ਮਨਹਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਵਨ ਸਿਧਿ ਥਾਪੀ ॥੧॥ maneh maar kavan sidh thaapee |1| Who has established himself as a Siddha, a being of miraculous spiritual powers, by killing his mind? ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਵਨੁ ਸੁ ਮੁਨਿ ਜੋ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰੈ ॥ kavan su mun jo man maarai | Who is that silent sage, who has killed his mind? - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਨ ਕਉ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਿਸੁ ਤਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ man kau maar kahahu kis taarai |1| rahaau | By killing the mind, tell me, who is saved? ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬੋਲੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ॥ man antar bolai sabh koee | Everyone speaks through the mind. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮਨ ਮਾਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੨॥ man maare bin bhagat na hoee |2| Without killing the mind, devotional worship is not performed. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੋ ਜਾਨੈ ਭੇਉ ॥ kahu kabeer jo jaanai bheo | Says Kabeer, one who knows the secret of this mystery, - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਕਿਨਿ ਓਇ ਚੀਤੇ ਚੀਤਨਹਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ kin oe cheete cheetanahaare |1|

ਕਹੁ ਰੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਅੰਬਰੁ ਕਾ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗਾ ॥ kahu re panddit anbar kaa siau laagaa | Tell me, O Pandit, what is the sky attached to? - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਸੂਰਜ ਚੰਦੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਉਜੀਆਰਾ ॥ sooraj chand kareh ujeeaaraa | The sun and the moon give their light; - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥੨॥ sabh meh pasariaa braham pasaaraa |2| God’s creative extension extends everywhere. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਜਾਨੈਗਾ ਸੋਇ ॥ kahu kabeer jaanaigaa soe | Says Kabeer, he alone knows this, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਾਮੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਰਾਮੈ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥੨੯॥ hiradai raam mukh raamai hoe |3|29| whose heart is filled with the Lord, and whose mouth is also filled with the Lord. ||3||29|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਸਾਂਕਲ ਜੇਵਰੀ ਲੈ ਹੈ ਆਈ ॥੧॥ saankal jevaree lai hai aaee |1| She has brought a chain and a rope. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਆਪਨ ਨਗਰੁ ਆਪ ਤੇ ਬਾਧਿਆ ॥ aapan nagar aap te baadhiaa | She has imprisoned the people in her own city. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਮੋਹ ਕੈ ਫਾਧਿ ਕਾਲ ਸਰੁ ਸਾਂਧਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ moh kai faadh kaal sar saandhiaa |1| rahaau | She has tightened the noose of emotional attachment and shot the arrow of death. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਟੀ ਨ ਕਟੈ ਤੂਟਿ ਨਹ ਜਾਈ ॥ kattee na kattai toott neh jaaee | By cutting, she cannot be cut, and she cannot be broken. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਾ ਸਾਪਨਿ ਹੋਇ ਜਗ ਕਉ ਖਾਈ ॥੨॥ saa saapan hoe jag kau khaaee |2| She has become a serpent, and she is eating the world. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹਮ ਦੇਖਤ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਲੂਟਿਆ ॥ ham dekhat jin sabh jag loottiaa | Before my very eyes, she has plundered the entire world. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਮੈ ਰਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਛੂਟਿਆ ॥੩॥੩੦॥ kahu kabeer mai raam keh chhoottiaa |3|30| Says Kabeer, chanting the Lord’s Name, I have escaped her. ||3||30|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਦੇਇ ਮੁਹਾਰ ਲਗਾਮੁ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਉ ॥ dee muhaar lagaam pahiraavau | I have grasped the reins and attached the bridle; - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਗਲ ਤ ਜੀਨੁ ਗਗਨ ਦਉਰਾਵਉ ॥੧॥ sagal ta jeen gagan dauraavau |1| abandoning everything, I now ride through the skies. