ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਫਲ ਜਨੰਮ ॥੫॥ naanak saadh kai sang safal janam |5| O Nanak, in the Company of the Holy, one’s life becomes fruitful. ||5|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਹੀ ਕਛੁ ਘਾਲ ॥ saadh kai sang nahee kachh ghaal | In the Company of the Holy, there is no suffering. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਦਰਸਨੁ ਭੇਟਤ ਹੋਤ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥ darasan bhettat hot nihaal | The Blessed Vision of their Darshan brings a sublime, happy peace. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਲੂਖਤ ਹਰੈ ॥ saadh kai sang kalookhat harai | In the Company of the Holy, blemishes are removed. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਰਕ ਪਰਹਰੈ ॥ saadh kai sang narak paraharai | In the Company of the Holy, hell is far away. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ॥ saadh kai sang eehaa aoohaa suhelaa | In the Company of the Holy, one is happy here and hereafter. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਬਿਛੁਰਤ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਾ ॥ saadhasang bichhurat har melaa | In the Company of the Holy, the separated ones are reunited with the Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜੋ ਇਛੈ ਸੋਈ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥ jo ichhai soee fal paavai | The fruits of one’s desires are obtained. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਾਵੈ ॥ saadh kai sang na birathaa jaavai | In the Company of the Holy, no one goes empty-handed. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਸਾਧ ਰਿਦ ਬਸੈ ॥ paarabraham saadh rid basai | The Supreme Lord God dwells in the hearts of the Holy. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਧਰੈ ਸਾਧ ਸੁਨਿ ਰਸੈ ॥੬॥ naanak udharai saadh sun rasai |6| O Nanak, listening to the sweet words of the Holy, one is saved. ||6|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਨਉ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥ saadh kai sang sunau har naau | In the Company of the Holy, listen to the Name of the Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਉ ॥ saadhasang har ke gun gaau | In the Company of the Holy, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਬਿਸਰੈ ॥ saadh kai sang na man te bisarai | In the Company of the Holy, do not forget Him from your mind. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਸਰਪਰ ਨਿਸਤਰੈ ॥ saadhasang sarapar nisatarai | In the Company of the Holy, you shall surely be saved. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਗੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੀਠਾ ॥ saadh kai sang lagai prabh meetthaa | In the Company of the Holy, God seems very sweet. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਡੀਠਾ ॥ saadhoo kai sang ghatt ghatt ddeetthaa | In the Company of the Holy, He is seen in each and every heart. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਭਏ ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ॥ saadhasang bhe aagiaakaaree | In the Company of the Holy, we become obedient to the Lord. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਗਤਿ ਭਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥ saadhasang gat bhee hamaaree | In the Company of the Holy, we obtain the state of salvation. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਟੇ ਸਭਿ ਰੋਗ ॥ saadh kai sang mitte sabh rog | In the Company of the Holy, all diseases are cured. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਭੇਟੇ ਸੰਜੋਗ ॥੭॥ naanak saadh bhette sanjog |7| O Nanak, one meets with the Holy, by highest destiny. ||7|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਬੇਦ ਨ ਜਾਨਹਿ ॥ saadh kee mahimaa bed na jaaneh | The glory of the Holy people is not known to the Vedas. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜੇਤਾ ਸੁਨਹਿ ਤੇਤਾ ਬਖਿਆਨਹਿ ॥ jetaa suneh tetaa bakhiaaneh | They can describe only what they have heard. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਤਿਹੁ ਗੁਣ ਤੇ ਦੂਰਿ ॥ saadh kee upamaa tihu gun te door | The greatness of the Holy people is beyond the three qualities. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਰਹੀ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥ saadh kee upamaa rahee bharapoor | The greatness of the Holy people is all-pervading. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਕਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਅੰਤ ॥ saadh kee sobhaa kaa naahee ant | The glory of the Holy people has no limit. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਸਦਾ ਬੇਅੰਤ ॥ saadh kee sobhaa sadaa beant | The glory of the Holy people is infinite and eternal. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਊਚ ਤੇ ਊਚੀ ॥ saadh kee sobhaa aooch te aoochee | The glory of the Holy people is the highest of the high. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਮੂਚ ਤੇ ਮੂਚੀ ॥ saadh kee sobhaa mooch te moochee | The glory of the Holy people is the greatest of the great. