ਓਇ ਅਗੈ ਕੁਸਟੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਫਿਟਕੇ ਜਿ ਓਸੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਕੁਸਟੁ ਉਠਾਹੀ ॥ oe agai kusattee gur ke fittake ji os milai tis kusatt utthaahee | They have already become like lepers; cursed by the Guru, whoever meets them is also afflicted with leprosy. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਜੋ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਹੀ ॥ har tin kaa darasan naa karahu jo doojai bhaae chit laahee | O Lord, I pray that I may not even catch sight of those, who focus their consciousness on the love of duality. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਧੁਰਿ ਕਰਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਾਲਿ ਕਿਹੁ ਚਾਰਾ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ dhur karatai aap likh paaeaa tis naal kihu chaaraa naahee | That which the Creator pre-ordained from the very beginning - there can be no escape from that. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਤੂ ਤਿਸੁ ਅਪੜਿ ਕੋ ਨ ਸਕਾਹੀ ॥ jan naanak naam araadh too tis aparr ko na sakaahee | O servant Nanak, worship and adore the Naam, the Name of the Lord; no one can equal it. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਾਵੈ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵਡੀ ਹੈ ਨਿਤ ਸਵਾਈ ਚੜੈ ਚੜਾਹੀ ॥੨॥ naavai kee vaddiaaee vaddee hai nit savaaee charrai charraahee |2| Great is the greatness of His Name; it increases, day by day. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਜਿ ਹੋਂਦੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਹਿ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵਡੀ ਹੋਈ ॥ ji hondai guroo beh ttikiaa tis jan kee vaddiaaee vaddee hoee | Great is the greatness of that humble being, whom the Guru Himself anointed in His Presence. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤਿਸੁ ਕਉ ਜਗਤੁ ਨਿਵਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਪੈਰੀ ਪਇਆ ਜਸੁ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਲੋਈ ॥ tis kau jagat niviaa sabh pairee peaa jas varatiaa loee | All the world comes and bows to him, falling at his feet. His praises spread throughout the world. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਖੰਡ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਜਿਸ ਕੈ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਹਥੁ ਧਰਿਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਸੋ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਈ ॥ tis kau khandd brahamandd namasakaar kareh jis kai masatak hath dhariaa gur poorai so pooraa hoee | The galaxies and solar systems bow in reverence to him; the Perfect Guru has placed His hand upon his head, and he has become perfect. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਨਿਤ ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਈ ਅਪੜਿ ਕੋ ਨ ਸਕੋਈ ॥ gur kee vaddiaaee nit charrai savaaee aparr ko na sakoee | The glorious greatness of the Guru increases day by day; no one can equal it. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਬਹਿ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਆਪੇ ਪੈਜ ਰਖੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥੩॥ jan naanak har karatai aap beh ttikiaa aape paij rakhai prabh soee |3| O servant Nanak, the Creator Lord Himself established him; God preserves his honor. ||3|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਕਾਇਆ ਕੋਟੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਹਟਨਾਲੇ ॥ kaaeaa kott apaar hai andar hattanaale | The human body is a great fortress, with its shops and streets within. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਉਦਾ ਜੋ ਕਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਵਸਤੁ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥ guramukh saudaa jo kare har vasat samaale | The Gurmukh who comes to trade gathers the cargo of the Lord’s Name. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਵਣਜੀਐ ਹੀਰੇ ਪਰਵਾਲੇ ॥ naam nidhaan har vanajeeai heere paravaale | He deals in the treasure of the Lord’s Name, the jewels and the diamonds. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਵਿਣੁ ਕਾਇਆ ਜਿ ਹੋਰ ਥੈ ਧਨੁ ਖੋਜਦੇ ਸੇ ਮੂੜ ਬੇਤਾਲੇ ॥ vin kaaeaa ji hor thai dhan khojade se moorr betaale | Those who search for this treasure outside of the body, in other places, are foolish demons. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸੇ ਉਝੜਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਭਵਾਈਅਹਿ ਜਿਉ ਝਾੜ ਮਿਰਗੁ ਭਾਲੇ ॥੧੫॥ se ujharr bharam bhavaaeeeh jiau jhaarr mirag bhaale |15| They wander around in the wilderness of doubt, like the deer who searches for the musk in the bushes. ||15|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਜੋ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਸੁ ਅਉਖਾ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਹੋਇਆ ॥ jo nindaa kare satigur poore kee su aaukhaa jag meh hoeaa | One who slanders the Perfect True Guru, shall have difficulty in this world. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਨਰਕ ਘੋਰੁ ਦੁਖ ਖੂਹੁ ਹੈ ਓਥੈ ਪਕੜਿ ਓਹੁ ਢੋਇਆ ॥ narak ghor dukh khoohu hai othai pakarr ohu dtoeaa | He is caught and thrown into the most horrible hell, the well of pain and suffering. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਕੂਕ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੋ ਨ ਸੁਣੇ ਓਹੁ ਅਉਖਾ ਹੋਇ ਹੋਇ ਰੋਇਆ ॥ kook pukaar ko na sune ohu aaukhaa hoe hoe roeaa | No one listens to his shrieks and cries; he cries out in pain and misery. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਓਨਿ ਹਲਤੁ ਪਲਤੁ ਸਭੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਲਾਹਾ ਮੂਲੁ ਸਭੁ ਖੋਇਆ ॥ on halat palat sabh gavaaeaa laahaa mool sabh khoeaa | He totally loses this world and the next; he has lost all of his investment and profit. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਓਹੁ ਤੇਲੀ ਸੰਦਾ ਬਲਦੁ ਕਰਿ ਨਿਤ ਭਲਕੇ ਉਠਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਜੋਇਆ ॥ ohu telee sandaa balad kar nit bhalake utth prabh joeaa | He is like the ox at the oil-press; each morning when he rises, God places the yoke upon him. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਹਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਸੁਣੈ ਨਿਤ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤਿਦੂ ਕਿਛੁ ਗੁਝਾ ਨ ਹੋਇਆ ॥ har vekhai sunai nit sabh kichh tidoo kichh gujhaa na hoeaa | The Lord always sees and hears everything; nothing can be concealed from Him. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜੈਸਾ ਬੀਜੇ ਸੋ ਲੁਣੈ ਜੇਹਾ ਪੁਰਬਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਬੋਇਆ ॥ jaisaa beeje so lunai jehaa purab kinai boeaa | As you plant, so shall you harvest, according to what you planted in the past. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਿਸੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਧੋਇਆ ॥ jis kripaa kare prabh aapanee tis satigur ke charan dhoeaa | One who is blessed by God’s Grace washes the feet of the True Guru. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਿਛੈ ਤਰਿ ਗਇਆ ਜਿਉ ਲੋਹਾ ਕਾਠ ਸੰਗੋਇਆ ॥ gur satigur pichhai tar geaa jiau lohaa kaatth sangoeaa | He is carried across by the Guru, the True Guru, like iron which is carried across by wood. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਤੂ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇਆ ॥੧॥ jan naanak naam dhiaae too jap har har naam sukh hoeaa |1| O servant Nanak, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, peace is obtained. ||1|| - Guru Ramdas Ji

ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਜਿਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥ vaddabhaageea sohaaganee jinaa guramukh miliaa har raae | Very fortunate is the soul-bride, who, as Gurmukh, meets the Lord, her King. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਅੰਤਰ ਜੋਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੀਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥ antar jot pragaaseea naanak naam samaae |2| Her inner being is illiminated with His Divine Light; O Nanak, she is absorbed in His Name. ||2|| - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਪਉੜੀ ॥ paurree | Pauree: - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਇਹੁ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਸਭੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਜੋਤਿ ॥ eihu sareer sabh dharam hai jis andar sache kee vich jot | This body is the home of Dharma; the Divine Light of the True Lord is within it. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਗੁਹਜ ਰਤਨ ਵਿਚਿ ਲੁਕਿ ਰਹੇ ਕੋਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਕਢੈ ਖੋਤਿ ॥ guhaj ratan vich luk rahe koee guramukh sevak kadtai khot | Hidden within it are the jewels of mystery; how rare is that Gurmukh, that selfless servant, who digs them out. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਸਭੁ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਇਕੁ ਰਵਿਆ ਇਕੋ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ॥ sabh aatam raam pachhaaniaa taan ik raviaa iko ot pot | When someone realizes the All-pervading Soul, then he sees the One and Only Lord permeating, through and through. - Guru Ramdas Ji
ਇਕੁ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਇਕੁ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਇਕੋ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਸਰੋਤਿ ॥ eik dekhiaa ik maniaa iko suniaa sravan sarot | He sees the One, he believes in the One, and with his ears, he listens only to the One. - Guru Ramdas Ji