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਪਨੈ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਅਸਵਾਰੀ ਕੀਜੈ ॥ apanai beechaar asavaaree keejai | I made self-reflection my mount, - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਸਹਜ ਕੈ ਪਾਵੜੈ ਪਗੁ ਧਰਿ ਲੀਜੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ sehaj kai paavarrai pag dhar leejai |1| rahaau | and in the stirrups of intuitive poise, I placed my feet. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਚਲੁ ਰੇ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਲੇ ਤਾਰਉ ॥ chal re baikuntth tujheh le taarau | Come, and let me ride you to heaven. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹਿਚਹਿ ਤ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੈ ਚਾਬੁਕ ਮਾਰਉ ॥੨॥ hicheh ta prem kai chaabuk maarau |2| If you hold back, then I shall strike you with the whip of spiritual love. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਜਿਹ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਂਚਉ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਖਾਏ ॥ jih mukh paanchau amrit khaae | That mouth, which used to eat the five delicacies - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਤਿਹ ਮੁਖ ਦੇਖਤ ਲੂਕਟ ਲਾਏ ॥੧॥ tih mukh dekhat lookatt laae |1|
- I have seen the flames being applied to that mouth. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਇਕੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਕਾਟਹੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥ eik dukh raam raae kaattahu meraa | O Lord, my King, please rid me of this one affliction: - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਅਗਨਿ ਦਹੈ ਅਰੁ ਗਰਭ ਬਸੇਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ agan dahai ar garabh baseraa |1| rahaau | may I not be burned in fire, or cast into the womb again. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਾਇਆ ਬਿਗੂਤੀ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਭਾਤੀ ॥ kaaeaa bigootee bahu bidh bhaatee | The body is destroyed by so many ways and means. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕੋ ਜਾਰੇ ਕੋ ਗਡਿ ਲੇ ਮਾਟੀ ॥੨॥ ko jaare ko gadd le maattee |2| Some burn it, and some bury it in the earth. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਦਿਖਾਵਹੁ ॥ kahu kabeer har charan dikhaavahu | Says Kabeer, O Lord, please reveal to me Your Lotus Feet; - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਪਾਛੈ ਤੇ ਜਮੁ ਕਿਉ ਨ ਪਠਾਵਹੁ ॥੩॥੩੨॥ paachhai te jam kiau na patthaavahu |3|32| after that, go ahead and send me to my death. ||3||32|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਜਾਰੈ ਖਸਮੁ ਤ ਰਾਖੈ ਕਵਨਾ ॥੧॥ jaarai khasam ta raakhai kavanaa |1| When our Lord and Master wishes to burn someone, then who can save him? ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਰਾਮ ਜਪਤ ਤਨੁ ਜਰਿ ਕੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ raam japat tan jar kee na jaae | When I chant the Lord’s Name, what does it matter if my body burns? - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਚਿਤੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ raam naam chit rahiaa samaae |1| rahaau | My consciousness remains absorbed in the Lord’s Name. ||1||Pause|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਾ ਕੋ ਜਰੈ ਕਾਹਿ ਹੋਇ ਹਾਨਿ ॥ kaa ko jarai kaeh hoe haan | Who is burned, and who suffers loss? - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਨਟ ਵਟ ਖੇਲੈ ਸਾਰਿਗਪਾਨਿ ॥੨॥ natt vatt khelai saarigapaan |2| The Lord plays, like the juggler with his ball. ||2|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਅਖਰ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਖਿ ॥ kahu kabeer akhar due bhaakh | Says Kabeer, chant the two letters of the Lord’s Name - Raa Maa. - Bhagat Kabir Ji
ਹੋਇਗਾ ਖਸਮੁ ਤ ਲੇਇਗਾ ਰਾਖਿ ॥੩॥੩੩॥ hoeigaa khasam ta leeigaa raakh |3|33| If He is your Lord and Master, He will protect you. ||3||33|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji

ਬਿਨੁ ਬੈਰਾਗ ਨ ਛੂਟਸਿ ਮਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ bin bairaag na chhoottas maaeaa |1| Without renunciation, I cannot escape Maya. ||1|| - Bhagat Kabir Ji
