ਤਿਸੁ ਅਗੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਢੋਈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰਸਿਖੀ ਮਨਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥ tis agai pichhai dtoee naahee gurasikhee man veechaariaa | He shall find no shelter, here or hereafter; the GurSikhs have realized this in their minds. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੋ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੇਈ ਜਨ ਉਬਰੇ ਜਿਨ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਰਿਆ ॥ satiguroo no mile seee jan ubare jin hiradai naam samaariaa | That humble being who meets the True Guru is saved; he cherishes the Naam, the Name of the Lord, in his heart. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਪੁਤਹਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਅਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਿਆ ॥੨॥ jan naanak ke gurasikh putahahu har japiahu har nisataariaa |2| Servant Nanak says: O GurSikhs, O my sons, meditate on the Lord; only the Lord shall save you. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਉਮੈ ਜਗਤੁ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥ haumai jagat bhulaaeaa duramat bikhiaa bikaar | Egotism has led the world astray, along with evil-mindedness and the poison of corruption. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤ ਨਦਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅੰਧ ਅੰਧਿਆਰ ॥ satigur milai ta nadar hoe manamukh andh andhiaar | Meeting with the True Guru, we are blessed by the Lord’s Glance of Grace, while the self-willed manmukh gropes around in the darkness. - Guru Amardas Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਏ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਾਏ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥੩॥ naanak aape mel le jis no sabad laae piaar |3| O Nanak, the Lord absorbs into Himself those whom He inspires to love the Word of His Shabad. ||3|| - Guru Amardas Ji

ਸਚੁ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਸਿਫਤਿ ਸਲਾਹ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਕਰੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਦਰੁ ਭਿਜੈ ॥ sach sache kee sifat salaah hai so kare jis andar bhijai | True are the Praises and the Glories of the True One; he alone speaks them, whose mind is softened within. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਨੀ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਇਕੁ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਕੰਧੁ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਛਿਜੈ ॥ jinee ik man ik araadhiaa tin kaa kandh na kabahoo chhijai | Those who worship the One Lord with single-minded devotion - their bodies shall never perish. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਾਬਾਸਿ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ ਸਚੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਿਜੈ ॥ dhan dhan purakh saabaas hai jin sach rasanaa amrit pijai | Blessed, blessed and acclaimed is that person, who tastes with his tongue the Ambrosial Nectar of the True Name. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵਦਾ ਸੇ ਮਨਿ ਸਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਲਿਜੈ ॥ sach sachaa jin man bhaavadaa se man sachee daragah lijai | One whose mind is pleased with the Truest of the True is accepted in the True Court. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਚਿਆਰੀਆ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲ ਸਚੁ ਕਰਿਜੈ ॥੨੦॥ dhan dhan janam sachiaareea mukh ujal sach karijai |20| Blessed, blessed is the birth of those true beings; the True Lord brightens their faces. ||20|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਸਾਕਤ ਜਾਇ ਨਿਵਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਆਗੈ ਮਨਿ ਖੋਟੇ ਕੂੜਿ ਕੂੜਿਆਰੇ ॥ saakat jaae niveh gur aagai man khotte koorr koorriaare | The faithless cynics go and bow before the Guru, but their minds are corrupt and false, totally false. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਹੈ ਉਠਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਬਹਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਘੁਸਰਿ ਬਗੁਲਾਰੇ ॥ jaa gur kahai utthahu mere bhaaee beh jaeh ghusar bagulaare | When the Guru says, “Rise up, my Siblings of Destiny”, they sit down, crowded in like cranes. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਚੁਣਿ ਕਢੇ ਲਧੋਵਾਰੇ ॥ gurasikhaa andar satigur varatai chun kadte ladhovaare | The True Guru prevails among His GurSikhs; they pick out and expel the wanderers. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਓਇ ਅਗੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਬਹਿ ਮੁਹੁ ਛਪਾਇਨਿ ਨ ਰਲਨੀ ਖੋਟੇਆਰੇ ॥ oe agai pichhai beh muhu chhapaaein na ralanee khotteaare | Sitting here and there, they hide their faces; being counterfeit, they cannot mix with the genuine. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਓਨਾ ਦਾ ਭਖੁ ਸੁ ਓਥੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਇ ਕੂੜੁ ਲਹਨਿ ਭੇਡਾਰੇ ॥ onaa daa bhakh su othai naahee jaae koorr lehan bheddaare | There is no food for them there; the false go into the filth like sheep. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੇ ਸਾਕਤੁ ਨਰੁ ਖਾਵਾਈਐ ਲੋਚੀਐ ਬਿਖੁ ਕਢੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਉਗਲਾਰੇ ॥ je saakat nar khaavaaeeai locheeai bikh kadtai mukh ugalaare | If you try to feed the faithless cynic, he will spit out poison from his mouth. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਸਾਕਤ ਸੇਤੀ ਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਕਰੀਅਹੁ ਓਇ ਮਾਰੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੇ ॥ har saakat setee sang na kareeahu oe maare sirajanahaare | O Lord, let me not be in the company of the faithless cynic, who is cursed by the Creator Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਇਹੁ ਖੇਲੁ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ jis kaa ihu khel soee kar vekhai jan naanak naam samaare |1| This drama belongs to the Lord; He performs it, and He watches over it. Servant Nanak cherishes the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਗੰਮੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥ satigur purakh agam hai jis andar har ur dhaariaa | The True Guru, the Primal Being, is inaccessible; He has enshrined the Lord’s Name within His heart. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੋ ਅਪੜਿ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸਕਈ ਜਿਸੁ ਵਲਿ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰਿਆ ॥ satiguroo no aparr koe na sakee jis val sirajanahaariaa | No one can equal the True Guru; the Creator Lord is on His side. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਖੜਗੁ ਸੰਜੋਉ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਹੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਕਾਲੁ ਕੰਟਕੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਵਿਡਾਰਿਆ ॥ satiguroo kaa kharrag sanjoau har bhagat hai jit kaal kanttak maar viddaariaa | Devotional worship of the Lord is the sword and armor of the True Guru; He has killed and cast out Death, the torturer. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਰਖਣਹਾਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਭਿ ਉਬਾਰਿਆ ॥ satiguroo kaa rakhanahaaraa har aap hai satiguroo kai pichhai har sabh ubaariaa | The Lord Himself is the Protector of the True Guru. The Lord saves all those who follow in the footsteps of the True Guru. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੋ ਮੰਦਾ ਚਿਤਵੈ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਸੋ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਵਣਹਾਰੈ ਮਾਰਿਆ ॥ jo mandaa chitavai poore satiguroo kaa so aap upaavanahaarai maariaa | One who thinks evil of the Perfect True Guru - the Creator Lord Himself destroys him. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਏਹ ਗਲ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਗਮੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥੨॥ eeh gal hovai har daragah sache kee jan naanak agam veechaariaa |2| These words will be confirmed as true in the Court of the Lord; servant Nanak reveals this mystery. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਸਚੁ ਸੁਤਿਆ ਜਿਨੀ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਜਾ ਉਠੇ ਤਾ ਸਚੁ ਚਵੇ ॥ sach sutiaa jinee araadhiaa jaa utthe taa sach chave | Those who dwell upon the True Lord while asleep, utter the True Name when they are awake. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਣੀਅਹਿ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਚੁ ਰਵੇ ॥ se virale jug meh jaaneeeh jo guramukh sach rave | How rare in the world are those Gurmukhs who dwell upon the True Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਜਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਚੁ ਲਵੇ ॥ hau balihaaree tin kau ji anadin sach lave | I am a sacrifice to those who chant the True Name, night and day. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਸਚਾ ਭਾਵਦਾ ਸੇ ਸਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਗਵੇ ॥ jin man tan sachaa bhaavadaa se sachee daragah gave | The True Lord is pleasing to their minds and bodies; they go to the Court of the True Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੈ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਸਦਾ ਨਵੇ ॥੨੧॥ jan naanak bolai sach naam sach sachaa sadaa nave |21| Servant Nanak chants the True Name; truly, the True Lord is forever brand new. ||21|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