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਸਾਧ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥ saadh kee sobhaa saadh ban aaee | The glory of the Holy people is theirs alone; - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭੇਦੁ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੮॥੭॥ naanak saadh prabh bhed na bhaaee |8|7| O Nanak, there is no difference between the Holy people and God. ||8||7|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਮਨਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਇ ॥ man saachaa mukh saachaa soe | The True One is on his mind, and the True One is upon his lips. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਪੇਖੈ ਏਕਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਕੋਇ ॥ avar na pekhai ekas bin koe | He sees only the One. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹ ਲਛਣ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥ naanak ih lachhan braham giaanee hoe |1| O Nanak, these are the qualities of the God-conscious being. ||1|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ॥ braham giaanee sadaa niralep | The God-conscious being is always unattached, - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜੈਸੇ ਜਲ ਮਹਿ ਕਮਲ ਅਲੇਪ ॥ jaise jal meh kamal alep | as the lotus in the water remains detached. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਦੋਖ ॥ braham giaanee sadaa niradokh | The God-conscious being is always unstained, - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜੈਸੇ ਸੂਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਕਉ ਸੋਖ ॥ jaise soor sarab kau sokh | like the sun, which gives its comfort and warmth to all. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਮਾਨਿ ॥ braham giaanee kai drisatt samaan | The God-conscious being looks upon all alike, - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜੈਸੇ ਰਾਜ ਰੰਕ ਕਉ ਲਾਗੈ ਤੁਲਿ ਪਵਾਨ ॥ jaise raaj rank kau laagai tul pavaan | like the wind, which blows equally upon the king and the poor beggar. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਧੀਰਜੁ ਏਕ ॥ braham giaanee kai dheeraj ek | The God-conscious being has a steady patience, - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜਿਉ ਬਸੁਧਾ ਕੋਊ ਖੋਦੈ ਕੋਊ ਚੰਦਨ ਲੇਪ ॥ jiau basudhaa koaoo khodai koaoo chandan lep | like the earth, which is dug up by one, and anointed with sandal paste by another. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਾ ਇਹੈ ਗੁਨਾਉ ॥ braham giaanee kaa ihai gunaau | This is the quality of the God-conscious being: - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਉ ਪਾਵਕ ਕਾ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਉ ॥੧॥ naanak jiau paavak kaa sehaj subhaau |1| O Nanak, his inherent nature is like a warming fire. ||1|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ॥ braham giaanee niramal te niramalaa | The God-conscious being is the purest of the pure; - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜੈਸੇ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਜਲਾ ॥ jaise mail na laagai jalaa | filth does not stick to water. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਹੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ॥ braham giaanee kai man hoe pragaas | The God-conscious being’s mind is enlightened, - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਜੈਸੇ ਧਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਆਕਾਸੁ ॥ jaise dhar aoopar aakaas | like the sky above the earth. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਮਾਨਿ ॥ braham giaanee kai mitr satru samaan | To the God-conscious being, friend and foe are the same. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ॥ braham giaanee kai naahee abhimaan | The God-conscious being has no egotistical pride. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਊਚ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ॥ braham giaanee aooch te aoochaa | The God-conscious being is the highest of the high. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਮਨਿ ਅਪਨੈ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਤੇ ਨੀਚਾ ॥ man apanai hai sabh te neechaa | Within his own mind, he is the most humble of all. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਭਏ ॥ braham giaanee se jan bhe | They alone become God-conscious beings, - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੨॥ naanak jin prabh aap karee |2| O Nanak, whom God Himself makes so. ||2|| - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਗਲ ਕੀ ਰੀਨਾ ॥ braham giaanee sagal kee reenaa | The God-conscious being is the dust of all. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਆਤਮ ਰਸੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਚੀਨਾ ॥ aatam ras braham giaanee cheenaa | The God-conscious being knows the nature of the soul. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਮਇਆ ॥ braham giaanee kee sabh aoopar meaa | The God-conscious being shows kindness to all. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਤੇ ਕਛੁ ਬੁਰਾ ਨ ਭਇਆ ॥ braham giaanee te kachh buraa na bheaa | No evil comes from the God-conscious being. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਦਰਸੀ ॥ braham giaanee sadaa samadarasee | The God-conscious being is always impartial. - Guru Arjan Dev Ji
