ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਤੂ ਸਚੁ ਸਚੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੋਤਿ ॥੧੬॥ jan naanak naam salaeh too sach sache sevaa teree hot |16| O servant Nanak, praise the Naam, the Name of the Lord; this is your service to the Lord, the Truest of the True. ||16|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਸਭਿ ਰਸ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਰਿਦੈ ਹਹਿ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ sabh ras tin kai ridai heh jin har vasiaa man maeh | All joy is in the hearts of those, within whose minds the Lord abides. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਸਭਿ ਦੇਖਣ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ har darageh te mukh ujale tin kau sabh dekhan jaeh | In the Court of the Lord, their faces are radiant, and everyone goes to see them. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਨ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਭਉ ਕੋਈ ਨਾਹਿ ॥ jin nirbhau naam dhiaaeaa tin kau bhau koee naeh | Those who meditate on the Name of the Fearless Lord have no fear. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਉਤਮੁ ਤਿਨੀ ਸਰੇਵਿਆ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਆਹਿ ॥ har utam tinee sareviaa jin kau dhur likhiaa aaeh | Those who have such pre-destined destiny remember the Sublime Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਪੈਨਾਈਅਹਿ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ te har darageh painaaeeeh jin har vutthaa man maeh | Those, within whose minds the Lord abides, are robed with honor in the Court of the Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਓਇ ਆਪਿ ਤਰੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਸਿਉ ਤਿਨ ਪਿਛੈ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਛਡਾਹਿ ॥ oe aap tare sabh kuttanb siau tin pichhai sabh jagat chhaddaeh | They are carried across, along with all their family, and the whole world is saved along with them. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਜਨ ਤਿਨ ਵੇਖਿ ਵੇਖਿ ਹਮ ਜੀਵਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ jan naanak kau har mel jan tin vekh vekh ham jeevaeh |1| O Lord, please unite servant Nanak with Your humble servants; beholding them, beholding them, I live. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਸਾ ਧਰਤੀ ਭਈ ਹਰੀਆਵਲੀ ਜਿਥੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਬੈਠਾ ਆਇ ॥ saa dharatee bhee hareeaavalee jithai meraa satigur baitthaa aae | That land, where my True Guru comes and sits, becomes green and fertile. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੇ ਜੰਤ ਭਏ ਹਰੀਆਵਲੇ ਜਿਨੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥ se jant bhe hareeaavale jinee meraa satigur dekhiaa jaae | Those beings who go and behold my True Guru are rejuvenated. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਕੁਲੁ ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸੁ ਜਨਨੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਜਣਿਆ ਮਾਇ ॥ dhan dhan pitaa dhan dhan kul dhan dhan su jananee jin guroo janiaa maae | Blessed, blessed is the father; blessed, blessed is the family; blessed, blessed is the mother, who gave birth to the Guru. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਆਪਿ ਤਰਿਆ ਜਿਨੀ ਡਿਠਾ ਤਿਨਾ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਇ ॥ dhan dhan guroo jin naam araadhiaa aap tariaa jinee dditthaa tinaa le chhaddaae | Blessed, blessed is the Guru, who worships and adores the Naam; He saves Himself, and emancipates those who see Him. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਧੋਵੈ ਪਾਇ ॥੨॥ har satigur melahu deaa kar jan naanak dhovai paae |2| O Lord, be kind, and unite me with the True Guru, that servant Nanak may wash His feet. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਅਮਰੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥ sach sachaa satigur amar hai jis andar har ur dhaariaa | Truest of the True is the Immortal True Guru; He has enshrined the Lord deep within His heart. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਬਿਖੁ ਮਾਰਿਆ ॥ sach sachaa satigur purakh hai jin kaam krodh bikh maariaa | Truest of the True is the True Guru, the Primal Being, who has conquered sexual desire, anger and corruption. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਾ ਡਿਠਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤਾਂ ਅੰਦਰਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਾਧਾਰਿਆ ॥ jaa dditthaa pooraa satiguroo taan andarahu man saadhaariaa | When I see the Perfect True Guru, then deep within, my mind is comforted and consoled. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਘੁਮਿ ਵਾਰਿਆ ॥ balihaaree gur aapane sadaa sadaa ghum vaariaa | I am a sacrifice to my True Guru; I am devoted and dedicated to Him, forever and ever. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਿਤਾ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਹਾਰਿਆ ॥੧੭॥ guramukh jitaa manamukh haariaa |17| A Gurmukh wins the battle of life whereas a self-willed manmukh loses it. ||17|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਿਓਨੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਸੀ ॥ kar kirapaa satigur melion mukh guramukh naam dhiaaeisee | By His Grace, He leads us to meet the True Guru; then, as Gurmukh, we chant the Lord’s Name, and meditate on it. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੋ ਕਰੇ ਜਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਵਸੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਘਰੀ ਵਸਾਇਸੀ ॥ so kare ji satigur bhaavasee gur pooraa gharee vasaaeisee | We do that which pleases the True Guru; the Perfect Guru comes to dwell in the home of the heart. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਨ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਸਭੁ ਗਵਾਇਸੀ ॥ jin andar naam nidhaan hai tin kaa bhau sabh gavaaeisee | Those who have the treasure of the Naam deep within - all their fears are removed. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਨ ਰਖਣ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਹੋਇ ਹੋਰ ਕੇਤੀ ਝਖਿ ਝਖਿ ਜਾਇਸੀ ॥ jin rakhan kau har aap hoe hor ketee jhakh jhakh jaaeisee | They are protected by the Lord Himself; others struggle and fight against them, but they only come to death. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਤੂ ਹਰਿ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਛੋਡਾਇਸੀ ॥੧॥ jan naanak naam dhiaae too har halat palat chhoddaaeisee |1| O servant Nanak, meditate on the Naam; the Lord shall deliver you, here and hereafter. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵਦੀ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ gurasikhaa kai man bhaavadee gur satigur kee vaddiaaee | The glorious greatness of the Guru, the True Guru, is pleasing to the GurSikh’s mind. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਪੈਜ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੀ ਨਿਤ ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਈ ॥ har raakhahu paij satiguroo kee nit charrai savaaee | The Lord preserves the honor of the True Guru, which increases day by day. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਹੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਛਡਾਈ ॥ gur satigur kai man paarabraham hai paarabraham chhaddaaee | The Supreme Lord God is in the Mind of the Guru, the True Guru; the Supreme Lord God saves Him. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤਾਣੁ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਭ ਆਣਿ ਨਿਵਾਈ ॥ gur satigur taan deebaan har tin sabh aan nivaaee | The Lord is the Power and Support of the Guru, the True Guru; all come to bow before Him. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਨੀ ਡਿਠਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭਾਉ ਕਰਿ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਸਭਿ ਪਾਪ ਗਵਾਈ ॥ jinee dditthaa meraa satigur bhaau kar tin ke sabh paap gavaaee | Those who have gazed lovingly upon my True Guru - all their sins are taken away. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਬਹੁ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਈ ॥ har daragah te mukh ujale bahu sobhaa paaee | Their faces are radiant in the Court of the Lord, and they obtain great glory. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੰਗੈ ਧੂੜਿ ਤਿਨ ਜੋ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥੨॥ jan naanak mangai dhoorr tin jo gur ke sikh mere bhaaee |2| Servant Nanak begs for the dust of the feet of those GurSikhs, O my Siblings of Destiny. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਹਉ ਆਖਿ ਸਲਾਹੀ ਸਿਫਤਿ ਸਚੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ hau aakh salaahee sifat sach sach sache kee vaddiaaee | I chant the Praises and Glories of the True One. True is the glorious greatness of the True Lord. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਲਾਹ ਸਚੁ ਸਚੁ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥ saalaahee sach salaah sach sach keemat kinai na paaee | I praise the True Lord, and the Praises of the True Lord. His worth cannot be estimated. - Guru Ramdas Ji
