ਜਾਨਾ ॥ eis man kau nahee aavan jaanaa | This mind does not come or go. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਗਇਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥੬॥ jis kaa bharam geaa tin saach pachhaanaa |6| One whose doubt is dispelled, knows the Truth. ||6|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰੇਖਿਆ ਕਾਈ ॥ eis man kau roop na rekhiaa kaaee | This mind has no form or outline. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹੁਕਮੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਬੂਝਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੭॥ hukame hoeaa hukam boojh samaaee |7| By God’s Command it was created; understanding God’s Command, it will be absorbed into Him again. ||7|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਸ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਨੈ ਭੇਉ ॥ eis man kaa koee jaanai bheo | Does anyone know the secret of this mind? - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਹ ਮਨਿ ਲੀਣ ਭਏ ਸੁਖਦੇਉ ॥੮॥ eih man leen bhe sukhadeo |8| This mind shall merge into the Lord, the Giver of peace and pleasure. ||8|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜੀਉ ਏਕੁ ਅਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਸਰੀਰਾ ॥ jeeo ek ar sagal sareeraa | There is One Soul, and it pervades all bodies. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਰਵਿ ਰਹੇ ਕਬੀਰਾ ॥੯॥੧॥੩੬॥ eis man kau rav rahe kabeeraa |9|1|36| Kabeer dwells upon this Mind. ||9||1||36|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਏਕ ਨਾਮ ਜੋ ਜਾਗੇ ॥ ahinis ek naam jo jaage | Those who are awake to the One Name, day and night - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕੇਤਕ ਸਿਧ ਭਏ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ketak sidh bhe liv laage |1| rahaau |
- many of them have become Siddhas - perfect spiritual beings - with their consciousness attuned to the Lord. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਾਧਕ ਸਿਧ ਸਗਲ ਮੁਨਿ ਹਾਰੇ ॥ saadhak sidh sagal mun haare | The seekers, the Siddhas and the silent sages have all lost the game. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਏਕ ਨਾਮ ਕਲਿਪ ਤਰ ਤਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ek naam kalip tar taare |1| The One Name is the wish-fulfilling Elysian Tree, which saves them and carries them across. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਹਿ ਨ ਆਨਾ ॥ jo har hare su hohi na aanaa | Those who are rejuvenated by the Lord, do not belong to any other. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥੨॥੩੭॥ keh kabeer raam naam pachhaanaa |2|37| Says Kabeer, they realize the Name of the Lord. ||2||37|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਗਉੜੀ ਭੀ ਸੋਰਠਿ ਭੀ ॥ gaurree bhee soratth bhee | Gauree And Also Sorat’h: - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਨਿਲਜ ਲਾਜ ਤੋੁਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ re jeea nilaj laaj tuohi naahee | O shameless being, don’t you feel ashamed? - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹਰਿ ਤਜਿ ਕਤ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ har taj kat kaahoo ke jaanhee |1| rahaau | You have forsaken the Lord - now where will you go? Unto whom will you turn? ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਾ ਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਊਚਾ ਹੋਈ ॥ jaa ko tthaakur aoochaa hoee | One whose Lord and Master is the highest and most exalted - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਪਰ ਘਰ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਸੋਹੀ ॥੧॥ so jan par ghar jaat na sohee |1|
- it is not proper for him to go to the house of another. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥ so saahib rahiaa bharapoor | That Lord and Master is pervading everywhere. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ॥੨॥ sadaa sang naahee har door |2| The Lord is always with us; He is never far away. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਵਲਾ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਹੈ ਜਾ ਕੇ ॥ kavalaa charan saran hai jaa ke | Even Maya takes to the Sanctuary of His Lotus Feet. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹੁ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਘਰ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥੩॥ kahu jan kaa naahee ghar taa ke |3| Tell me, what is there which is not in His home? ||3|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਭੁ ਕੋਊ ਕਹੈ ਜਾਸੁ ਕੀ ਬਾਤਾ ॥ sabh koaoo kahai jaas kee baataa | Everyone speaks of Him; He is All-powerful. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸੋ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਥੁ ਨਿਜ ਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ॥੪॥ so samrath nij pat hai daataa |4| He is His Own Master; He is the Giver. ||4|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਜਗ ਸੋਈ ॥ kahai kabeer pooran jag soee | Says Kabeer, he alone is perfect in this world, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੫॥੩੮॥ jaa ke hiradai avar na hoee |5|38| in whose heart there is none other than the Lord. ||5||38|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
